  2. I have two questions as follows: What part, if any, will voxels play in Project Sansar? Have you given any consideration toward trying to improve the experience of your user base concerning customer service? If so, in what way? If not, why not? ...Dres

  5. Here - link. Though, after reading this post, I fail to see why you wouldn't make the effort to switch to a system which will actually provide you with support should you need it. After all, it'd probably be more time consuming than it'd be difficult. And it might save you some time and headaches in the long run. ...Dres

  7. If anyone is still inworld, would you please IM Henny Penny and let her know the sky is falling? ...Dres
  8. Just so you know, it's the first thing under Preferences/Firestorm/Extras. ...Dres
  9. I would start here... link. You might want to search Omega under that catagory as well, since you can use Omega appliers with Maitreya as well. ...Dres

  12. Vandris wrote: thanks for the recommendations, although it's a bit entertaining that Firestorm weeds out an operating system SL is perfectly built to run on... as old as it is. Firestorm is simply keeping up with the LL viewer, as they long ago said they would. You can't run an OS that's so old it's no longer supported and expect software being created for newer ones, that are, to work with it indefinitely. Right now you've got alternatives, but eventually they'll become scarce... once more and more TPV devs decide supporting an unsupported OS simply isn't worth the trouble. ...Dres
  13. Just FYI, Firestorm version 4.6.9 will still be available until their next update. ...Dres
  14. Did you receive a texture or a object? If it's just the texture, you don't need to rez it. If it's an object, then it should rez in a sandbox. Do you get any message when it fails to rez and, if so, what? If not, you might be trying to rez the texture itself, which won't work and won't send you a massage about it either. It's possible that the seller has that product marked incorrectly and you don't actually have to unpack it. ...Dres
  15. Oh, I think I understand what you're trying to say. Employees and users of other platforms might say something like, "File a bug report," or something similar, even if they use Jira software for doing so. Thereby making the terminology used instead by LL employees and SL users - "File a Jira" - a product of the LL/SL sub-culture. Right? ...Dres
  16. I guess you could call it an in-joke, since it is a reference to their main competitor - Mozilla's bug tracking software Bugzilla. But, like the server names used by LL, it's simply one company's decision of what to name something... not some sort of sub-cultural phenomenon. Unless, of course, you consider the people who work for a company to be a sub-culture. ...Dres
  17. Because I don't need it and, since we can only have so many groups, why just leave it there taking up a slot? I already have my land group for tags. ...Dres

  20. Yami Tairov wrote: I honestly didn't realize this was the wrong place for the post, but the first person who responded was rather condesending and calling people stupid. Hence my response. I'm not looking for anyone to give me anything for free. But thanks. Condescending?... perhaps a little bit. Calling people stupid?... not at all. Just because something someone posts makes you feel stupid, doesn't mean they were actually calling you stupid. ...Dres
  21. It seems rather unethical to me. When people search the MP for Maitreya mesh clothing, they're most probably searching for mesh that was specifically made for that body. Including the Maitreya name in the description would mean that it's likely to show up in a search for Maitreya mesh clothing... leading people to believe that it was made specifically for that body when it clearly wasn't. I'd also be concerned that Maitreya wouldn't care for you using their product name in such a way. As such, I recommend you not even mention it. ...Dres
  22. Oh okay... I haven't tried. Plus, I was thinking I should probably get it worked out before I did something that anyway... just cause it's probably better than leaving it floating out there somewhere (figuratively, of course). ...Dres
  23. kris2112 wrote: ok .. if it is firestorm .. i would try the follwoing -- go into your computer's user settings -- find the appData folder ...open it .. you should see 3 folders .. LOCAL, LOCALLOW, and ROAMING... open LOCAL, delete the firestorm folder.... open ROAMING - delete the firestorm folder. ( dont worry they will repopulate ) Now , RESTART your computer... that may help correct your issues. The only reason why I'd ever delete the content of the Firestorm folder in Roaming is if I wanted to get rid of every single one of my saved settings and chat files... as such, I don't believe that would be necessary in this instance. Manually deleting the content in Local is a good idea though... rather than just hitting the clear cache button. ...Dres
  24. First get out of that sandbox... you need to be in a quiet sim with not many other avatars around and try doing a character test... then rebuild your avatar piece by piece. The Character test is under Avatar/Avatar Health/Reset Default Male or Female Avatar (doesn't matter which one). For a quiet sim, Firestorm recommends the Phoenix Support parcel or a Linden water region such as aich or hatton. ...Dres
