I got a friend request from a person I didn't recognize a few years back on Facebook. I thought the name rang a bell, but I couldn't place it, so I did a quick Google search and found that it was the singer from one of my absolute favorite bands at the time (not very big, t'was in the Steampunk scene). We've since gotten quite good friends, and he sometimes gives me preview samples of what he's working on.

Ever since I made the swap from Catwa to Genus, I've missed having my eyebrows pierced. Even back then, however, the only eyebrow piercing that I found was Catwa's own one as part of the 'facial bento piercing' set. I've spoken to some creators in the past, who have seemed very positive about creating something such, but nothing ever seem to become of it. So I'm either looking for tips on where one might find eyebrow piercings for Genus heads (bento rigged ones, as I'm an avid eyebrow wiggler!), or for someone who could either make some, or rig a pair (I should be able to mesh and texture a simple barbell piercing!).

Asking which head you should get, is a little bit like asking what you should have for dinner; it's a matter of taste. Catwa heads are excellent, as they are easy to use and has a lot of creators making stuff for it. It's your Maitreya of heads, in a way. They do have a lot of variety, so you'd have to try them out to see which you like the best - Catya is the 'go-to' for most people, and is as far as I can tell the one with the most support. Some heads don't get as much bento jewelry rigged for it, such as the one I have for my alt, Eva. Genus are probably the most photogenic heads, and thus my favourite; they're high poly enough that they never look squared or edgy, and whilst they don't have anywhere near the back catalog of rigged releases for bento jewelry that some of the more popular Catwa heads do (although depending on your style, this might not be an issue). Most creators these days do rig for Genus heads as well, and there are already countless skins, makeup appliers and stuff. Both brands are also Omega compatible; they don't come with it out of the box, but you can get relays or installers on the market. I've yet to hear whether (or when) either brand is going to move into BoM, but I expect that both will eventually do so.

My father is the kind of man who will lift a biker right off the bike at the scruff of their neck when they ride down the pavement. He's the kind of guy who finds a mobile phone or a wallet, and opens it to find 'mom' or 'darling' in the address book, or some form of identification, so that he can call them to let them know what he found the phone and that he'd like to make sure that it gets back to its owner. He's the kind of guy who will stop the car when approaching an accident, and get out to make sure that everyone is all right and that help is called for. He's the kind of guy who gets everyday hero awards in the newspapers, and then puts the cut-out in a drawer with no intention of ever showing it to anyone else (until his curious son digs it up in search for adventure and asks what it is). He's the guy who, despite being a single father, would never hesitate to pull back from work to come along on school trips as a chaperone, who every kid in every class my sister or I ever went in knew as the guy who would never let anyone be left behind, who made sure that everyone got home safely. It may be that I've gotten to watch him do all those things in person, but I never saw any other man with the amount of moral courage to match him. My grandfather on my mother's side was a great man. Everyone who ever met him respected him, not only because of his social status or profession, but because he was quick to befriend and generous to his friends. He had a temperament, but he never let it out on anyone unjustly. He was big and strong, and adored his firstborn grandson as if I were the son he'd never had. He spoiled me with affection, and always knew how to make me laugh, and taught me how to be a gentleman. He led an interesting life, and even had a Nobel prize diploma on his wall for his services to the UN, and I always loved it when he told me about the places he'd gone and the experiences he'd had.

.. Oh, right, thread. Looks at the title and the first post. Welcome back! I wouldn't bother too much about the avatar - it's usually a long process getting it to what you want it to be. I did gloss over your in-world profile and found it rather empty; perhaps if you were to mention a few interests or such, there'd be a bit more incentive to contact you? You're more than welcome to give me a nudge in-world if you like, although I'm no 'weeb', myself.

Left, if any. I do try to have a good ergonomic posture whilst writing, so I tend to sit straight (or slightly leaned forward) but I also do most of my calligraphy as in-between things to do in the workshop. Whenever my work piece goes into press, and I have nothing else I can do to it, I just turn my chair around to my other workbench - got one for the bookbinding, and one for the calligraphy.

I've tried them, but it didn't turn out great. And the pen angle of most Uncial scripts feels so weird to me!

Random Orwarian Trivia: Once got stopped by a policeman, who held my friends and myself up with a gun - because one of them put up a 'roadwork in progress' sign that had fallen over. So much for being good citizens! Recently changed my FB profile picture, and got the comment 'You look dangerous!'. From my own mother. Attended Sunday school. Once. Got kicked out for talking dirty to a nun. I was 8. Only have attended one live concert in my life. Meat Loaf. Writes longhand (several styles), Maximillian fraktur, Chancery, Textura Quadrata and my own innovative 'Orwarian semi-fraktur'. But can't write 'type' (my signature is more legible than my print signature). Somehow got an MVG (then-highest grade possible) in art. Never figured out how that happened. Can trace my ancestry back to before Christianity came my birthplace (1100's). Viking heritage confirmed! On that note, I can also read and write runic script (younger & modern Futhark) fluently. Introvert, not shy.

Because Second Life offers people to be who they want to be, and explore things which perhaps they can't in real life? I don't see in what way that is related to the topic itself though; the BDSM scene, as most others, also appears to have a shortage of men. What it looks like in Gor, I have no idea.
