  1. Thanks much! I found it at this location just now I had tried an area search last night, to see if it had gone into the air again, but I must have missed it in the list of items returned by the search last night.
  2. I've been out there to the snowball park bridge twice this evening, and the gift box was not on the bridge either time.
  3. Wear the Tweenster HUD that came in the folder with the Tweenster body items. Click on the "alpha cuts" icon, and then either just click on the shoulder area slices, or use the button that says "all arms" which will alpha out all of both arms.
  4. I have "adult" unchecked, being a child avie, but it didn't take me too long after doing that to be able to recognize when a TP didn't complete due to it being an "A" rated parcel. Hopefully avies that have been here long enough to have started with week 1 of the hunt have had enough experience to be able to recognize and remedy that issue. Figuring that the location for the hunt would be a public (linden owned) location, and that except for one time, the gift crystal was always in sight from the landing point, I changed my access preferences, TP'd in, quickly clicked and accepted the gift, then TP'd right back out.
  5. There is some maintenance being done on the Second Life Cashier system right at this time. However, if you did not get far enough in the process to have the cashier screen display that message, then look at the questions that Rolig asked in her response to you.
  6. KammyKat, if you haven't already, try asking in the "TWEENSTER - Meshmerized" group inworld. That's usually a responsive group, and I know I've seen mention of mesh heads used on Tweensters in the group chat from time to time.
  7. It took me quite awhile when I first started to realize that different creators were all using some of the same templates. I noticed it first in the medieval/fantasy dress line, because that's what I was around most initially. I really noticed it recently, with clothes for the Tweenster body and the Tonic body. It doesn't bother me. In fact, with the Tweenster girl clothing, it's interesting to see note of something new released as a template by one of the full-perm template creators, then go around to all the stores seeing how the various creators have used it. I have quite a few girl clothes all based on the same template, but all looking different in terms of textures, etc. My friend with the Tonic body has noticed an increase in a larger variety of clothing styles being offered for Tonic bodies in the last six months or so, and many (most all) clearly are from a templates, but she is grateful for that. With all of the different mesh bodies out there now, plus the standard sizes for system bodies, I can see why more creators would be turning to templates.
  8. My auntie (primary account) is never home when I am, and she lets me wander the grid by myself. Fortunately, we have been able to evade being reported to Child Protection Services so far.
  9. I play as a child inworld, generally as a 5 year old, but sometimes as an older child around 9 or so. When I play as an older child I generally wear the Tweenster body, which I really like a lot.
  10. Phone support is only available for billing related issues. 11. You probably want to remove your email and the phone number from your posting... this is a resident-to-resident help forum about how SL works, not a LL customer support area. I'm a little confused about your question... are you saying that you are trying to log into the SL viewer and are being asked for a phone number? or are you trying to create a support ticket and being asked for a phone number? I would suggest looking at where you are trying to log in and make sure you are on a valid site, not a phising site. What type of problem are you having with logging in? If you can provide some details, someone here may have some suggestions for the type of problem you're experiencing. ETA: You can edit your question to provide more information by clicking on "options" in the upper right hand corner of your post and choosing "Edit..."
  12. First, this is a resident-to-resident help area, where residents answer other residents questions about how Second Life works, so there wouldn't be anyone answering here who would have the type of information you are asking about. Second, I'm fairly certain that Linden Lab would not provide any information about if or why an avatar was banned to anyone other than the avatar in question. I was under the impression (but could be wrong) that Linden Lab sends an email when someone is banned. Is your friend still using the same email account that they have listed in their account information here? Have they checked their spam or junk folder in for their email? I would also hazard a guess that the person may in fact have some idea about why they were banned. As far as I know, it's generally some type of serious TOS violation that leads to bans.
  13. Wow! I'm glad I decided to stop in here tonight. First, I appreciated the response made by LL on the immigration executive order. Second, thanks to Callum and Rya for the additional information regarding the other side of the story on Australia and the refugee situation - that helps fill out the bigger picture for me.
  14. Additionally, your PayPal account itself (within PayPal) needs to be a verified PayPal account. If you PayPal account is not verified, you can search in PayPal for instructions about how to verify it.
  15. In addition to the other responses, there is at least one land company who will put a parcel of mainland up for sale, and also have a rental box on the land. In that case, you can either rent the land from them (and they remove the land from being for sale while you are renting) or you can choose to buy the land, in which case after the purchase, you just pay monthly tier to Linden Lab based on the amount of mainland property than you own.
  16. Is it just when you wear the mesh body that you don't appear? Do you appear OK when wearing a classic avatar? (You should be able to choose one for testing by going to Me -> Choose Avatar on the screen menu). If it is only with the mesh avatar that you don't see yourself, perhaps you are missing wearing a needed part? I don't have a mesh avatar, but I think that it overlays (covers up) the original classic body/skin. Are you wearing a skin that has appliers for the mesh body that you are using? I'm not sure what you're trying to do and not being able to do with returning Second Life to an original state. There is usually a button on the graphics tab in Preferences for returning to the recommended settings (which may vary from user to user because they are based on what the viewer knows about your graphics card). The other part about returning to an original state I guess would be to return to using a classic avatar, and then re-trying applying the mesh body. Viewer settings don't automatically carry over from one viewer to another, as far as I know, but any changes you've made to your avatar itself, do remain no matter which viewer you are using.
  17. You Linden Home should be showing 175 prim allowance. The increase in our Linden Homes for my friends and I showed up when the announcements were first made and the change was done to mainland prim allowances. So, if you're not seeing 175, definitely contact Live Chat.
  18. The typing indication in the bubble or nametag that is above an avatar is, in Firestorm anyway, a preference that a user can set or unset. You might have your friend look at the preference settings in their phone app and see whether or not that is something that is available in that viewer, and if it is, whether or not they have it turned off.
  19. Did you do an Instant (Market) buy or did you do a Best Rate (Limit) buy? The Lindex is an exchange, matching up buy and sell orders. If you did a Limit buy and specified a rate that is far from the rates that sellers are asking for, that is actually an order to buy, rather than an instent buy, and it could take a very long time (or never) for the order to complete. You can cancel a Limit buy and have your money returned to your USD balance, which can then be used to do an Instant buy. To cancel a limit buy, go to secondlife.com --> LindeX --> Manage --> Linden Order History and then cancel the order.
  20. Hi, this is not mainland - it is on a themed private estate. It should probably go in the "Regions for Rent - Full Private Island" category (or the Rental Regions: Homestead if it is in fact a homestead sim). There are some major differences between buying mainland and 'buying' from estate sims, two of which are the covenant (none on a mainland parcel) and who the monthly tier is paid to (and how that tier amount is determined).
  21. Regarding the high avatar load, it could very well be due to particular things you are wearing, and I think one of the culprits could be some of the older hair. To figure out what thing(s) are causing the high number, you could take everything off, including hair, and then add things back one at a time, checking the avatar complexity number after each item is added back. If you go to the advanced menu --> performance tools, there will be an item there that you can select which will display your avatar complexity number all the time. I use this when I'm trying a lot of different things, because sometimes I miss it when it just flashes on the screen for a moment or two. After you find out what might be causing the high number, then you can turn it back off, so that it will only display when there is a change to it. Not everything that is new will necessarily be lower, so as you try demos of things, you can check what the demo item does with the complexity number and decide whether or not it's in a range that you like before you purchase an item. The change you see with a demo might not be exactly what the purchased item will come in at, but it should be somewhere in the ballpark. Have fun with finding an updated look!
  22. If you have one of the Intel HD graphics chipsets, and use firestorm, you might want to take a look at http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_intel_fix_32bit and see if that helps any.
