Has anyone else noticed the B[xxxx] accounts?
kalamityjane replied to Jules Catlyn's topic in General Discussion Forum
Already tested just that and yes 96 follows even if we go seperate ways to never visited places (this of course after revoking premission, making sure no untrusted attachments are worn, and so forth to clear off any tracking scripts). 90 seems to haunt the SL drive and so it's appearances can be explained and don't feel as targeted. Since being banned, 96 is appearing in places that we usually do NOT frequent. These appearances are always only moments after we arrive on a sim, staying remaining only a few seconds and poof. Also, always happening during a certain time frame of night when it is completely unpredictable where we might be if not on our sim. When 'she' spoke us on our sim 'she' communicated information about us to us that has only been shared with only one individual on the grid, whom was named in our abuse complaints. So, Yes AR's have been filed, to no effect yet, the shadowing has since increased not decreased. I agree that it doubtful that 96 is a hacker however I won't rule it out. I suspect the person we suspect created a copycat to mess with us, knowing that one of us was already being stalked by 90. However, since this is an ongoing problem and the shadowing by these accounts is a common complaint, I still feel that this might indeed by something more than simple random encounters with bots, and that our problems might be connected with the other stalking reports. Good valid responses, thank you. I agree with everything expressed and hope that the 'it's just bots or an alt of someone who's pissed at you' theories are true. My purpose here is to simply inform that this problem has not vanished since August and to add our experiences to those others expressed. -

This problem is still going on. 90 was stalking a friend of mine and got banned from our region for it. Then 96 appeared claiming to have once had a home on our region. Eventually she claimed to have our IP addies and that she would stalk us and that there was nothing we could do about it. Of course this got her banned and blocked. However, since been appearing at very diverse locations we have visited. A concert last night, the SL Drive last weekend, various stores last week. I am highly concerned that these appearances are not just by chance and that he is actually able to stalk avi's (hacking the server?). I would like it very much if the Lindens would take some action on whoever is behind these accounts. -
What an amazingly digressed thread, no surprise it's been dead for a year. I probably should OP a new topic but I noticed some learned minds conversing here and often ancient threads attract ancient opinionators. (Thanks for the Grammar Vid btw). So climbing all the way up out of the mire to look back at the op question of what is Dullahan, that's answered in the links offered. Basically it's added software, a 'headless browser' to your viewer that enables your SL viewer to act as a browser, and appears to be active even if you have selected us default browser instead of firestorm. Beyond that it's also something that can be homemade into allot of various special applications outside of what we are being told is the purpose for it in Firestorm. I've know it have issues such as having it breed like rabbits on your task manager lists, seeing upto 15 Dullahan hosts working at a time and no one ever seems to actually come out with any explanations about the hows and why's of what's going. One thing we do know is often you can end these tasks, or delete dullahan and nothing bad happens... smells like spyware donit? That brings us to some new behavior as of this springs new firestorm update I'd like to ask about. Due to some concerns over the growing number of analytics embedded in everything from your AMD graphics card, your windows itself, to that camera perched at the main entrance of your local Walmart. I recently increased the check level of my firewall from application default to manual permissions. That's when Dullahan (from the firestorm directory) asked for permission to get out of the box at logon. Firestorm is NOT on my startup and has no services associated to start up so why is a piece of it wanting to shake hands with somebody somewhere that moment I log on? Sure that's normal, lots of apps do that until told not to or blocked, it's basic usage analytics. But after being told no. That's when the really Odd behavior starts... I go to use my browser still having NOT turned on my viewer and low and behold Dullahan is again asking out. With spyware level repetition, knocking on the door every few seconds. I tell it no again, and again, finally making my no permanent. Here's where things get really sketchy... Now Firefox will not surf... black screen... check a few things, try a few others... Firefox starts, but where the webpages should appear, blackness. Nope still black screen... without giving Dullahan permission to send data while I surf my Browser is not going to work. Just to makes sure, restart... ok Dullahan.. firefox works fine... check if dullahan is running... hmmmm... is hidden.. no where to be seen... restart... block dullahan... check if it's in task man nope... services? nope... it's no running but it is... hmmmm.... Try Firefox... back to black screen.... Check for same behavior with Bing, same behavior... Uninstall Firestorm... no surprise Firefox now working normally. Many questions arise... For what purpose other than tracking my Browser usage would Dullahan need to communicate through my firewall when my Viewer not firestorm is not running? Why can I see it when I launch my viewer, but it's hiding when doing these other things like pinging my firewall and interrupting my browser? What functions is this version on Dullahan doing that so obviously has nothing to do with SL and everything do to everything else I do online? This is very sketchy behavior to me that is NEW as of the latest update to EEP. Dullahan never behaved this way before... So like most free things is Firestorm now Spyware? Anyone else seeing this? Thoughts???

is it my bad internet or my computer causing my frames to drop?
kalamityjane replied to Rumancekk's question in Technical
Allot of Firestorm users whom recently upgraded have reported a recent drop in FPS, the firestorm wiki has details. Usually the better FPS you had, the larger the drop you get and usually FPS over 50 most affected accordingly with drops to below 50 rare. The 'culprit' is EEP. Apparently the effects are different depending on your graphics card and updating your drivers is suggested if the drop is catastophic. Apparently Laggy Sims that bog out at 10FPS are still laggy sims bogging out at 10FPS, but 'quiet' sims where most current 'gaming' rigs run at 100FPS+ (unless you have your firestorm governed at 50 like mine) players are reporting 50-70 FPS. Thing is... anything above 46 is meaningless as regions in SL are limited to 46FPS. So if you get a FPS above 50 anyway you really should govern that to 50 to save your rig from heat and workload as your not seeing anything better on your screen as you would if you were paying Grand Theft Auto that runs at a much higher FPS. Additionally your FPS won't spike and your won't have drop freeze as often when your governed. -
How to see what scripts are running on me?
kalamityjane replied to LittleMe Jewell's question in Technical
A wonderful solution is go to Avatar -> Avatar Health -> Scripts :) It gives you a list including size, urls, name of object and location. Unlike using area search that only lists the scripts of objects inworld, this list also includes your HUD's. Commonly your Head Customization HUD will be the biggest culprit for number and size of scripts, then your Body Hud, some sexual animation huds and gaming HUD's can be bad especially if they are old (Scan scripting ((Vampire HUDs)) being the worst at creating lag for everyone). As a personal pic about auto eviction for scripts especially as scripts is small lag compared to complexity and render load. I fail to see why so many RP sims often require a combat HUD and then have such low script limits that you can use little else once you add their HUD and any weapons to your Mesh Avi. Forcing us to abandon all our other huds that make RP'ing worth while, especially if your rocking a mesh avatar along with it's facial ani hud and all that. I even found one place that once you had two guns and their combat system on you would get warnings to lower your count. Then they have no limits on complexity where the real lag comes from. Might as well make your RP Region system avi's only. -
I think your just shrilling with this thread for RLC. Really this is SL who cares how they limit nudity to paying customers on some sex game? Nudity in SL is so much more than sex, and proposing that somehow we force anyone not currently (so to heck with the thousands of players that had memberships and might again) rocking a membership to have to go back to the old default system avi's with under-ware printed on their skin (as almost all mesh bodies are nudes), then remove the right to change skin or own mesh bodies to members only... would only mean that you could probably be the one to turn the lights out after everyone has migrated to another grid. However since I believe your just advertising for RLC that's probably what you want to see happen.

I've done everything I can think off. Cleaned the caches (inculding manually from windows), done clean instals, still I cannot post to my profile feed. Yet I can log in on either of my two other computers and it posts pics to my profile just fine. Firewalls etc. not the issue all three computers are the same software and settings. How can I fix this?
