  1. The Fairgrounds is not currently empty Hammies have an event going on now with a ground experience portal leading to the build in the sky
  2. And whoops sorry Abnor, you were posting as I was typing! Ma baaaaad
  3. As for entering streams for other people. Abnor essentially has created a master list. Where your name is in the radio to add your own stream. Beyond that, he would need to clarify exactly what that means since he runs the group and radios. @Abnor Mole
  4. Correct yes. The Fairgrounds though, is usually not booked for a standard 2 hour DJ party let's say (just an example). Though I assume it certainly could be! Most tend to book it for events rather than a singuilar DJ party. Be it a full day event, a weekend, a week or longer in some cases. And during said events, many of the event organizers DO invite DJ's or singers to come and entertain the community. My partner and I currently have an event running there for the month of April - HamRaiders. And over the course of the month - there are about 13 DJ parties sprinkled throughout our booked time there. Most regular DJ parties though .. let's say a one time, 2-3 hour party. Tend to happen at the community centers. Campwich, Surf Beach etc etc. And they are fantastic open spaces that can hold quite a good crowd. Those community centers also have the public dj radio's that Abnor mentioned earlier here. So once he adds you to that particular list you can then simply click the radio, paste in your stream and boom you are good to go! I am not sure if people NEED to be a Belli resident specifically to use those radio's though. @Abnor Mole can you shed some light on this please?
  5. Tipping DJ's and performers has always been a thing in Bellisseria. LL and the Moles were and are aware of this. The difference now is we can suggest it outloud. to the effect of "Hey DJ Aethelwine is playing some fantastic music, feel free to show her some love!!". Prior to this very recent change, we were not allowed to make those types of suggestions whatsoever. So the main change really, is now we can be vocal about it We still can only rez tip jars though at the Fairgrounds. As Belli residents do not have rez rights at any of the community centers and understandably so. In respect to your mention of doing some events. If/when you go forward with that. Please send me an IM inworld sometime. And I would be more than happy to give you a notice rights tag in the Bellisseria Entertainers and Events group so that you can post any IN Belli parties/events that you do. Bellisseria Events is another group that is worth joining as you can post IN Belli parties/events there as well I look forward to seeing your ideas come to Belli
  6. Heya diamond. The note card that was sent out in the performers group by Abnor Mole stated this: Changes to the Bellisseria tipping/donations policy "Hey everyone! We have some good news. As of March 29th 2023 we've made a change to the Linden Homes Covenant in Bellisseria. Tipping will now be allowed for DJing or other events in Belliseria AS LONG AS it is in a Community region. This applies to all the regions like Campwich, Randelsham, Newbank, Shobu, etc, as well as the Fairgrounds, SS Galaxy and the Fantasy wedding venue in Fairstone Quarry. You won't be able to rez a tipjar in most of those locations, but if you hold an event there you can solicit for donations or gratuities. Tipping is still NOT allowed on resident parcels or public spaces outside of the Community regions. We don't want residents turning their residential homes into commercial clubs with tipjars or donations kiosks. *Activities and items that could be construed by Linden Lab as commercial and for profit are not permitted in the residential homes and houseboats in Bellisseria. This includes using parcels for storing delivery servers, dropboxes or working vendors. Tipping/Donations are allowed at functions held in Community Regions only." As for actual tip jars (these are my words, not Abnor's btw (though he did confirm this with me). Tip jars can be used at the Fairgrounds but that is simply due to the loophole that if you already have a Fairground group tag to dj or perform at an event being held there, then you have rez rights. So in that particular case, LL will allow tip jars during sets, performances/shows. Hope this helps clear things up
  7. The Bellisseria Animal Sanctuary presents: Zoo-Palooza 4 HAMRAIDERS - THE CARROT OF LIFE Coming to the Bellisseria Fairgrounds on April 1st, 2023 photo taken by varihammy!
  8. Thank you for taking the time to do this. My profile is also set to friends all down the list in the privacy options. Yet people who are not on my friends list are getting my entire profile as well while logged out. As shown above in a previous post.
  9. That is rather curious. I just had a few people do a search for me and they could not find any of that. Where did you search from? They were however, able to find it by being logged in and using the key for my avatar name.
  10. My reason for the post was not to complain that there is a second life search. It was the fact that a certain website offered an opt out option but then directly linked a resource that can not be opted out of. But thank you for the insults and the mocking baby talk. I am sure you are a real hit at parties. My hope was to have an adult discussion about things. Clearly that is not possible so I will gracefully bow out.
  11. Right lol and I am referring solely to said third party website. My issue is not with LL. I was clear about that from the word go
  12. I will send you a private IM with that info since we are not supposed to reference certain things here Sent to your inbox here on the forum!
  13. I see your point in regards to profiles being available. But I think the general concensus is that they would be available to fellow residents who "log in" to obtain said information/do searches etc. As I mentioned in my first post. What actually concerned me and the reason for my post in the first place. Was the offer from them, after a lot of public uproar, to opt out completely from being in their search database. If they were willing to comply with that then what is the point of providing a loophole that negates the very thing you chose to "opt out" from? Call me paranoid but the difference here is. I agreed to the terms of second life and their services when I signed up. I never agreed to some third party website deciding for me, what they can display about me.
  14. My intention was not to cause any type of witch hunt towards LL whatsoever. I was just a bit stunned that the website, after knowing that people were really bothered by the original avatar button on there, went another route to make sure info - even some, was still attainable directly through them. If the main goal is to help people connect by seeing where avi's are gathered, which is what they have said is the purpose of why they collect info and travel the grid in the first place. Then why so much effort to make sure that specific portion remains, in another form. I guess personally, it kind of felt like .. "Ok well if we can't display it this way, then let's display it that way". Not to put words into anyone's mouth here but that is how it comes across. Why even bother to opt out if it's all out there regardless. Anyhoo that is my ramble lol sorry folks.
  15. I opted out days ago. And when I checked it on that website, it was not showing up. I am more referring to the new link/option to search. I appreciate the comment though
  16. I am not posting this to ruffle any feathers. But I am genuinely wondering how this is any different from what they were doing before, in regards to their website having an avatar search option. I posted this comment/reply to a "sl update" youtube video that came out earlier about the other website having removed the "search for avatar" option. "They've now directly linked the second life search page to their website. And you do not need to log in with your account to use it and do a search. I tested it on my own avatar name after logging completely out of the page. So even if you opted out via the IM option. They have still made it possible for non sl residents to search and find your profile without needing an account of their own. Essentially, nothing has changed. " For some context here. When you go to secondlife.com you have zero access to the search page if you do not log in.Nothing on the login page even suggests there is a search option available. But by going to the other website, you have a direct loophole to still access all the same info, minus your payment info status. Again, I am truly not here to relight any fires. But I am failing to understand why they are so dead set on making sure avatar info is accessible outside of the realm of the second life website.
  17. Yes! But you had to go and collect it at a "touch" sign. ♥ Whoops! I didn't realize this had already been answered.
  18. It's here and it opened last October on the 18th and ran until November 1st. Have not heard anything about it coming back yet, though.
  19. A time frame request seems totally reasonable
  20. It's really a bit of a two sided coin. I do agree that ideally, having the houses ready before offering the package would have certainly been the better way to go. When you purchase something, you expect to have it in your hands, so to speak and understandably so. But also, the people that upgraded specifically FOR the higher tier/Linden homes, knew they were not going to be available for some time, yet they still opted to upgrade anyway and wait it out. The Lindens were clear that those homes would not be available for months. I am not sure one can walk into a situation, with their eyes wide open, aware of all of the information and then suggest dilly dallying as the problem.
  21. I see what you are saying But those sign up boards are run by the Moles themselves. So I would imagine if they saw an entire calendar month booked by one person, they would deal with that. You also need their permission to set a stream and use the radios, by getting an invitation to a particular Mole run group, in order to even access the radios. So, somewhere in there .. if it was a griefer issue, I feel very confident that it would be resolved quickly
  22. Not sure if you noticed the photo's above. But there is a set up at one of the public spaces where Belli residents can do just that. Book a party or event. We also have the fairgrounds but that is a different process in the sense that you fill out an application and if approved, you do get rez rights to build whatever you want within the TOS of Bellisseria. As for the smaller spaces like the community centers, those are already decorated and there is no need for extra prims to be added. But the Moles have kindly put in dance machines and radios to add streams. It's just a matter of going and signing up to book said spaces. As for a temporary stream, that would mean LL would need to pay for those. The DJ's in Belli provide their own streams for anything they do here, as it should be. In regards to only being able to do an event if there is a certain amount of people coming to attend. I simply do not see how that could work. As one can never predict how many will be there. I have seen parties with 5 people showing up and it's been a great time with wonderful conversation. And I have seen parties with so many people, they filled the region (Fairgrounds). But considering you book the event before it happens .. having an attendance cap, just would not really work. In my 14 plus years of managing clubs, DJ teams and doing public events, I have never seen a decision made based on how many might attend something. Hope this helps clear things up
