  1. LOL, just hit the check box to restrict sounds to your parcel................. and go for it!
  2. I did use a pallet Reference Image but I may have gotten the sides wrong after looking at yours. I did not use original images for the pallet texture, though I did for the pillows. Thanks for your feed back. I love what you did with yours.
  3. The classes are offered 4 times a week at different times to cover the wold. You only need to attend 1 each week. It's not on voice, Graham releases 3 to 4 videos links each week. You watch there and ask questions in chat then rewatch and do thru the week. Each week has a homework assignment.
  4. Blender Benders is an Inworld Group. Graham Dartmouth teaches free Blender 2.8 as it relates Specifically to Second Life. Just join the group and watch for the next Blue Class to start. If you want to pay for more structured classes or just get a head start Udemy offers a slew of Blender 2.8 courses usually for no more then 11.99 and as little as 9 for a class. If you catch one of those sales load up, there is no time limit on them and you never loose them.
  5. WoooHooo my First Chair for the yard, totally done in Blender. From Blender Bender Class Blue Week 5 taught by Graham.
  6. Ok, I am just a beginner so be Gentle please but.....................my first Totally Blender Chair!!! WooHoooooo!
  7. Well, I'm going to post as much outdoor as in since the biggest campers are pretty tight.Maybe we can build some screened in or some such, but I'm starting with Gazebos. The following is 12 and 6 respectively. 12 LI might be a bit much for a 512 but it's a beautiful piece.
  8. Sorry Hon, I misunderstood. You do seem like a life long learner. Here's hoping you find something that inspires you again.
  9. Yes it is and yes it does. And it has animations in it too. 😁
  10. Awesome Sun Pillows for the yard and at 2 LI each, they won't break the prim bank! LOL
  11. My First Baked on Textured pieces. Pillows made then textured.
  12. You need to take some classes hon. If you don't want to pay for them, Blender Benders offers a very full set of classes for free. Check them out, join the group and Join in the class next time they offer beginner classes
  13. Linking an entire build in sl before taking it into blender is not a good idea, it Confuses Blender and the App has no way of knowing which parts need to be solid and which need to be phantom. Yeah, lol I know from experience. Better to build & link, save, export to blender and join and clean up in pieces. Then export and upload to SL and put together inworld. Just remember anything you need to walk thru can not be joined in blender and everything that must be sat on, walked on or lived in must be uploaded as a physical object. The higher the physical setting the better the piece holds up inworld but the heavier the LI.
  14. Oh hell ladies, Second Life has a native mesh creator. You access from the pie menu. R Click, More, More, Save As, Collada.
  15. "While I still struggle with Blender 2.8 I can build far quicker in SL, and can usually see and edit results in real time. Honestly I prefer it this way. If only there was a way for SL to bake shadows or materials then I'd probably never worry about Blender to be honest. I can't see that ever happening so the struggle continues. But there's definitely something extremely satisfying (and liberating) about having an idea in mind and then snapping some prims together and meshing it into a product that you can use relatively inexpensively; often far less costly than buying something they you need to edit anyway. It's awesome to not have to rely on others to create your vision for you! I'd recommend everyone learn the basics at least. It's addictive, and best of all building is actually (usually) fun! " You do know you can save pieces as you build in SL, as Dae Files, and Import them into Blender. Walls can by joined and brought back in as physical if you do not need to walk thru them. Any walls with Doors cannot be joined but can still be optimized in Blender to reduce LI when you bring them back in. To walk thru them, or any build, you must still bring them in as physical.
  16. You know there are ways of optimizing an item in Blender to reduce prim count. There are classes being taught in Second Life that teach Blender as it relates to SL. I am taking them now. You might want to add them to the ones you are taking from Udmey, once they start again. Heck, you might want to check into them now.
  17. This is a place for new mesh designers to add pictures of their finished projects. It does Not matter if all or part was done in Blender and it does not matter if Blender or another Mesh application was used. This is a place to learn and teach.
  18. Hon, I really think we are harder on ourselves. We see mistakes where other people see good builds.
  19. I have rediscovered my love of building doing all these Extensions & Additions, and I love these posts and all the amazing ideas I love looking at, so I put them all together to create something just for me. I intend to add animations to the tub, pool , vanity and kitchen set. Then I'll be finished. This is everything I love in a home and everything I love about building. This build is all mesh and all mine _but not the weeds, lol). I've really feeling comfortable handling Blender and eager to learn more.
  20. Hi, If you want to fill it, go to prim possible and grab a couple rooms. A whole room of furniture for 1 prim and they are changeable
  21. LOL, I feel your pain, I've been working on a complex build from Blender and I was having real issues with phantom walls and floors. I think trying to keep LI down causes it's own issues
  22. I figure I need about 5 to rez out most packages that still open the old way. Beside that, I use every prim available.
  23. This is my Second Expansion for the Alderly. This one is also a 2 story version. Including the original expanded divisions, I have 2 bedrooms, 2 Baths, a Balcony, a Kitchen, a large living area with a fireplace and working curtains. It comes in at 74 LI. Not bad for double the living space. It also leaves more yard to play with. Photo spam ahead, lol
  24. These are the Images from the Original Part of the Winchester I promised you all. All of this comes in at 101 LI but 90 if you don't use the Rose Pergola
