The silliest thing I kept reading in that thread was, “a lot of people think everything should be free”. I’ve never met anyone with that opinion.

Just in case, I store the “box” in subfolder for each item (and name the subfolder “box”).

Another thing changed since 2008, no annoying "Prim Savers" advertisement after every post.

Ok, I scanned the archived thread. Nowhere in that thread did Phil say that landlords wanted "copy items" because of "greed". So, things do change. Except in that old thread, Phil called out most repliers for not answering his exact question of whether people "should" be able to copy items. There's that "should" word again!

I disagree with the fundamental assertion that the arguments have not changed. Darn, now I have to go read the archived post.

Do you think that we should start quoting archived forum posts more often, just like we quote current posts? That would be interesting.

Growing up in Texas, there was a style of boots which were called, “corner roach stompers”. Not sure I was creative enough in my early youth to make that up myself.

I’m curious to see if response is, “that’s not what I said/meant” by “nothing ever changes”.

Can you imagine how confusing SL is to inflexible people? Rules, griefers, scams, friendship, Furries, roleplay, fantasy sim..all must be too much for them.
