The easiest thing to do would be to just turn off the things in groups that are a strain on the system unless the group creator pays a weekly fee for it. Most of the groups don't need to see who is online all the time or have live chat. A small fee of just 30 lindens a week, same fee if you want to be in search with your place, will have a huge overall effect I think. All I want for my groups is them showing up in peoples profiles, send out notices or let people rez stuff on my land.

So. little update: Been asking some people that know more about this. Because they call them self an investment company and claim the interest rate is an "investment fee" they are not breaking any tos rules. Its all in the wording apparently. The good news: The only info that was given is a name (that was not even checked by asking for an ID) and that name is so common, good luck finding him real life among the hundreds of others with that name. I also showed the contract to a legal expert, it will not hold up in court. She will be offered the money she lent out back, and if she knows what's good for her she takes it, or she risks losing it all. My bedtime now, thanks to everyone for the answers.

A friend of mine got in trouble because he loaned money inworld for a whopping interest rate of over 60%.... All to be paid within 30 days. I told him this is forbidden by linden rules (please correct me if I'm wrong) They have in their business name that they are not a bank, I assume in an effort to get away with it. But I think, when you do banking stuff, you basically a bank, even if you claim to be an investment company. What is the best way to deal with this?

I think in the past we could just type "Dog -gacha" and you got just dogs that were not gacha. That way you could filter lots of stuff, not just gacha. It does not seem to work like that anymore sadly, so now we are buried under lots of stuff you're not looking for. Personally, I would like to see it back, it made browsing in the shop a lot easier.

Could you make building mesh inside sl possible? There are already ways to turn prims in to mesh available on mp. Even lindenlab buying that system and making it available for all would be nice. (I already have it, so not asking that for myself) But something a bit more flexible would be awesome.

Yes, found now how it works already after the help I got here earlier from Callum and Innula, it's actually very simple. Was surprised how easy the fix was, very happy with it. Problem is, of course, its often objects you can't mod yourself, but that can't be helped then.

First of all, I want to compliment the lindens on how they do their complicated jobs. You all do amazing work and I really looking forward to the improvements that are in the pipeline. My question: Secondlife does not handle transparent on transparent very well. It flickers, the transparent that is in the back sometimes goes through the one in the front, flex hair in front of linden water can disapear, stuff like that. Is it possible Lindenlab can ever stop that from happening? Or is that technical simply not possible?

With Second Live moving to the cloud, can we expect you will make the waters of the grid on demand, so we can sail from sim to sim? Or maybe even put up trees on abandoned land, that only pop up when someone enters that sim?

I can't edit my post anymore, but I hope that when I say "So an honest nonevasive answer from Ebbe on the state of our grandfather would be nice. " it's clear that I don't mean to even suggest that normally his answers are anything else than honest. Also, I understand that when someone talks about future things it's often needed to be evasive because nothing is set in stone yet.

How is our grandfather doing, and if he dies, are we all invited to his funeral? Last price drop Linden said "Also, these changes will not impact any grandfathered or “bought down” land prices since those are still below the newly-reduced rates." The word "still" in that sentence seems to imply that next price drop the advantage of having grandfather land may disappear. If one would buy grandfather land from someone now (most ask 600 dollars for it), and have linden transfer it to you for another whopping 600 dollars, it will take 2 years before you make it back. So an honest nonevasive answer from Ebbe on the state of our grandfather would be nice. By the way, I also think that 2 years 100 dollar a month profit from a 600 dollar investment is not that bad, and its still 50 a month now.

Hello, So I’m obviously a newbie, started this morning For some reason I can’t get my avatar to wear the clothes I bought for her. I’ve been trying it all day, but I haven't got a step further.
