  1. GOODWILL is the first thing to disappear under a dictatorship. ***And from what I read between the lines of Ebbe's performing seal act on Peter Gray's scripts, it will be "MY world, MY imagination"***

GESTATION This answer took as long to be posted as a normal human baby takes from conception to birth. ***Whereas questions correctly posted in the Answers section get a response in the same time that copulation takes***
  3. HELL! Angelina Jolie doesn't look like Angelina Jolie most of the time. ***This advert is sponsored by Airbrush Inc, PhotoShopping International and FantasyGirl Cosmetic Surgery (2014)***
  4. THIS week's driver release from AMD addressed sl problems, I understood. ***AMD's "addressing problems" may mean just closing fault reports that can't be fixed, and saying that such things contribute to a shared experience, like LL does***
  5. RETRACTION It can't be Ebbe, as there's a certain relevance - and a sick sense of humour, as was once attributed to a fictitious higher being by Depeche Mode - to postings. ***It's almost as if Jumpy and Wasted had a test-tube baby by one of those blue-bereted Lithuanian UN Peacekeepers***

  9. CHOOSE your friends more carefully - not from the 90%+ of players who don't have a clue.. ***Or petition LL to institute a minimum IQ test for new registrations***

  11. This thread is rapidly becoming a rehearsal of the argument for eugenic purification - and without wishing to play the Godwin card, we all know where that led... ***On the other hand, it may indicate the new name for SL2 : GhettoLand***

Most people can't afford to eat out, take out or get delivery for all their meals though so are forced to eat at home. YOU can buy a lot of pizzas with the money you save by not buying a fridge, freezer, oven, stove, pots, pans, cutlery, plates, dishwasher etc. ***The money lasts longer if you decorate plain pizzas with roadkill***
  15. irihapeti wrote: Amethyst Jetaime wrote: Most people can't afford to eat out, take out or get delivery for all their meals though so are forced to eat at home. i am one of these unfortunate people. Is horrible. Like I have to cook my own food even these days i was not born to live like this. When I was younger I had servants to do all this stuff for me. Then one day one of them said that my arms werent painted on. Was very rude of them to say that to me. I never said mean things to her ever i never said nothing, just fixed them with my steely glare and pointed at the mess I had made on the floor. That servant just point blank refused to tidy it up. So I cry to my chaffeur and butler about it. And somehow that witchy servant person had turned his heart to stone was awful. Still is. One day the curse that has fell on them will be lifted and I will be restored to my natural born place. And they to theirs. I did mention this once to the witchy person. She just smiled and said: dont hold your breath waiting ok was awful that evil smile. So now I just pretend that I enjoy cooking and cleaning and picking up after myself. Is not true this. Was way more enjoyable when I had servants who done everything for me (: NEVER mind. Perhaps if you learned how to do makeup, invested in some revealing clothing and practised laughing at old jokes some stupid rich guy would marry you and you could afford the help you so obviously need. ***Or you could organise your finances so you could keep the 30% of your earnings you donate to the government***

Is my money and not theirs. my income tax that my employer withholds from my salary is payable by them to the taxman monthly. If they dont hand it over then the taxman will be onto them. They want my tax money that was withheld from me is the same for my tax monies withheld on interest and dividends paid + that a argument is premised on a view that all taxation is legalised theft, then in effect the argument is belief-based. Is axiomatic. No different from "God exists" Why? bc he does. Taxation is legalised theft. Why? bc it is. Axiomatic reasoning YOU have chosen to participate in a financial structure where you have given up your power over your earnings, in this case, to an employer, presumably because you lack the imagination or bravery to establish a different protocol for payment. I, and others I advise, do not wish to have our hard-earned monies squandered on floating duckhouses or nonsensical involvement in foreign wars. Taking some of the money I earn and preventing me from buying a Maserati would be theft, if I allowed it to happen. ***Not everyone needs to be a sheep; not even in New Zealand***
  17. ANAGRAM!NekoRei Latrell is almost an anagram of "Linden Lab Marketing Dept". ***Once you have worked that out, everything about this thread makes sense***
  18. EBBE I know there have been lots of complaints about your continuing absence from the forums, but this is no way to announce your re-emergence from obscurity. ***You may have been a victim of an early April Fool prank by Peter Gray; you don't NEED to do EVERYTHING he tells you to, you know***

  22. irihapeti wrote: as for withholding driving activity underground the bank that pays me interest on my savings doesnt pay me under the table. The company I have shares in doesnt pay me my dividend under the table. I get paid less withholding tax. The film maker who hires me as a actor to be in her movie, doesnt pay me under the table either. If I am a tax-registered business then they will only pay me on tax invoice. If I am not then they will pay me as a casual worker, less withholding tax. If employee then I get paid less income tax (PAYE). PAYE is a withholding tax. Pay as you earn NAIVE? Most taxes are charitable contributions made by those afraid of the taxman. ***Almost all the taxmen I have met have had the same cognitive level as till-girls, squaddies, and forum participants***
  23. irihapeti wrote: about Mr Kings views on the cost of collecting his 1970s arguments dont have anything to do with withholding tax. They have to do with collecting company income tax the least understood point about withholding taxes is that the person who pays the tax is not the owner of the monies paid. The owner (by law) of the money paid to the tax department is the person on whose behalf it was paid SETOFF A simple concept, and one that is inherent in all fair tax laws, and where it is not (UK banking practice, for instance) it is considered legalised theft. The concept is the basis for most legal mechanisms for not paying tax authorities monies which you have theoretically collected on their behalf. ***And even if you eventually have to pay over some of whatever funds you may have collected, by deferral you have had the cash flow benefit, which can be more important than profits***
