I've been roaming around Second Life for around a year, I've lost friends, gathered new ones and I tend to keep myself logged on from the moment I get home until I go to sleep. I'm a furry and a human time in and time out, it just depends how I'm feeling that day, I'd prefer to find some friends I can actually create conversations with beyond the scene of the club, which is harder to do now than it used to be, or at least it seems that way for me. Howdy Person n_n The name is Krash, I've been DJing for the past year in Second Life, at a rather alarming rate. I've owned my own clubs, managed clubs for others and simply been a perm slot DJ for a handful more. When asked what makes me "special" as a Second Life DJ, well - I always show up, I'm a goofball while I'm on air, and I'm usually more active in chat than my hosts because I love to interact with the patrons. I am currently looking at filling my DJ schedule a bit more so I'm interested in contacting the clubs I may not have come across in my travels just yet. A few things about me - I do not voice over during my sets, and I won't. - I often switch between furry avatars and human. I enjoy being around all kinds of people - I will do one time events (not just interested in working for JUST clubs, I will gladly look at doing events for clubs that don't generally have DJs) - I normally play Bounce & Bass, although I do love playing top chart music and going throwback as well. - I am +1 to SLT, I am normally on 5-10PM on weekdays, and it varies on weekends, but usually the same times If you wish to contact me, hit me in world at krash1989. Hi, I'm still relatively new to SL so I'm not sure if there has been something in an update or what have you that could have changed in the past few days, because of this past Tuesday, everything had been working fine. I DJ for a few clubs, and usually my computer could run Skype/Virtual DJ/Firestorm/Youtube/Converter/Telegram and all that without Firestorm ever losing an inch of speed, or crashing more than once in a blue moon. It was running on what would be the "Medium" graphic level on the preferences, with draw distance @ ~130. Last night ESPECIALLY went poorly but it has happened ever since Wednesday where I'd open something like youtube and firestorm would just crash immediately without me even tabbing back into the game. I tried changing all the graphics option to as low as possible, and it would still crash in high populaton areas (which is a problem for a DJ...) I use windows 10 as well. I didn't have time to tinker more with anything last night, and I'm currently wasting time @ work. Does anyone have any tips or possible solutions to fix this issue? I sincerely doubt it's my computer, but that could be a possibility. I have cleared the cache multiple times, even when running just Virtual DJ & Firestorm, I still had crashes even when I was zoomed into one item in a club, not doing anything inside the sim, just trying to stay alive. Sorry if it's lacklustre in details for those who are trying to help - if I was home right now I'd give you all the details I possibly could. Any help, any suggestions at all - would be great. I have to say if you guys are looking to be friends with some really great people, IM the original poster, i've only met a select few of people in that household and they are really nice people ^-^!

Hey Guys, I figured I'd "Ask The Community" about something that interests me during my daily experience on Second Life. I know that there is a plethora of DJs out there on Second Life that refuse, or love to speak over the mic during their sets, some people believe it adds some human element to their mixing so you know it's really them, some people however think some DJs don't sound so great - or that they drag on when they talk, so it ruins the "vibe" so to speak. I personally understand both sides to the argument while some DJs prefer to just mix, while some like the idea of interacting with their fans on a voice level. I personally prefer to let the music keep going, and interact with the fans while I DJ via local chat. What do you guys prefer to hear if you venture into a club? And a little side question - do you care if the DJ is secluded in his little DJ booth, or would you rather see them on the dance floor with everyone else?

I wouldn't mind being your brother ^-^. I do have a furry alter ego but, it would definitely be neat to have a family style bond with someone, that's been something I've been seeking for a little while now. - I'll be your long lost Canadian brother

HAI. xD I've been part of the Second Life community for approximately 70-75 days, and I've done quite a lot as far as involving myself in the communities that I partake in yet i find it hard to make friends that are actively logging onto SL. Thus far into my SL endeavours : I've learned to, and got quite good at DJing, I currently have 3-4 shifts a week DJing at different clubs, I tried to partake in a family style RP - being an "adult child" of a family but that didnt' take off anywhere due to it being rather difficult finding people that were interested in such. I enjoy spending time at clubs or simply floating around, I've got both a furry avatar and a human avatar, as I do wander around with both, although I'm predominantly furry. I'm interested in getting friends in all aspects of the game whether you're experienced or not. [11] Why do you enjoy DJing : I enjoy DJing because, well - I feel my music brings joy to people. I have been doing this for a short period of time, yet every time I hear that my music brings joy to someone, it makes me smile ear to ear. The joy, is much more enjoyable then any amount of L$ [12] Do you as a DJ have an advantage : Although I think a few DJs could attest to this, I believe it gives me an edge due to the fact that I know it to be true. I hate being, anything but perfect at something. Right now, I use VDJ without a deck, I use manual mixing and I’m trying to get better at it every day. I constantly try to evolve what I’m doing because I feel like sitting at where I’m at is very lazy. You’ll always know I’m putting my best foot forward every-time I come on as a DJ. [13] Club Experience [Past/Current] Club: The Arkadium Position: DJ Reason for why you left: The owner actually was intending on shutting down the club, and then handed over management to someone in the club that I wasn't able to see eye to eye with, so we went seperate ways. Club: The Escape Position: DJ Reason for why you left: I was unfortunately forced to shut the club down due to the expense and the amount of shifts I ended up DJing. I was forced to cover every missed shift by our DJs just so the club would continue to stay upright, the cost and stress levels were just too much to handle Club: Dark Hive Position: DJ Info : I’m still currently employed there, although their DJ lineup is so large that getting shifts in on a regular time for myself that doesn’t include crossing into the next morning is hard, the management there is great, as are the club patron. Club : BabyGirls Position : DJ Info : I just started working there and enjoyed it rather much. Although the shifts arent' going to be a big burden, the people there are rather interesting ^-^, so I'll be surely going there at least once a week.

Hey, I have been a part of the second life community for probably about 2 1/2 weeks, I find myself spending more time in clubs than anything else and I would like to meet some friends who enjoy the same kind of environment,. The Escape, while we're gaining momentum still needs DJ's to play! I'm relatively new to Second Life, I've been a part of the game for about 11 days now, and while I do keep myself rather occupied at a few clubs, like Furry Fashion or the Dark Hive, I'm looking to have a few more friends in my contact list.I feel like it'd be a good thing to share my interests on here, so you could perhaps figure out if we'd be decent friends (at least do stuff together) - I am a furry, although you being one is NOT a necessity, some stuff obviously wouldn't interest you if you weren't a furry but, that's okay! :) - I am an aspiring DJ. I have actually applied to two clubs already and feel like one is a for-sure thing. I often host little private parties at a open stage located at one of the clubs I go to. I like playing dubstep/house/electronic music more than anything else. - AND whether or not it particularily matters to you or not, I am gay as well, and proud of it. My avatar is a cute black wolf with red and white in his hair, and a variety of outfits.
