Oh wow. Well...guess I won't be doing that anymore then, thank you. Since i'm still kind of new-ish, I don't really know what scams exist. I don't have my SL linked to a paypal currently.

Ok update time. I went to the in-world office, and I clicked this ATM that they had there, and they gave me L$. Honestly I don't care if I have a lot of $L, normally I use my $L to tip DJs, that's about it really, only occasionally I'll buy an avatar item or something.

Ah..well they do have an inworld office and everything..

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, I had built up a good amount of L just visiting places and completing the offers which usually last about 3 minutes. Then when I went to withdraw it said it would give me the L I requested on a certain date. Well, that day came and gone and I never got my funds. What do I do?

Well, I suppose everyone has their own preferences when it comes to gestures. Can't really tell em no, ya just kinda gotta look past it I guess. That's what I've been doing anyway. Haha, I think the most annoying one is the long hooooo! gesture. Just sayin, whoever created that one is an ass lol.

Thx for the constructive replies! Yeah I think that for now I'm still gonna be just part of the crowd. I may do it at some point, but honestly I just enjoy hanging at clubs for the most part. Since I'm fairly new, what club recommendations do you guys have for me? Clubbing is like 90% of my SL time, I've been to REZ, Ambrosia dance club, dance island, The Venue, Coconutz beach club, and a few others i cant recall off the top of my head. I love listening to djs and the different styles that they have. I love making requests too. I request here and there, not always. Also, tips on befriending people in these places? I befriend djs pretty easily, but whats the best approach to befriending someone who's just listening?

Just wondering on what I should do. Honestly for me, it's a pain getting any sort of stream up, I mean, I have this stream that I started, but I dunno. The thing that annoys me is just all the people spamming gestures the WHOLE time the DJ is donig their thing. Yeah I get that you have to interact with people and everything, but for god sakes, the gestures spam the whole place, making it hard for anyone to have any sort of conversation. It's just one thing that irks me about the whole DJ thing. Hosts too can be annoying. I dunno, I've given it some thought, and I'm still undecided if I want to make the plunge or not. I know DJs don't have to talk also, just play music, which would be ideal for me as I'm not a big talker if I were to actually commit to it. I dunno. I'm on a lot and hang out at quite a few SL clubs..some of the things I see just turn me off to being a DJ here. If a DJ past/present could relate, then feel free to reply, I'm also open to any opportunities should someone offer :)

Heya Paul, I've been on SL for a month and a little over now...and I'm gonna tell you this. You just gotta ask for help, and you'll find many wonderful people who are willing to do whatever it is you are looking to do. I've made a lot of great friends so far here. Also, as far as avatar items and stuff, you can LITERALLY do whatever you want to do on here, the sky's the limit dude. Lemme tell ya, you can organize, re-organize, whatever..with your inventory. Also as far as friends and people who are trying to change you, I agree with other people, listen to their advice, but also decide for yourself what you think would be best. Recently, the other day actually.. one of my friends came online, and they just kinda took my house away from me, I was fine with where I was too, well unfortunately she couldn't really own the land that my house was on anymore due to her just being so busy IRL. Soo yeah she took the house away, my stuff was still there floating in the sky though, currently I don't know what I'm going to do with my stuff, I'll probably keep it in my inventory as a keepsake, no way I'd get rid of them. Soo I asked this other friend if I could get any places where I could just rez a home, and she goes "You can set home to my location" and I'm like "Ok awesome!" Let me tell you, the place is beautiful, my friend pays over 300k/mo for it...I was like omg haha. So..good things happen if you just ask sometimes. We've been friends for a while though keep in mind. So build trust with people and over time they'll give you the things that you're asking for. If you want to be friends, by all means, feel free, and if you're looking for any help, I'll gladly give you any assistance should you need it Enjoy your Second Life.

I had recently joined this guy's group too, cuz I thought he was a cool guy and we conversed a little and he seemed ok with me. I was going to ask him why but I closed out his IM and when I try to find him I can't...so.. Still sort of new to SL and don't really know the policies for groups or anything, I assume every group owner has different policies. Maybe he thought I wasn't around enough so he ejected me? I dunno. I'm not mad about it or anything, just confused is all.

It's been a week and a few days here for me on SL. So far it's been fun. I was shown how to dress my avatar up and everything, have my own apt too, so if anyone would like to come to my apt and chat I welcome that too, will provide the teleportation once you friend me, if you like, or if you want I can teleport you to wherever I happen to be as well, the choice is yours :). The people here are amazing. I've been on Linden Realms, that was kinda fun, but finding green crystals is pretty tough, blue too, I DID find a green one, but like I couldn't even get to it! Made me mad. I've been to a few clubs too, many unique dj's and different musical styles, it's interesting to listen to them. Anyway, feel free to add me. Would love some more interesting locations to go to. 26/M in the US on the east coast :) Also to give anyone an idea of a place I might like to go to, I'm a geeky type.
