  1. I think the horrible bare belly look is dictated by the fact it fits more different pants. Really a full tucked-in version needs dedicated pants/skirts/shorts etc.. And that may limit sales. My solution is to wear a BoM tee under - if I can find one that works with it. (Note to self: learn how to make BoM bellies....
  2. I wonder why Lelutka gave them a licence to use their EvoX UV AND slag them off ( 4x the detail... ) at the same time? Looking forward to trying this though. Does anyone know if having a 1000x1000 UV map cost you preformance? Does it eat more bandwidth or something? If not why not 20,000 x 20,000?
  3. Thanks guys! Oddly it was the eyebrow shaper that came with Lelutka Nova. Maybe I did it by mistake at some time. Fixed now though. Even after all these years, still learning.
  4. I should know this, but I have this big grey object in my head, even after taking everything off, and clearing cache, and rebooting. How do I get rid of it? It sticks out the back, and you can't select it.
  5. I have the V for Lara, and the Sensations ***** too. The V was more expensive. Now Sessions will want another tranche of cash for the LaraX, next decade when it comes out, 'soon' (tm), whereas Sensations gave me the update. I don't actually like the V as much as the Sensations (for Lara), but it's HUD is better. So I am a a happy LaraX camper!
  6. I agree with everything you say. The main reason why I am so vociferous about where I am taking my future purchases (LaraX Petite only) is to help those who are dithering, and also to guide designers. Others will be just as firm, but with different tastes. It's like wine, I don't like white wine, but I'm happy to drink Cabernet Sauvignon until the cows come home. This doesn't mean I think Chablis drinkers are nuts (unlike my views on Tea-Totallers 😄). I see some places with LaraX + Lara, but no Petite, I am not a customer any more. Sorry. The number of alternative bodies is now so huge you have to make strong decisions or waste vast efforts making more than one work for you.
  7. I have pretty much moved completely over to LaraX Petite now. To some extent this is thanks to @Earalia Nolan, and Sensations - the final piece in the body-jigsaw. I won't be buying anything that doesn't support it from now on either. This isn't proving to be hard. I have found lots and lots of clothes for 'me'. While many are new clothes (or updates) rigged especially for LaraX Petite, I have made custom-alphas for a huge swathe of my old Lara and Lara Petite clothes, mostly 'cold weather' types. A key factor in much of the re-tailoring work has been use of V5 autohide in some clothes, anything with V4 autohides is a real pain (I'm looking at ya Blueberry), but it's not insurmountable. I'm also having fun going through my inventory and deleting stuff that I'll never been seen dead in again...
  8. For obvious reasons, I wont share a picture, but the Sensations female bits have been released for LaraX. Free upgrade for existing customers too.
  9. Yes, Sensations is out. It works well.
  10. I am not reading all the pages of this thread, but this is what you do: Create an alt, give it a tiny transparent body, rezz it and get it to sit on your boat. Rez your avatar and wander about the deck... Simples.
  11. I do that all the time.... doh.
  12. I take it that this NVIDIA Control Panel is a Windows thing. On Linux we have a NVIDIA Settings application that has only a few of these for my 1080.
  13. Must be something else to do with my set up then. Thanks for the feedback. EDIT: I finally got it to work. I got a different login screen, and then it was okay. I don't know what I did though. So this won't help anyone else. It suddenly just started working.
  14. It was better when we all wrote in HTML, and made it pretty with CSS...
  15. You OWN panties? For SL? Gee! (thinks, I wonder if they are BoM, or what?...)
  16. Would be if it works.... Everything leads me back to the Account page. I think it's the new Firefox now. If I type https://community.secondlife.com/forums into the new Firefox, I just get the log-in, and logging-in gets me to Account. If I'm already logged-in, then it still goes to Account: https://secondlife.com/my/account/ Same with a bookmark. Sorry Firefox, you screwed it.
  17. Interesting topic, but 6 pages of comments already. I must give up more sleep. @Sid Nagy said: But I will not change my avatar for people who want me to be taller, shorter, needing to wear a certain body or head.. Not in a thousand years. @Anna NovaDitto. I wouldn't like the people who went there either.
  18. I have not tried this is many years, but something I read made me want to try Firefox browser again (N.B.. I'm on Linux, so I know I'm a second-class citizen). So I imported all my Brave bookmarks, and tried it. It's good - except: I can't access the SL Forums. Whatever I do, I get the SL browser login screen and then, when I put in my credentials, I get the Account summary page. Clicking 'Community' at the top gives the Community page, but clicking 'Go to FORUMS ' at the bottom-right just takes me back to the Account page. Is this intended behavior? To push people towards Chrome-based browsers or something I don't understand? And ideas before I raise a ticket?
  19. I find the same thing in RL. Usually they are labelled 'Politician' or 'Media'. They are even less use than the ones in SL, which have the virtue of being decorative.
  20. It's the California-centricity of things that sort of annoys me, @Sid Nagy. Yes, we all know they are in bed in California, but SL is a global offering. Still, all's well that ends well. Both the transactions that I was awaiting arrived, just as @Sphynx Soleil said.
  21. AND as usual the Secondlife Status Page say's absolutely nothing.
  22. My favourite, umm, thingy, is the Sensations one. I asked the creator and got a sort of non-committal 'I'm working on something else right now, maybe...' answer. So it's not my favourite 'umm thingy' any more.
  23. That one looks good, I'll get one and try it. I think the key is inspecting regularly. My infestation is usually in the attic (or 'loft' as we call it in UK) which isn't the easiest place to inspect.
  24. In my experience humane mouse traps aren't humane at all. They catch the mouse and don't kill it okay, but you find it covered in sweat and panting if great distress. It's okay if you check them really frequently I guess, but I'm not a fan.
