This thread’s gone way off topic; I’m waiting on news about P+ homes and keep checking in to see talk of lights and taxes.

Why didn't I have a company over to install a new roof before the material prices went crazy? Why didn't I throw out and tidy up the attic and just call a contractor before I got chronic pain? I do not want strangers to judge me because of clutter.
Same. Same same same. *nods* You're not the only one.
But, that's life That's just life. It's ok to have a Second one that goes more smoothly than the First one, especially where houses and house - inventory are all concerned.

There's a reason for (my) life; but I don't know if there's a purpose for (my) life. The reason is obvious; things just multiplied, either joyfully or by some other compulsion-irresistible. But as for purpose, I feel like I would be mortified to realize I had a purpose dictated by someone else.
If someone else decided that I had a "purpose" for being here, that I was born only for one reason only to do one thing, whether or not I approved -- I would feel a load of resentment I wouldn't know what to do with. Imagine finding out that your "purpose" for being here was, like, "insurance" for someone else; that you are a clone for kidneys' sake; that you are the great scapegoat sacrifice used as salvation for a village. No thanks; I'm not interested in having a purpose put upon me. Knowing the reason I am here is sufficient

Thank you all for the answers.
Mainland tier I do know how it works, I have mainland since 2007, LH not so well, I must admit that only recently I took real notice of them (the first ones to be released I did not like at all). I have mainland that I don't want to let go and I needed to be sure before increasing my tier with more 1024.
It will be just for some months, as I said, I'm hoping for an increase in tier with premium plus, and by then I want to be sure If I want a LH or not. In the process also have a good look at the houses available now.
I can confirm that you can own mainland first, THEN tier-up an extra 1024, THEN start looking for a Linden Home, while still keeping your mainland plot, all in that order

So pretty! Where are those cute kites from?
They are a group gift! They are highly customizable; many patterns to choose from, and I think you will enjoy them a great deal. I love them; it feels to me as though they wave at the trains as trains go by.

What an outstanding photograph! The vibe from this house is beautiful, so happily situated with so much interesting water-stuff to look at. Boats, lighthouse, waterways, trees, a beautiful big sky.

Beautiful! If people feel like sharing, I always love to hear what regions these lovely spots are in.
My happy beach house is on Yuge. Increase the draw distance and I can watch everybody dancing at the Fairgrounds! I had to increase my tier for this and it became so very well worth it. My partner has been longing for a beach house for reasons of early SL nostalgia and this fits the bill brilliantly. Some feel good vibes for as long as this is sustainable 👍

The doorknobs are at hand-height! The doorknobs are at hand-height! SOOOO excited about the doorknobs at hand-height Everything is to scale. The rooms are the right size. The floor to ceiling windows are bright and happy. The colour blue of the walls is a wonderful colour blue. I can't wait to decorate one of these for myself ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

If I had 7000 unused prims, I would start an event.
- monthly- themed for something under-represented in the Resident community and specific
- not just shopping related but information-accessible and informative and participatory as well (ie generate interest and presence in the region even if not spending money)
- can cycle through 12 interesting facets of one major theme (ie Specialized Ornaments of the Human Form — January is shoes month, February is jewelled chains month... )
- get people involved who do it for Tips, not salary (advertising and promotion, infrastructure, munches coordination, artists wrangling...) ie who do it for love of the experience and passion for the topic rather than livelihood and bills paying
I think about this a lot 😁 What would I do with 7000 prims! I could spam this thread for days with different ideas. I’ll stop at this one.

For those interested, this is the town of Giethoorn in the Netherlands. The main (but not not sole) mode of transportation is by boat.
Here's a link in case you or someone else hope to one day visit the town 🙂https://giethoorntourism.com/
And another good link: https://tassiedevilabroad.com/truth-about-visiting-giethoorn/Thank you very much!

Do you remember the Low Li curtains thread? Even with 1 Li curtains, it will be over 20 Li for a house. I think the Hardy has 27! I was counting the windows, can't remember the number 100% , but it was over 20.
So, if you could make a rough model of the rooms with prims when we get houses, and place the curtains as they will be for each window, and join them in Blender before upload, would that not be lower Li? A room with 6 windows, could that be 2-3 Li if the curtains was joined?
It would have to be sold only for these houses, since the curtains can't be unlinked.
The windows in the round and octagonal turrets, how about a premade set for them at least?
I was reading about making curtains in Blender (augh) I am not in the mood for really trying to learn it....
I don’t mind leaving windows un-curtained. If the decor is right, the windows can remain nice and open as this:

I did the opposite of what Bellisseria was intended for and eschewed it for many months in favour of Mainland living.
Eventually in the autumn, when houses became more plentiful and people were abandoning them in search of newer releases more readily, I claimed a Traditional; and another; and another til I found my forever home in Donovan along the canal. I enjoy life in Bellisseria; it’s not a starter home but a retirement home, as people have suggested along the way over the months. I am a converted Mainlander.
Giving up the canalside jewel for a Victorian, do I dare, do I dare... The decks are perfect; the landscaping is magnificent; but the canalside feeling is hard to leave.
And it is all about the feeling of the place, after all. Virtual living is all about the feels. Nostalgia, hope, excitement, the feels getcha every time.

I would select, if I had the choice, a house on the water; instead of roads, waterways like these houses in Holland.
Or something that feels like living in Venice.
Or something that feels like living in one’s Personal Chateau.
But my first choice will always be “on the water somehow,” be it canalside or riverside or lakeside... seaside... ❤️- 9

2: Scylla Rhiadra: This one is a little less obvious. Scylla and I are pretty far apart on most political and social issues (at least we were years ago) and one day she challenged my stance on abortion rights by arguing for them mostly from a conservative (ie. my) point of view. She made me realize that I had established positions on important issues without a sound foundation of values and beliefs from which to logically establish consistent and valid opinions. As a result I reexamined the fundamentals of my beliefs and drew some very different conclusions on positions on several subjects, and any time I come across some new controversial subject, I follow that process rather than taking a knee-jerk "well, good little conservatives take this position" stance.
Scylla is ROYALTY to me, and I read every syllable I can find of hers and that is something I enjoy doing in my RL.
She changed my idea of what online debate can be; what forums are actually good for; why it’s worth showing up.
Hi Scylla! Look at you, changing lives and minds and views everywhere you go. I hope you feel as good as you make others feel.Great topic, Tolya.

Congrats on the catch! That's my old house (as of 2 houses ago). Great location and ideal for @Nika Talaj's personal rez zone script (found here) to move your own boat outside in the channel as I used to and go sailing along the Panamole Canal as well as surrounding areas - even to Campwich Forest and Lodge. Enjoy your forever home and congrats again! 👍😁❤️
You left the house in great condition, all cleaned and swept and fresh-smelling ❤️ I simply couldn't be happier with this jewel on the canal.

Very nice curtains, I like the folds so much, and that they don't puddle on the floor like all the "drapes". Where are the curtains and the table from?
And so good landscaping! Very lucky that you got that long, pretty fence, and how lovely with the tree and flowers in between it and the hedge. I do not like LH fence "stubs" so much. I find them hard to combine with other fences. And the LH fence is so high Li.

I'm looking at Puffin Head in these shots. Not new, but new to me and very exciting!

Beautiful Abandons
in Linden Homes

A few unsuccessful attempts to get the houses I thought I wanted led me to this magnificent Traditional house in West End. Whoever let this one go, thank you so much! This is a truly beautiful abandon. Sometimes not getting what you want is a good thing because what you really want is just around the corner. So grateful, thank you!
