  1. I would suggest seeing if there is an in-world group for those avi's, and if so, joining it and asking in the group about clothing availability.
  2. I wear mesh hair, Slink hands and feet, often wear mesh clothes, but hadn't felt the need to get a mesh body. I'm pretty satisfied with the skin that I have, and don't hang out at places where I wouldn't be wearing any clothes, so that eliminated some of the reasons I'd heard for getting a mesh body. I also have some non-mesh clothes that I still like to wear at times, as well. Several weeks ago I decided to get a petite sized avatar... for when I'm feeling fae ... and now I have a petite sized mesh body, with a bento head and bento hands. So, I've dipped my toe into the water, so to speak. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to look for a mesh body for when I'm more normal sized or not yet. I haven't felt pressured yet, or felt any need in terms of not being able to find clothing or accessories for my system body. When I do buy mesh clothes that come with mesh body specific versions as well as the standard sizes, I do keep all of them - I just stick them in an 'extras' folder for the item, so if I do choose to move to a mesh body, I'll already have clothes that I'll be able to wear (I think, anyway)
  3. ,You would need to make sure you have enough available in your tier level. He would (on the group profile) go to the land tab and remove his tier donation. You would go to the land tab and increase your tier donation. If he drops his first, there will be a message that tier donations need to be increased - this should be OK as long as you are going in right away and increasing your donation. Or you could increase your donation amount first, then he could remove his second.
  4. I used the "being able to change your premium house 5x a day" feature to be able to test-drive a house choice - see what it was actually like walking around inside, etc - until I found one I thought had the best interior layout for me, and then I started furnishing it.
  5. I was drinking coffee, but would forget about it and I can't stand cold coffee. Lately I've been drinking hot tea with honey (which is still good even when luke-warm). As far as eating, whatever I have on hand and feel like having, though I tend to stay away from things that will make my fingers too greasy, or will get too many crumbs on the desk

    Ugh

Very likely. I can't figure out why one would want to customize their 'character' if they were not planning on downloading a viewer.
  7. There was a discussion in forum feedback, and Tommy Linden indicated the edit limit would be changed to 60 minutes. https://community.secondlife.com/forums/topic/400142-edit-cut-off-is-a-bit-quick-to-say-the-least/?do=findComment&comment=1615668 There are a lot of changes to get used to.
  8. Emmy, 'Nimue' is the region name in that example. You can do the equivalent of 'sticking a pin in the map' and TP'ing there. Though, you may get mixed results - some people have ban lines up or have security orbs which keep others from landing on their property. Many of the mainland (the big blocks of connected sims) have roads on them which are public so you don't have to worry about ban lines, orbs, etc. Often when I want to explore on a mainland continent, I'll look for a road on the map and land on it, then I'll head out from there where I can see what I'm getting into. When I first started, I used the destination guide from the dashboard frequently to find places to go to. When you find a place you like, landmark it, and over time you'll have a nice collection of landmarks for places
  9. It may be not enabled initially by default - this is my first login to the new forum, and it was not enabled for me. (Not a complaint - just noting it).
  10. I love landscaping around my houses, but don't have the best graphics abilitiies, so it's nice to see landscaping that looks nice while still being low lag.
  11. I just wanted to add an additional word of caution. If she was wearing the 'strange AO' that was doing the spamming, then, yes, she would be responsible for the spamming. Exercise caution with unexpected gifts from people you are not familiar with, especially when it is something that your avatar would wear.
  12. Something named with my first name would certainly would catch my attention, especially if I was browsing through a lot of items in the MP. So far I haven't come across anything with the same name. I don't think that I would be more inclined to buy it just because of the name. I did find a hair style once that was the same length and style (wavy curls) as mine, which was interesting. The first thing that popped into my mind when I saw it was "That's my hair!". I did not buy it outright, but did try a demo version. I didn't like the way it looked on the avi, so passed on buying it, which really was fine, because it was never my intention to 'recreate' my own self in avi form, in terms of looks.
  13. I have mine set to show both display name and user name. I like the idea of just showing them briefly - I hadn't considered that before, but think I will give that a try now.
  14. The 25L Tuesday group is also a good resource for that type of clothing. There is usually a couple of stores each week that will have something similar to that style for 25$L. You can search groups for "25L Tuesdays Connection" to join. You can also see http://www.25ltuesdays.com for more info.
