I'm not asking for discussion's sake (although already I rather wish I was!). I'm asking because, avatar maximums aside, it honestly doesn't make sense if I'm running two viewers side-by-side, one for my main and one for my alt. I mean, I will comply if that's what's expected, but I'm here to make sure that this IS what's expected of me if I have an alt tied to my main account.

Edit: Thanks to all who answered my questions! It means a great deal to me! Since the decision to bring back last names and also first names has become an actual effort (timing's irrelevant to me here), I've been in contact with a very close friend, who joined SL long before I did. I would like to, if the ToS even allows it (been a while since I skimmed it), sponsor a temporary (possibly even permanent) premium membership for her, to allow her to change her first name in-game and to receive a larger stipend than she does now (she got lucky and receives the L$100 legacy stipend). My questions about the matter are: Is it against the ToS to make such an arrangement, sponsoring two different users on a single payment method if all involved parties consent to it? If she needs to downgrade to basic for any reason, will she lose her legacy stipend? Anybody who can provide me with any answers will have my gratitude!

Heh. Wish I had one of those. Working from an old laptop and not really having the money to upgrade doesn't help much.

Is it possible to install the latest version of the SL viewer (the recent 64 bit one) outside of Program Files? I have a habit of keeping as many programs outside of that folder (and also its x86 version) precisely due to permissions being held only by the system and no users, even administrative accounts. The fact that the newest 5.1 view installed directly to Program Files wasn't much of a pleasant surprise, and the only reason I haven't uninstalled it is due to losing user settings within the viewer itself. That said, if all it takes is a clean install to choose my folder, then disregard this message? EDIT: I should clarify, does a clean install allow you to choose your destinatio folder?
