  1. if efficiency , less lag and mesh optimization is something that is important to you, then Reborn would be the choice of those 2. If you currently wear Maitreya, maybe the free LaraX upgrade is also an option for you
  2. MD Labs is a great vendor system, too and lets you import your data easily
  3. your high poly model does not need UV's at all. only the low poly model does. usually I even delete all UV's from the high poly before baking if there are any, just to avoid any errors.
  4. Oh for sure! It’s the new shiny thing atm, time will tell how things will develop. personally I can’t afford to go on with both versions but nothing is ever carved in stone for me. I will adjust if needed
  5. an insight example to that assumption from one of my latest releases ( Cinderella ) that is available for Lara as well as for LaraX. It's just one release and just my store, but to me this already gives a pretty clear direction. As I sell per body, it's easy to see: LaraX sales were overall by far the strongest in this release, followed by Reborn, Lara sales are way in the back of the tail. As I said, one release of one creator is certainly not representative, but also what bodies are most worn, going by various stats, does not neccessarily represent sales either. Those vary a lot from brand to brand depending on so many different things like style, customer base, pricing, marketing etc.
  6. I created one! if it only could also change clothing from one body to the next..
  7. happy you enjoy them! new interactive ones will be coming a little more towards spring and yes absolutely in LaraX and PetiteX sizes ❤️
  8. that's perfectly fine! Not a single person has disagreed to that.
  9. No one at any point said you should buy things that are useless to you and that are not for your body or “ give them your money” period. telling a creator literally what they made is”useless” is a totally different thing . I am pretty sure I made myself clear by now and most luckily understood . Of course there will always be different opinions and such that see nothing wrong in telling a creator (or any person for that matter) that what they made is “useless”. At this point I am bowing out of this discussion .
  10. there is absolutely nothing wrong with customer feedback. in fact (at least to me) it's very welcomed. it's always a matter of tone and how you phrase things. There is literally no need to be rude about it, like there is also no need to tell any creator that their things are "useless". Creators are not "alien" to this idea. We face "feeback" in rude and entitled ways on daily bases . Yes, it is part of a creators life, and yes creators also need to grow a thick skin. But again, nothing of that justifies such behaviour imho.
  11. I think you don't have to buy a thing that doesn't suit you. And while not buying, at the same time you could have chosen to be kind instead of condescending.
  12. I would encourage everyone to rather be kind than "get tough" with the creators. cause honestly, they do not have to suit anybody. the amount of bodies and mods dropping left and right on top of arrogance and entitlement that is brought to us creators on daily bases, makes it more than hard to find the joy in creating. most creators actually use SL for their hobby, and their creative outlet. Being supportive, encouraging and motivating to creators , does way more than "getting tough" on them. For many daily life on its own is tough enough, there is literally no need to add "extra toughness" to it. By doing that you will mostlikely ensure to not get what you might have originally wished for. Kindness is free and a choice.
  13. the previous kit was great and easy to work with already. What many creators seemed to have trouble to understand is that it was not an issue of the kit before that made things difficult, it was the body itself . the issues we faced were not because of some flaws in the kit. It was the weight distribution and to eb excat the amount of influences per bone on the body itself and that is something that has been fixed for LaraX (and the reason for some of the previous clothes not working on the new body). So now some might feel it's techinally easier because there is less trial and error. The new kit comes with its own pro and cons but the weights are definitely smooth and easy to transfer, so that bottom line it is easier to get a better fit. (just for different reasons)
  14. with the huge amount of vampires here, I think I need to make more vampire clothing... I smell some opportunities 😃
  15. I believe that goes for any body a store decides to drop. In the end no one is able to cater to 1726378 bodies and their mods, especially if you work on your own. So you have to pick whatever works for your store and mostly for personal health. If a body is popular but you don't enjoy creating for it, don't do it. Frustration will creep in so fast and will be overwhelming. And if that means that a certain body is not supported and you won't have those customers, then that's exactly that and it's perfectly fine imho.
  16. general stats about "grid snapshots" as in what body is worn most often , do not really say anything about how different stores sell certain sizes. Sales depend on so many different factors and a lot on the store's style as well as customer base and what kind of people they draw in. Which is why some stores have similar stats to certain body sizes and some absolutely not. Some sell Lara so well that it everyting after only comes with a gap (salewise), some sell other sizes way better up to the point that they could drop selling Lara at all. Same goes for male sizes . Because some stats say Gianni is before Jake, it does not mean that stores have the same experience in sales. going by those general stats, GenX is barely to be found. Must be all ghosts shopping in my store buying GenX sizes, cause I certainly can't complain about those sales . I would have never kept body support if it would be just 5% of less. So I can only encourage each store to collect their own stats and focus on those.
  17. mhm it's why I think its best to see and test when it's released
  18. What will not work are for example things like, see through boleros that are skin tight around the shoulder area. skin tight straps that are positioned in the previous "problematic" waist area. stuff like that. For many many things you can wear an alpha and won't have an issue and a some things won't even need that. Lara X is basically the result of many many suggestions from many many creators and customers over the time to help with the rigs and the issues with weights we had before. hands and feet remain the exact same, from the official pics the wrist are a tad slimmer , subtle changes.
  19. well this part is simply not true. That's why best to wait until it's released and see for yourself before jumping into conclusions
  20. Gen X has absolutely nothing to do with the previous Belleza bodies. it's a totally different mesh and had completely different weights. Hence different name and a new purchase. LaraX is an actual update to Lara. most of the body remains as is. there are parts of it that are being adjusted (subtle shape changes and improved weights) such as shoulders and waist area mainly. it still remains a Lara body. very different to what Belleza did
  21. for the Senra bodies, you can apply here
  22. if you want to make clothes for existing mesh bodies, you would need to apply for the dev kits of those meshbodies. most of them have either a website or a discord server where you can apply but also most would want to see some mesh in your store already to approve you. you can also apply for the new Senra bodies from LL now
  23. but you do not have to replace anything. both bodies will be in your redelivery folder. save your previous outfits with your Lara 5.3 and new ones with Lara X. it's literally one click to change the whole outfit including the body and everything else you have been wearing. This got a lot easier with Bom coming out, as those layers also just save with your outfit. So you totally can enjoy both and keep using your 800+ outfits as you are used to. They are not being taken away ❤️
  24. totally. people seem to complain about everything and and everywhere. it's the most popular hobby . Personally, I am super excited for Lara X and will fully support it. Going by the actual info from Maitreya and not the assumptions and specualtions allover, I think it's a great move and it was about time.
