  1. Had the same problem with the last 2 updates, gone back to the oldest working version and everything is fine.
  2. The last couple of FS updates have been more trouble than they're worth. Huds suddenly stopping working and large chunks of inventor going missing.
  3. Anything art related your best option is to join the focus group and visit their inworld site. FOCUS Art Gallery and Magazine www.artfocused.com, Holly Kai Estates (125, 125, 21) - Moderate
  4. Yes it did which is why I responded in kind (but forgot the smiley). The character in the quote you responded to is so old it's unlikely anyone either side of the pond under pension age would recognise him. (I had to look him up on wikipedia)
  5. Did it never occur to you that you may be on the wrong side of the pond?
  6. Then don't go there. Flickr and SL content are very much personal things, people put what they want to see. I do lots of selfies cos when I need a model my avi is there with the apropriate costume (or lack of) , and SL photography is something you learn by doing. I don't care if you find it boring, I don't come to SL or post on flickr to amuse you. clairea21 asked for positive tips to improve her photos, not a list of your personal likes and dislikes.
  7. Focus magazine is running a series of inworld classes to help photographers improve their skills http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Holly Kai Estates/136/123/22
  8. I don't let zukerberg and his spyware anywhere near my RL, certainly not going to let the creep invade my virtual life
  9. Quite right! I'm one of those annoying people that reads T&C and tos before I sign anything , either physicaly or electronicaly. I may not be able to quote it word for word, but I'm sure there was no mention of smartphones when I signed up, nor any mention of having to buy extra equipment to use the basic service. Of course people should exercise some care to protect themselves online. I've been using computers long enough and taken courses to know how to keep myself secure (probably more than most). One thing I've noticed reading tech journals, is as soon as something becomes industry standard the crackers start targetting it. My knowledge of smartphone tech is limited, but I'm not convinced they are as secure as my PC. Just came across this article and it doesn't make me want to trust them. https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-58652249
  10. Looking at your responses to other posts I think I've been in there for quite a while
  11. And just who gave "industry" the right to control how we do things? I don't recall seeing Industry on any ballot papers. I'm pretty sure Tim Berners-Lee didn't have the profits of mobile phone companies in mind when he created the web. The way forward is not compliance with what industry wants, we've seen what sort of idiots we end up with in politics going down that road, the way forward is revolution, Greta Thunberg showed us that.
  12. FFS it's irritating enough having to sign in twice just to respond to anything on these forums, Now they want us to start farting around with phones? Claiming somethin is "industry standard " is microsoft speak for we can't be bothered fixing the bugs.
  13. Second hand bicyle from blackburns. goes slow enough for me to control it without crashing and I get to see the scenery
  14. Means the smartest people just read normally and don't waste time trying to interpret what pretentious idiots put on their profiles in an attempt to look less sad than they are.
