The first Saturday of each month, I will be hosting field trips and everyone is invited! What exactly does that mean, you ask? Well, on a very basic level, we will be getting together in a group and touring Sims of a certain style or theme! But it is much more than that..... Each Field-Trip offers a plethora of opportunities for both the participants and sim-owners. Each trip is planned with care and guided by myself and provided tour-notecards; points of interest including photogenic locations, shopping, distinct builds and generally interesting places! We travel at a leisurely pace, so there is plenty of time to soak in the sights no matter where we go! It is also part of my larger effort to shine light on lesser know/experienced sims, to provide a brief traffic boost and help the owners out! Some of you may be familiar with the idea of a "Money Bomb" or "Flash Mobs", and I am hoping these trips will be an extension of that concept. There is no fee to join our Field-Trips, but I encourage all participants to bring some spending L$, either for shopping or to donate!! Come along and join me, mparrault!! :robotvery-happy: I explore a few different ways, and tend to cater towards who I am with, or general topics. I do a lot of exploration both mainland and whole-grid, finding landmarks a few different ways. I tend to lean towards photogenic places, educational sims or multi-square large sims with uniqe themes. Regardless of how I explore, it's all about appreciating peoples creations within SL and finding new/interesting places to take pictures, shop or just hang out! Once a month I host group "Field Trips" from my cafe where we explore a specific Sim or Topic (for example, we might spend 2 hours walking around on foot exploring larger sims like Caledon, or hop around the grid looking at the best libraries or cafes!). I like to spend plenty of time researching these field trips, so often my exploration turns into research for my trips! At the end of the day, I just love finding new places, whether that means stumbling around the mainland, clicking randomly throughout the grid-map, or utilizing the Search Tool! I'd say I spend more than half my time inworld Exploring the grid, so it would be wonderful to have a crew of folks willing to do the same again :-D

Still not seeing financially how someone cannot take 3 hours a month to take down closed sims. Sorry Steph these statistics simply don't cut it. It's a quality control issue that can ONLY be overlooked because it's digital property. Imagine half the bags of chips in a vending machine were empty because the distributor did not check to see if the bags were even full. Not buying it, the empty chips, nor the empty financial explanantion.

Alright, it seems most of my good 'ol exploring buddies have fallen off the face of the grid, looking for some new adventerous souls to explore with! I am easy going and I love meeting new people! I love music and art, and when I'm not hanging out at my cafe I am off looking for awesome new things. I love shopping, victorian architecture, cute places, KITTENS, interactive sims and virtual education. I'd love to have a team of folks like back in the ol days! The number of landmarks in the destination guide could be visited and evaluated in less than one work day. I do not think it is selfish or lazy to think this job could easily be handled by an employee. Especially if the Destination Guide is maintained monthly or quarterly. I think it's hardly selfish to ask for proper curation from a legitimate company, a company that has more than enough money to build an ENTIRE NEW VIRTUAL WORLD PLATFORM could not possibly stress over paying an employee for a few hours of fat-trimming. It's clearly not a priority, but I also wasn't slinging mud or talking **bleep** on LL, these are just the way things are.

LL should review and update the extended Destination Guide whenever the Editors Picks and Special Event Areas are switched over !!! What is the point of having an "Editor" if someone won't even comb through the existing Landmarks and remove what is gone....
