  1. That is a very good point, but by task 4, I found my determination turned into bitter resentment. My first attempt at task 3 was tricky enough, toxic water, a giant bouncing boulder, but also attempting the task at that time was a ‘Donald Trump’ looking avi in just swimming trunks. Yes, I know I should have run for my life, but I’d just got back from the desert of task 2 and was in resentful mood. After watching the giant bouncing boulder, sorry, Donald falling into the toxic water again and again cheered me up so much, I finally jumped like my life depended on it and off I went to try out task 4.
  2. If I could earn crystals for every time I fall into the toxic water...I'd be linden rich. Keep it up, perseverance pays off, you'll do it x
  3. A few gems for you that still have standard sizes.......Amiable, Mooh!, Baby Monkey's, The Secret Store, Lapoint & Bastchild, Hudson's, Mimikri, Pixicat, !gO! and Snowpaws.
  4. Hi Nyapasu, I use MyDear skins, the best I found for classic....which is becoming rare (unique!). There is an inworld store and here's the link for the marketplace: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/80485
  5. I thought I would give the new linden realms a whirl, as I had been playing in the old realms for a few years, made some lindens for my forever-expanding wardrobe and thoroughly enjoyed playing, except for the constant cheaters and campers, never understood their mentality at all. Anyway, at first, I thought I was never going to complete one quest, let alone four! Well, practice makes perfect and once I got the hang of it, there was no stopping me, I was like a women possessed, whilst chuckling to myself when being caught by the rock monsters, which by the way, we spend so much time together now, we’re on first name terms. I am running around aimlessly heading for certain places only to find myself exactly where I just started from, but then, in RL I’m a bit like that. In the desert, those whirly sand dunes that send me into a spin got me a tad annoyed…my cat and kitten now think their names are, ‘Oh for the love of god’ and ‘You have got to be kidding me’. I have since repeated the quests and if I can do them…anyone can! So far, I think it’s great fun, I bump into others, others bump into me, we apologise, it’s all so civilised. I’ve seen a few bits and pieces from the old realms, yesterday, whilst exploring after one of the quests, I saw part of the old ‘Whisper Hollow’ sign…. Just think, once we all get to know the layout off by heart, the quests will be too easy. It’s new and some don’t like change, familiar is comfortable, but in a few weeks, people will wonder what they were moaning about and maybe the cheaters still won’t have figured out how they can make their little lives easier by being lazy and dull. If they put the same enthusiasm into the game as they do looking for ways to cheat, they might enjoy it.
  6. Thank you for your help Devriv, I didn't really want to buy a gaming pc. I only dabble in SL, run around a bit and shop 'til I drop, I manage fine now with my 5 year old Dell laptop, but as I thought I'd upgrade and go for an all-in-one I wanted to make sure I can at least get onto SL. I don't know much about graphics etc, it all confuses my poor little non-IT brain. I really appreciate your expert opinion and thank you to Alwin too.
  7. Please could anyone let me know if either of these pc's would run SL....Thank you in advance. http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/desktop-pcs/desktop-pcs/hp-pavilion-22-3169na-21-5-touchscreen-all-in-one-pc-10138556-pdt.html#srcid=11026 http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/desktop-pcs/desktop-pcs/lenovo-c40-21-5-touchscreen-all-in-one-pc-10137907-pdt.html
  8. Just wanted to say thank you so much to 'Friscolives' for writing a reply that actually made sense to me. After 2 weeks of researching for a desktop pc or laptop to buy, I'm none the wiser. I just want to get onto SL, run around a bit and shop 'til I drop, as I have done for the last 4 years using a shop bought Dell laptop, with no problems whatsoever. I bought the laptop before discovering SL. Pretty much everywhere I've looked, the overall opinion seems to be that laptops cannot cope with SL at all. I've looked at the SL system requirements, but it seems out of date, which doesn't help. I realise that most people on here really know their stuff and I congratulate you for knowing your dual from your quads, but I'm sure, many, like me, don't know where to start. Now, I'd like a new pc, a desktop I think, but still haven't a clue what to get. Each time I decide on AMD, I read that Intel is better, then vice versa, as for graphic cards....well, I give up on that. I've even started dreaming of pc's now and waking up in a cold sweat. I was just so pleased to hear that someone else could also run SL on a shop bought Laptop, HP, i3 chip, running Intel 3000 graphics.....my non-IT brain managed to understand that perfectly.
