  1. Not sure why it was removed, look like OZ deleted it from the listing on August 7th. I have used Lumiya since then, so at least the app is still functioning. Until there's something public stated about it ( I cannot find any fine details ), It might be a good idea to stay away from it. Even the the wiki suggests : "Beware of third-party viewers that are not in the Viewer Directory: they have either declined to self-certify their compliance with Linden Lab policies or been refused for noncompliance with the policies." , so we can only assume something must have happened with Lumiya where it no longer qualifies to be listed. You can read through the Policy on Third-Party Viewers to get a better idea of what the criteria is.
  2. All sounds reasonable to me! I think I have ran into a total of 3 residents playing at the same time as me, I was beginning to think I was the only one left! Now that it's only 1 blue to enter you can really rack up the gems quickly....I've gotten myself a canon and about 30 blues right now, so I have also begun to ask myself the "Why am i doing this?" question lol.... Part of me hopes sometime they will update the game with some more features or high-tier gameplay, but I kinda know that is never going to happen I guess it's just me grinding away now to see if i can break this HUD or ascend to some strange glytch-heaven at the big 100! Let you know if I make it there ^__^
  3. EVERYTHING MUST GO!!! Gotta sell these puppies Come snag em while they are ripe a rare deal 500 EACH REGARDLESS OF SIZE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE!! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Wyrd/112/111/83
  4. Hmm so I posted a reply to another post of yours, Parx, nearly like 4 days ago asking for some more information... you'd think scoring a new recruit might be more important than feeding the trolls? Just sayin hehe
  5. FINALLY got dropped onto the tip-top of the central Chandelier!! I literally cheered out-loud when it happened lol. So it's safe to assume not many folks have been to the Rusty Cauldron, my next question would be, has anyone reached 100 Blue Gems yet? I am curious what that triggers of course....
  6. First question, how far back is a while back?! Why did you not contact the seller immediately after you purchased the item and it was not delivered? There have been instances where folks setup accounts to sell "false" goods on marketplace, then ditch the account before people even wise up to the scam. The best thing to do when shopping MP is keep an eye on reviews. If the seller is actually creating the items, not just re-selling gatcha items, they are going to take pride in their marketplace store. If I see someone selling things for as expensive as 500 Lindens and they have no reviews on any of their products, it's a red flag for me. Also, look at the sellers profile in SL. Do they link to their store and offer support via their profile? Chances are they are safe to purchase from. All in all it seems like this situation might have been avoidable if you did a little research. I will repeat my suggestion that you should have messaged the creator as soon as your item was not delivered after purchasing from Marketplace.
  7. ACTION Makes one that is surprisingly beautiful for the price. I tossed my old one after I picked this one up
  8. Here's a suggestion: Use Groups Nowadays Groups seem to be a much more popular way of organizing and getting together with like-minded people, no matter what the interest is. It is costly to operate a sim themed for a specific location, and even more difficult to keep that sim populated by people from said geographic area. If you create a GROUP, something like "Georgia Residents" or something similar, people can join and utilize chat and notifications to meetup or chat! Plus, a group does not exist on a single sim, it stretches over the entire grid, making it infinitely easier to organize. There might even be a Georgia, or Southern USA Residents group that is already created!!
  9. I have 3 smaller parcels for Sale on central Sartori, along route 8B in the sim WYRD 2 parcels are roadside, one right behind, all together forming a large triangle. I have the sale prices through the roof right now, as I will consider selling at an insanely reasonable price to folks interested in getting all 3 parcels at once. I also want to encourage good use of these parcels, it is a beautiful stretch of land with a nice park down the road, and several kind neighbors, so thoughtful residents will get priority http://slurl.com/secondlife/Wyrd/152/108 - 1632 square meters - Roadside http://slurl.com/secondlife/Wyrd/104/82 - 624 square meters - Roadside http://slurl.com/secondlife/Wyrd/104/112 - 1024 square meters
  10. Has anyone who's been playing Glyches been to the Rusty Cauldron yet? I am absolutely dumbfounded how to get the gems on the TOP rings of the chandeliers! I have managed to figure out how to navigate just about anywhere in the room except the top rings on each of the 4 chandeliers. On 2 occasions I used the small teleporter gateways and got spit-out very high in the air, but it was not close enough or accurate enough to land me anywhere near the top rings!! And ideas folks?? With the re-rezz rates for gems inside the Bonus Level it's not a huge deal, by the time I collect the blues from one side of the map they are already re-rezzing on the opposite end, but I am still super curious how in the heck it's possible to get up there!
  11. I know for a fact that Nicecast has a build in Effects rack with things like EQ and Gain. You can also try Voice Meeter Banana from VB-Audio, which has effects and also has tools for mixing several channels together like Instrumentals and Vocals.
  12. I personally don't see the benefit of a "Combat" specific category on this forum. If it operates like a game, it belongs in games. PVP or PVE, does not matter, if you are gaming you are gaming. Put it under Games and call it a day. You're not on the sim to Roleplay or Shop, you are there to participate in a First Person Shooter Game. Correct me if I am wrong. The only thing that would make PVP less of a game is if there was Roleplay, which you state repeatedly is not the goal of these combat communities. You also mention distinct differences between PVE "Zombie" shooting games inworld and your PVP community, who would make these moderating decisions within such a sub-thread?! What are the qualifications for getting in said COMBAT category if something like Player Vs. Computer Zombie Shooting is not considered "Combat"? Seems like it would lead to even MORE confusion and tangled-lines than you are currently experiencing. Besides, at the end of the day, if there was such a specific COMBAT subforum, it would likely be filled up exclusively by content from your existing members. Would it really bring in more people? Would people even bother clicking into the Sub-Forum and reading topics if they are not familiar with it? It could very well just turn into a circle-jerk for people already inducted into the community. In my opinion it would certainly generate more views and traffic if it were under a more broad category..... which seems to be the goal, recruiting more people to join?? Also an aside...If I were running a community and wanted to get more people interested and involved, I would let them RP all they f*ing wanted lol If someone wants to come onto the sim all gung-ho screaming SIR YES SIR good for them, let them play how they want to play as long as they aren't holding back the team. I even know people who lightly RP in games like Planetside 2 where it's def not the norm, but heck, some folks really get into the voice chat!!! It seems like a silly thing to be strict about, I know lots of people who casually "Roleplay" within conversations throwing a /me here and there. Unless they have come to specifically paragraph roleplay, in which case a few minutes on a sim mid-combat should show them that it's not that type of sim. Heck, for all I know there could be a ton of RPers who would LOVE your communities and sims, but they are barred from entry because of your limitations or attitudes. Perhaps that is something you are against, having a flood of such residents take over your sims, but in that case you should not be posting in the Forum to begin with because ANYONE can read and show up for any reason they want...
  13. That actually sounds like a pretty amazing experiment! A year or two ago I attempted a sort of communal living situation with the same goal, but it didn't end up panning out as anticipated.
  14. I definitely prefer living in a Themed community, if only for consistent visuals around me. I absolutely adore the mainland and the bizarreness that it breeds, but there is just something nice about stepping outside your home/apartment into an actual community with streets and clear planning. I also like living in close proximity to other residents, even if we are not necessarily friends or even see eachother much, it's more about creating something creative together like a neighborhood.
  15. If you're interested in performing live over your stream, it will likely require a hardware investment. What you will need is a setup in your home for recording and broadcasting your material. If you don't want it to sound like bad karaoke, that will require at the very least a nice microphone and pair of headphones. Next you will need to sort out broadcasting. There is a chance you use streaming software that has built in effects, EQ and controls, but if not you will need to broadcast a signal from a Digital Audio Workstation or DAW. This will enable you to add things like effects and EQ to your signal, making your performance sound more natural and less like someone sitting in their bedroom with a computer microphone. You will also be able to adjust the volume levels within the DAW for both the instrumental music and your live vocals, which is incredibly important if you want you're listeners to have a good experience. I would recommend doing some research online seeing what other people have setup for things like home recording and podcasting, which require a very similar setup. There's always a quick and easy solution, but if you really want your performance to have an impact, you will need to invest some time and money into your setup. Best luck!!!
  16. I've been having a good deal of fun playing GLYTCHES actually. Not the best thing in the world, but certainly fun for killing a half hour here and there. My biggest concern is the games longevity. It seem's like it is simply not designed for long-term gameplay. As you have mentioned in earlier posts, you can quickly end up with a copy of every single Glytch including Rares and Epics, so there isn't much of a "Collecting" or "Trading" community developing like is seen around breedables and other collectable thingies. Also, there just does not seem to be tiers to the experience. Sure, there's a few weapons you can upgrade through, and the Bonus-Levels are a nice addition, but for people who want games with a little more meat to them Glytches simply seems barren! Let me fight my Glytches with other residents! Re-color some Glytch skins to create more variety! Give me SOMETHING to do with all these copy Glytches I catch (i'd recommend replacing the gem lotto with Glytch cash-in, because honestly who is trading in their gems for that swag lol)!!! I know this is a bit of a rant, but just because you want a game to be approachable does not mean it has to be basic AF. They could have easily developed some sort of metagame, a little depth could go a LONG way in building a community of dedicated players. Anyway, end rant X-) I hope they do some more work on this game because it would be a shame for it to fizzle out so soon. Hope to see some of you folks out there.
  17. Where are the posts originally posted? I don't think they should be moved if posted under, say, "Games" category, but it does depend. You bring up good points about RP not being the correct category for many of these sims/projects, however I am not sure there is enough activity on the forum to justify a whole "Combat" subforum. Couldn't most of these fit in the Games category? Correct me if I am wrong, but most of these combat sims would involve some sort of game-like system, so it seems reasonable. Again, if the posts are being moved FROM the games category into Roleplay when they are NOT roleplay sims, that is indeed a problem..... Regardless, thanks for posting, some of these seem quite cool and I was totally unaware of them existing! Cheers.
  18. The cover is nice, I do think a slightly greener hue might suggest "War" a bit more, if that's what you're going for. Still, if you're talking about eye-catching, the contrast is pretty appealing as it is.
  19. Its not a problem with the Grid being online or not, its people logging in from being offline.....
  20. Yup, same situation, also noticed Grid Status shows Degraded Performance on Logins *sigh*
  21. Driving not necessary at all I shall send you a message inworld!
  22. Are you asking about how to Paint? First step, log out of Second Life and take a class IRL. If you are not already creating art with a unique voice, no one is going to care about what you do. You have to create pieces that make an impact, or carry weight under your style alone. If you don't know how to do this outside of Second Life, you won't have a chance in hell inworld... You are NOT going to sell any art unless A.) You already have a group of friends or a clique that will support all your ventures, B.) You have managed to infiltrate the tight knit art scene, and somehow you are drumming up interest around your personal projects using one-on-one networking and notifications, or C.) You are creating Artwork that is simply too beautiful and impressive for anyone to NOT pay attention to. Unfortunately that is how it goes. Not to say you cannot have a ton of fun both learning how to paint and showing off you artwork inworld. Just don't expect to make a single dollar profit (as a matter of fact, you will most likely be in the red, if you find yourself uploading many works or renting gallery space.) If you're only looking to make money, I suggest creating mesh versions of your artwork and selling them as decorations in Gachas or on Marketplace. You will have to sell them for a lot cheaper than you would full canvas pieces, but you will open your market up to a lot of people who just want to decorate, not necessarily collect art. Just go explore galleries in second life. Use this tool. Find out what other residents are doing and see how you might fit in. Good luck.
  23. I do miss this project! I remember landing on it and seeing it was a on a LEA sim, and I immediately wept for its impermanence </3 A SL history museum would be incredible. I know there is a History of Second Life pavilion somewhere on Sansara if my memory serves me correctly, but it does not have an extensive collection on display. A few very amusing photographs from early days showing of primitars and the beta shenanigans. I certainly wish something more extensive and permanent existed...
