  1. This double prim 1024m parcel  (702 LI) has is protected by roadside to the east and  water view / sailing access to Horizons waters to the North. 100k L$
The parcel next door sold rather faster than I expected so...if you were eyeing that, check it out and enjoy!

I'm aware of Genus (one of my alts has Babyface), but if Catwa has started doing that's it's news to me. In any case, I'm not bothered by what an individual person chooses to do, more power to you. I only blame the collective for the widespread issues, and the solution is to just inform and educate people.

Fair enough. Just being a stickler for the sake of accuracy (I'm sure you can understand that) because HD appliers don't use the SLUV, and that's kinda the point of them, right?  :) Catwa introduced HD lips as a bolt-on item in Fall 2019 and added them to heads / huds in December 2019.

Most heads use the entire LL head UV anyway, so there is no difference in texture resolution between appliers and BOM.

HD appliers for Lelutka Evolution, Genus, or Catwa don't use the LL UV. They are higher resolution textures applied to their own layers over top of BOM. Yes, I know this adds to the texture memory used by my avatar.

  4. I do love HD makeup but otherwise? BOM all the way. Case in point. I updated my body today. All I had to do was activate BOM in the hud, replace links and done. If an outfit has a particular tattoo, freckles, a blemish, it's all still there. No hunting for appliers, wondering what skin I wore or what tattoo. So simple.

  6. I think the oft-seen "I don't usually IM first" is a direct and unforunate result of inaccurate assumptions about what it means to send or respond to IMs, especially in clubs.  So we end up with the SL equivalent of middle-school dances with people lined up opposite the dance floor not wanting to make a move. Having grown up in this culture of silence it never really occured to me that open chat could be an antidote of sorts. Ever been shouted at because you sent an innocent IM and then didn't want to go home with them after 15 minutes? I don't want to live my life based on that kind of negative experience!

To expand on my previous comment: people who don't often visit these kind of clubs may not realize we get a steady stream of "Gee it's quiet in here" types who generally leave five minutes later. And yet in these places conversations do happen. Shopping or sales are usually a good bet, everyone has an opinion there.

. It's funny that it is mainly oldbies in it, apparently

I think that’s a misconception because only oldbies stand around saying “Look at all these oldbies! I’ve been here 13 years how bout you! Remember prims??” There are TONS of Residents in Bellieseria.

How do you recognize an oldbie in Second Life?

Wait five minutes, they’ll tell you 😛

I want to get rid of my parcel and get one of those but wanted to make sure of those things before I went ahead and gave up my plot.

Apologies if you are well aware of this but since you are a brand new member I feel it should be mentioned:  if you give up your plot expecting to immediately obtain a new premium home you will most likely be disappointed.

Take a good look around the forums. Supplies are limited. The When did you last see a Bellisserian home available? thread gives an idea of the lengths it might take to get a home at this particular moment. In summary, the only homes available are small releases by LL and those abandoned by others. A few are abandoned every day. There are 2-3 small releases (20ish homes each) per week which are at random times and sell out in seconds.

On the other hand if you increase your tier level so you have 1024 free, you can try for a new home without giving up your old. You'll only be charged if you get a new home.
