  1. Quite right! I'm one of those annoying people that reads T&C and tos before I sign anything , either physicaly or electronicaly. I may not be able to quote it word for word, but I'm sure there was no mention of smartphones when I signed up, nor any mention of having to buy extra equipment to use the basic service. Of course people should exercise some care to protect themselves online. I've been using computers long enough and taken courses to know how to keep myself secure (probably more than most). One thing I've noticed reading tech journals, is as soon as something becomes industry standard the crackers start targetting it. My knowledge of smartphone tech is limited, but I'm not convinced they are as secure as my PC. Just came across this article and it doesn't make me want to trust them. https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-58652249
  2. Looking at your responses to other posts I think I've been in there for quite a while
  3. And just who gave "industry" the right to control how we do things? I don't recall seeing Industry on any ballot papers. I'm pretty sure Tim Berners-Lee didn't have the profits of mobile phone companies in mind when he created the web. The way forward is not compliance with what industry wants, we've seen what sort of idiots we end up with in politics going down that road, the way forward is revolution, Greta Thunberg showed us that.
  4. FFS it's irritating enough having to sign in twice just to respond to anything on these forums, Now they want us to start farting around with phones? Claiming somethin is "industry standard " is microsoft speak for we can't be bothered fixing the bugs.
  5. Second hand bicyle from blackburns. goes slow enough for me to control it without crashing and I get to see the scenery
  6. Means the smartest people just read normally and don't waste time trying to interpret what pretentious idiots put on their profiles in an attempt to look less sad than they are.

  10. If you just want to do poses of yourself then black dragon viewers built in poser is the best by far.

  13. Well I've learned something reading it so yes, you have made a point. :)
  14. Then do it. You're obviously not out to hurt anyone and your rl is no ones business. There is a DJ I suspect may not be a real elf, but she does do great sets. There's a Dragon I have doubts about too, but he made a great viewer for photography. Both enhance my experience of SL so I'm not going to complain. There are thousands of furries, demons, lycans etc. wandering around who probably wouldn't survive close scrutiny, but there is no great outcry about them being decietful. Get out there and have fun
  15. Latest update out yesterday, body 5.1 (not 5.01) fixes the glitches and a few other things. Just not the toenails, which is the only thing that's bugging me.
  16. Simplest solution seems to be use Black Dragon viewer. Using the inbuild poser you can save poses and recall them and move and rotate the avi without loosing the pose.
  17. On behalf of all the geeky kids who had their teens messed up by unatural expectations and peer pressure, I'd like to give the senior management at hallmark a Chicago style V day
  18. Only problem now is the nails are now BOM resistant. Using system alphas with some of my shoes and boots I end up with toenails floating in front of the shoe.
  19. Must admit first attempts to use black dragon didn't last long, after using firestorm for years I found the interface too confusing. This thread and the links to the blog and tutorials have got me interested. I'm still using firestorm for most of my inworld time, but switching more to BD for serious pics. Thanks to Niran for making it and everyone else for the useful info.
  20. One of the reasons I avoid that brand of head. I'm blonde, what use is a brain to me ?
  21. It's 2020,you would think by now that someone would have noticed we are no longer limited by the mechanical limitations of a century ago and don't need to use a keyboard designed to be the most difficult for people to use.
