  1. A few unsuccessful attempts to get the houses I thought I wanted led me to this magnificent Traditional house in West End. Whoever let this one go, thank you so much! This is a truly beautiful abandon. Sometimes not getting what you want is a good thing because what you really want is just around the corner. So grateful, thank you!
  2. This thread’s gone way off topic; I’m waiting on news about P+ homes and keep checking in to see talk of lights and taxes.
  3. Same. Same same same. *nods* You're not the only one. But, that's life That's just life. It's ok to have a Second one that goes more smoothly than the First one, especially where houses and house - inventory are all concerned.
  4. ?? I don’t think you’re alive? I think that everybody who is alive is alive.
  5. There's a reason for (my) life; but I don't know if there's a purpose for (my) life. The reason is obvious; things just multiplied, either joyfully or by some other compulsion-irresistible. But as for purpose, I feel like I would be mortified to realize I had a purpose dictated by someone else. If someone else decided that I had a "purpose" for being here, that I was born only for one reason only to do one thing, whether or not I approved -- I would feel a load of resentment I wouldn't know what to do with. Imagine finding out that your "purpose" for being here was, like, "insurance" for someone else; that you are a clone for kidneys' sake; that you are the great scapegoat sacrifice used as salvation for a village. No thanks; I'm not interested in having a purpose put upon me. Knowing the reason I am here is sufficient
  6. Impossible to get bored with these pictures, SO BEAUTIFUL
  7. I can confirm that you can own mainland first, THEN tier-up an extra 1024, THEN start looking for a Linden Home, while still keeping your mainland plot, all in that order
  8. They are a group gift! They are highly customizable; many patterns to choose from, and I think you will enjoy them a great deal. I love them; it feels to me as though they wave at the trains as trains go by. 8f8 - Driftwood II - Let me go Kite GROUP GIFT
  9. What an outstanding photograph! The vibe from this house is beautiful, so happily situated with so much interesting water-stuff to look at. Boats, lighthouse, waterways, trees, a beautiful big sky.
  10. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Lunalis/138/225/99 This is a nice place to hang out on the mainland and very photogenic ❤️ My mainland home with a group of friends of mine; we turned it into a bed and breakfast.
  11. My happy beach house is on Yuge. Increase the draw distance and I can watch everybody dancing at the Fairgrounds! I had to increase my tier for this and it became so very well worth it. My partner has been longing for a beach house for reasons of early SL nostalgia and this fits the bill brilliantly. Some feel good vibes for as long as this is sustainable 👍
  12. I dunno what's going on with all these adorable corner abandons but I decided to try for one and was nicely rewarded this afternoon. Thank you to whoever had been looking after this house so well before it found me! I'm absolutely in love.
  13. The doorknobs are at hand-height! The doorknobs are at hand-height! SOOOO excited about the doorknobs at hand-height Everything is to scale. The rooms are the right size. The floor to ceiling windows are bright and happy. The colour blue of the walls is a wonderful colour blue. I can't wait to decorate one of these for myself ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
  14. Oh I love ❤️ Thank you for this Lindens and Moles! I have furniture for it perfectly. I hope the public pools are for keeps, I look forward to walking around the new display later this evening. Love love love
  15. You can never go wrong with a Linden tree, anywhere in Bellisseria!
  16. If I had 7000 unused prims, I would start an event. - monthly - themed for something under-represented in the Resident community and specific - not just shopping related but information-accessible and informative and participatory as well (ie generate interest and presence in the region even if not spending money) - can cycle through 12 interesting facets of one major theme (ie Specialized Ornaments of the Human Form — January is shoes month, February is jewelled chains month... ) - get people involved who do it for Tips, not salary (advertising and promotion, infrastructure, munches coordination, artists wrangling...) ie who do it for love of the experience and passion for the topic rather than livelihood and bills paying I think about this a lot 😁 What would I do with 7000 prims! I could spam this thread for days with different ideas. I’ll stop at this one.
  17. I don’t mind leaving windows un-curtained. If the decor is right, the windows can remain nice and open as this:
  18. I did the opposite of what Bellisseria was intended for and eschewed it for many months in favour of Mainland living. Eventually in the autumn, when houses became more plentiful and people were abandoning them in search of newer releases more readily, I claimed a Traditional; and another; and another til I found my forever home in Donovan along the canal. I enjoy life in Bellisseria; it’s not a starter home but a retirement home, as people have suggested along the way over the months. I am a converted Mainlander. Giving up the canalside jewel for a Victorian, do I dare, do I dare... The decks are perfect; the landscaping is magnificent; but the canalside feeling is hard to leave. And it is all about the feeling of the place, after all. Virtual living is all about the feels. Nostalgia, hope, excitement, the feels getcha every time.
  19. I would select, if I had the choice, a house on the water; instead of roads, waterways like these houses in Holland. Or something that feels like living in Venice. Or something that feels like living in one’s Personal Chateau. But my first choice will always be “on the water somehow,” be it canalside or riverside or lakeside... seaside... ❤️
  20. Scylla is ROYALTY to me, and I read every syllable I can find of hers and that is something I enjoy doing in my RL. She changed my idea of what online debate can be; what forums are actually good for; why it’s worth showing up. Hi Scylla! Look at you, changing lives and minds and views everywhere you go. I hope you feel as good as you make others feel. Great topic, Tolya.
  21. You left the house in great condition, all cleaned and swept and fresh-smelling ❤️ I simply couldn't be happier with this jewel on the canal.
  22. Here you go: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/what-next-Maison-Drapes-mesh/6234744 What Next Maison Drapes, come in 2 sizes. Very handy! https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Soy-Solid-Wood-Center-Table-addme/7929136 Soy table, extremely versatile.
  23. I want to thank the Moles especially for affording the following views and photo-ops. I love being in Bellisseria because of you folks; thank you for what you do to make the world beautiful with all your excellent little details. I see what you do there.........! I'm looking at Puffin Head in these shots. Not new, but new to me and very exciting!
