  1. So, I've got the first part of my Male skin downpact (see here: https://gyazo.com/23a18cb380a212825d3cbc6bc8f076a4 and here: https://gyazo.com/04aa2ee60d9f77ab261d20e89a603500) and I've got the If0y_psds files and I'm on Robin's 2nd step (from Robin's Making Stuff), but I'm having some trouble gauging when I'd like the nipples to go, and I have the Signature Gianni Torso and Legs BASE TEXTURES already opened in GIMP as well, and I was wondering if I could place what I did for Step 1 over the BASE TEXTURE for the Upper and gauge it that way somehow? This is probably a bit jumbled, but any help would be greatly appreciated. - Thanks, Khyujo
  2. I think I found the If0y files....fingers crossed
  3. so, I finally got around to making my first male skin, but I can't seem to find Eloh's if0y file for the nipples. could someone please help me?
  4. Now, I already have a forum topic called "Making Skins For Dummies 101" and I was wondering if it could get "locked" somehow. Thanks. So onto the nitty-gritty, I recently decided that I wanted to make male skins (or is it appliers??) (preferably for the Signature Gianni Mesh Body). so, I grabbed the Signature Gianni Dev Kit awhile back, saved the body textures to my computer and opened them in GIMP (and Photoshop) and kinda just stared at it a bit confused. But, I also have Chip Midnight's Master Template files downloaded (for clothing/skins), and Eloh Eliot's skin templates as well (and a "Fake Bake" Avatar Templates that I bought from the MP awhile back as well). Basically, I was wondering how to navigate skin making using a Developer's Kit and also how I'd stitch the finished product together. Any help would be greatly appreciated! P.S. decided to use Photoshop (HSV Noise is grayed out in GIMP 2.8.20, even though I have RGB Mode selected).
  5. I recently download the Textures from the Gianni Dev kit, that I picked up awhile ago, into Photoshop. But now I'm completely stumped in terms of what to do next. Please help.
  6. Thank you and are the Photoshop files available too or is it just the Gimp files? and what's fake baking/baking in general?
  7. so, I recently decided that I wanted to make male skins (or is it appliers??) (preferably for the Signature Gianni Mesh Body). Now, I came across Robin's tutorial here: http://robin-makingstuff.blogspot.com/2011/08/making-male-skin-starlight-step-1.html but when I went to download the PSD (or) GIMP Files from here: https://sites.google.com/site/another/resources, I got this message here: https://gyazo.com/ef340677b787a851e5284f3e5d92ffab. SO, basically I was wondering if there were any other tutorials like Robins' that are currently accessible for people like myself who want to dabble in skin creation? Also, I've never made skins for ANY virtual program before. Translation: TOTAL NOOB HERE (in terms of skin making and things of that nature).
  8. think I'll do that. Thanks
  9. I tried Google...didn't really get that much

  11. so, bought these handsome devils awhile back from Mr. Wainwright (Faust Steamer), but I'm not exactly sure where to start, (seeing as how I'm still a bit of a NOOB to Maya) and I've never created ANYTHING before. So, any help would be greatly apprieacted.
  12. is it really necessary for creating clothes and such, or can I solely use Blender?
  13. Oh wow, thanks I'll definitly be checking some of these out. Yes, I live in America and its fine
  14. oh ok, thanks everyone. Joined two groups in-world already too so this one: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/VISTA-ANIMATIONS-MALE-BASIC-MOCAP-AO-2013/298450
  15. oh ok, I'll get on that right away. and what's an AO exactly? 1. Causual, somewhat Formal, biker boots, skinny jeans, sweatpants, chinos, high top sneakers, 2. Heavy(ish) tattoos (I like Bolson's tattoos alot, but I'm open to other ones of that quality), Urban Streetwear (think some of 1. would fall into that catergory 3. some Mad Max esche items would be cool too, plus some Katanas and some sweet laser guns 4. swim trunks, boxers 5. maybe, probably some Harry Potter gear, Power Rangers gear too 6. something similar in quality to taketomi & Burley, like [bade] 7. An AO definetly
  16. I'm pretty new to the SL scence, (apart from seeing multiple ads for it when I was younger, yet I was never really made one until around 2014, always stuck to IMVU), but I'm here now and this new world seems very new and exciting, yet also confusing and daunting. Anyways, I have a general idea of what I want ( an Aeros Avatar, maybe with the **bleep** attachment), along with a plethora of clothes, accessories, hairs, and such in my wishlist. I've tried on a bunch of demos from various shops in my wishlist too, but, I'm not entirely sure whether I want to get Arrow, Raul, or Javier (Aeros skins), or any indication of what clothes I wanna get, (because I'm still a bit wonky on the mesurements and such. I currently have 100 Lindens and I'll be buying at least 10k on Monday and I was wondering if someone wouldn't mind shopping in-world with me, (showing me the ropes, helping me decides what looks good, (like a RL shopping experience), and show me anything else they'd think I should know.
  17. so I'd just type IKON into the Merchants tab? and more normal, kinda like a soccer player build
  18. Advice and Suggestions I'm currently on the lookout, (via the Marketplace, needs a new computer), for some good avatar skin and shape combos and/or mesh heads for male avatar bases, similar to Pi Rain's, and I would love any suggestions. I asked a similar question awhile back on another account of mine that I ultimately ended up deleting. I wasn't exactly sure, at the time, about the specifics of what I wanted, (i.e Cauasian (probably botched that), Black, Islander, etc). Nor was I all that certain about if I wanted freckles, beauty marks and things of that nature, mainly because I wanted to scroll through the different suggestions and pick out a couple favs). But now, I know what I want: Cauasian or Black with or without freckles/beauty marks. Also, if someone could point me in the direction of some brown, green, blue, black or even different eye colours like jewel tones (i.e amethyst, jade, aqua colours maybe), that'd be greatly apprieciated. Thanks, Khy
