She/he/it might have a different identity/business now but someone might know of her metamorphosis. Or you could try the Missed Connections forum, although that is pretty much taken up with wondering where all the Lindens have gone.

  3. Vulpinus wrote: I'm not addicted, I can stop any time I want. I have recently switched from drinking wine to brake fluid. It doesn't taste very nice, but it's easier to stop.
  4. Doesn't worry me; I 'shop images of myself before they get posted to the 'net. And you are an idiot if you think your country's copyright law extends to any other legislation. Especially in terms of enforceability.
  5. Mitchell Indigo wrote: Oh no I'm not into that kind of music style. Mine will mainly be any classic rock, soft rock, and little pop music from the 70s to today. Are you streaming BBC Radio 2?
  6. I am still looking for a good Anti-Social Network.
  7. lVlirror wrote: I have a quick question what age do you have to be to set your perferences to moderate Mentally, about 12, and have a reading age of about the same, it would appear. But LL's employment practices allow a degree of freedom even to these criteria.
  8. TBD sounds like a stupid name. I mean, what does it mean!
  9. I don't have inventory problems because I don't have inventory. It's much easier that way. I am practising for SL V2.
  10. I am delighted you are back. I wish all the other recalcitrant recidivists would return. It would be a lot less boring around here then. And don't worry, it'll take months before the Lindens and their handmaidens notice you.

  12. Taeem wrote: I could choose between the LL viewer and firestorm, I used the latter, as I do else, too and to have a good comparison. Things loaded pretty fast, looking nice, and I could move fast, too, but unfortunately while moving or turning around, some textures get blurry and flicker, I was starting to feel sick after a few minutes lol so I logged out, might be just me though, the getting sick, but the blurriness and flickering would keep me from using it anyway probably. They have obviously made a breakthrough in fairness. Soon everybody will feel motion sickness when visiting a virtual world, not just those using Oculus Rift. [if you want the lowdown on the non-viability of immersion headsets, just google "oculus risk".]
  13. Madelaine McMasters wrote: don't visit a farm! This is the most worthwhile advice you have ever offered.
  14. I thought it was a man's job to take out the trash? And I am not talking simply about a dinner invitation.
  15. Not wanting to name drop, but I go dancing occasionally in SL with a Lady (with an upper case L) whose mother was in charge of organising the music program for their wedding.
  16. Have you tries to contact Kate to find out where she got it? And I agree, the veil is completely transparent.
  17. I am not Australian but I have a criminal record. Would this do?
  18. LlazarusLlong wrote: My daughter has recently developed an interest in musical theatre, as I discovered when I asked her why she was prancing about in her jammies singing "Try a little priest". Don't even ask why I was reading this thread. Especially don't ask why I thought it was worth a necropost. Why did you think it was worth a necropost?
  19. LaskyaClaren wrote: DO you miss any of your former identities? This is a question worthy of its own Friday thread, but perhaps posed by a more philosophically inclined alt on a dark winter day. In the meantime, I would answer that you should rather be asking others if my former identities are missed; I do not miss them at all, since they all live on in me - I hear their voices clearly and persistently inside my head, creating a discursive narrative considerably more entertaining and insightful, from a plethora of viewpoints, than the illiterate inanity documented in the forums. [Although sometimes I wish the Central European performance artist, Knotter Blogfan, had had more of a run, if only because he annoyed and confused Phil so much; perhaps a relation of his might make an appearance or two in the silly season.]

[When did Sweden last win the European Championship? When Denmark won it in in 1992, it was with a team that interrupted their summer holidays briefly to do so, as they were only invited to play at the last minute.]
  21. Because, like >99% of those who participate in SL, they are stupid and want to display their real-world handicap in a virtual public place. Which does tend to suggest that the great majority of SLers are unconscious BDSMers specialising in masochism, wishing to be harangued for their inadequacies by a few consciously sadistic and literate participants.
