Don't be fooled by your understanding of "game" (because Second Life isn't intented to be a game and doesn't work like your average game at all). Of course, the software was created over 10 years ago, but why does that mean its supposed to be super easy? Because...that would mean flying an aircraft from WW2 would be super easy and manageable without training too, because its old.
And compareing it to Skyrim...well I'm not familiar with modding in Skyrim, but its a game thats 1.) offline singleplayer 2.) entirely made by professionals. Second Life is an online environment and all content is made by random people, who are not always professionals...that SL has to reload everything constantly because of its nature of a changeable environment is just an additional burden.
But well, lets come to your original question....
What you consider easy will depend on two things: Your skills and what you are planning to do. So what do you want to make? Textures? Scripts? Animations? Objects (prim, sculpt, mesh)?
thinking cat ears and possibly shorter than 90 cm shape
im not exactly artistic so hopefully both of these are easy pull off cuz ones just two triangles on a circleular shape and other just scaled down versions of already existing models ?
