goals for the business have to be Reduce Costs Increase revenue grow the user base grow the bottom line Its a fine balance getting there though Reduce cost- going to the cloud should help with that Increase revenue-pricing balance (tricky) grow the user base- add new features and reasons for people to become premium (Bellissaria is a good example) reducing land costs are all part of it grow the bottom line - Hopefully increasing offers and making the platform more stable will help accomplish this For me, I would reduce some of the land areas (continents) , perhaps push them closer together to make them sailable/flyable. eliminate some of the lesser used continents and perhaps later add new ones as demand increased (Sharp/Gaeta 1 come to mind) realizing there are folks that own land there, they would have to come up with suitable options to appease them as much as possible

in the past I have reacted swiftly and emotionally to these types of things. I am taking a moment to take a breath. Not all of the information is out yet and I dont want to react with raw emotion until I have a chance to digest it all. Im not leaving SL, that I can guarantee. I am here to be with people that mean alot to me. I just dont know yet what level I will be. I'll figure that out in time, But SL is so stuck with me!

its a tough decision for LL to make, they have a lot to consider pricing, they have increased costs and they want to pay their people well too to keep them around (they are located on California, not the cheapest place to have an office) keeping the customers happy. a Price increase isn't going to make anyone happy of course, but shutting SL down is going to make a lot more folks unhappy we don't know what their costs are, they have to balance it to make money and make it worth their while, It isn't a charity after all. I don't relish the increased costs for sure, but I do understand it.

I have 2 premium accounts , not going to renew early. I am very interested in this part: Even more improvements to Premium Membership are coming later this year: more new Linden Home themes and options as well as the introduction of an all-new membership level for those who want to get the absolute most out of their Second Life. Look out for updates to Events and more limit increases as well. Perhaps having 1 and paying a bit more may get something worthwhile and wont need 2 Time will tell. If not, I will just go to one premium, i don't need two

(ii) Post or transmit unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, or promotional materials, that are in the nature of "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of solicitation that Linden Lab considers to be of such nature; I personally cant stand it , i have never filed an abuse report but maybe that would stop it. I get it from events, stores and singers. I NEVER subscribe to a list so I know for a fact I didn't add myself. Sometimes, the "person" that sends it says "if you have received unsolicited advertising , please send me a notecard with 'remove' on it and you will be removed from the list as soon as possible" I have a better idea, how about not angering your customers and making us do extra work to be removed from your spam! LL knows about the house. The creator invited people to see it right here on the forums with SLURL to it. If it is still standing the way it is, I assume they are just fine with it. Nothing was hidden by the creator. If it bothers anyone that bad, do an AR on it and let LL decide but i doubt that's the point. My guess is this thread was simply created to create discussion and not really to toss a creator under the bus. (looking at the initial picture that was posted here).

it's a good starting point anyway, this might be how they are going to fulfill what Patch said "as time goes on we will get more out, and hopefully faster.". I'm certain there will have to be adjustments but if a few of these templates are sprinkled in, it could really speed up the process for the next release

looks like the next areas are being placed SSP 217,233,246,262,295 and 311. They seem to be an exact match for SSP151 which on Bellisseria is Princess Caroline region. My guess is they have some regions they will duplicate and mix up a bit enough that it does not look cookie cutter. That should make for a quicker deployment of new areas. Beach areas will require customization so those will take a bit longer but may as well build on what ya have already for interior regions.

there are several reasons 1. It's New and Shiny (the place to be) 2. It's done really well! If you have a previous Linden Home, there is no comparison at all 3. There is a great sense of community there 4. Affordable waterfront property! 5. No ban lines! 6+ a million more reasons I'm sure folks will expand on

They could very easily with minor changes. We know its the same size as the green pickle however LL said they wont do that as they want uniqueness.

There comes a time when excitement and anticipation turns to frustration, then turns to apathy. Its a different threshold for everyone, but I see the anticipation becoming frustration. We live in an instant gratification world, its hard to be patient for many.

I saw this in a group chat and i thought it would be worth mentioning here Bellisseria doesnt not look like it is going to be big enough when completed. Looking at all the green dots at the old Linden homes and added interest with the new Linden Homes there will need to be more area. There are 3 unfinished continents I know of, how about adding the Linden homes there? Zindra , adding Adult rated Linden homes Sharp(former teen grid), Adding G Rated Linden homes Gaeta 1, Adding M rated Linden homes This would finish those areas that have admittedly been a bit of a pet peeve of mine and add Linden homes with various ratings according to likes. Houseboats could even be added to them as well for those that prefer that since there is plenty of coastal area to be had if expanded/finished. i know, first things first and let them finish Bellisseria

i haven't messed with eyelashes/eyebrows for men, any suggestions there? Something seems "off" about him and i cant put my finger on it

I have a male avi that i use for pictures. Currently he has Catwa Dude Head, Birth Carlos (04) skin (sorta tan) and Geralt Body. he looks okay. not as good as i had hoped with this pricey combo but adequate for what I need him for . currently I am having trouble finding hair for him. there does not seem to be a lot of places that specialize in Men's hair or at least I cant find them. Where do y'all shop for good quality men's hair? BTW, i think he would look alright with just a hairbase but i can see the seams on the head unless i pan in close. I'm really open to suggestions for anything else to improve his looks

This may not be related to your issue but others may find it helpful. When i have a hard time rezzing stuff it is often because I'm trying to place it on a mesh surface. I rez a prim, flatten it out and rez it on there. That works almost all the time.
