Not true, a merchant can take down an item and re-upload it to the marketplace and such delete all comments on that item. Experienced it with an LaraX item that I bought from somebody from the marketplace where the hud didn't work, left a moderated negative comment for that item on the marketplace. The owner of the store contacted me, helped me out by finding a fix for that hud. And when I wanted to adapt my review to thank her for the service she provided, my review was gone, because she had took down the item and re-uploaded it with the fix.

This practice is strongly against the rules and reportable:

Market Place : Disallowed Listing Practices Item Was Disabled and Relisted

  2. My alt wears Freya forever, she's beautiful.

As far as my main goes, I used to wear Maitreya almost exclusively with a dip into Kupra. Then I found Ebody Reborn and it's now the only body I use. Never touched Legacy, shady.

  3. It's still an advert. Glad you had a good experience but naming the brand and posting a picture and saying you're recommending it is exactly what an advert is and let's not open that pandora's box or there'll be an influx of 'great experiences' with other brands.

  4. I was wondering if one has used the free version of the product to sell their items, how would upgrading to the paid version work? Would all vendors have to be redone? What would the process be?

  5. I personally use AvSitter to add animations to furniture as it's easy and widely used. It's also gone open source last I heard.

Also it's always better to invest in high quality animations. There's nothing worse than an awesome couch with crappy/freebie animations.

  6. 99.9% percent will be expecting animations with it.

The only furniture on the MP that comes without animations I have ever seen are sold full permissions to builders to add animations to then sell to people.

  7. Hi, I'm looking for a good rain effect for my small parcel. Preferably with ground puddles and effects. Sound welcome. Should be able to fit small spaces.

    Any suggestions please?^^

But they still use their valuable skills, and invest their time into creating the items. They might not be spending L$ on full perm components for their creations, but the time they are using to create the content from scratch is time that they could otherwise use to work for others, and get paid (a lot) for it. So that should be taken into consideration as well. A skilled creator's time is valuable and the costs of developing a product from scratch go way beyond just the 10 L$ upload. They deserve to be paid for their efforts, especially those who make full perm animations, meshes, textures, scripts, etc. They're a crucial part of the SL economy, and provide all other creators with the necessary items for their businesses.

I do agree but selling a product for 60L in an event gives exposure, especially if its an event featured on seraphim. You can either directly pay money to advertise your brand or you can indirectly pay by joining these events.

Let's not forget they are two way streets. Costumers get a bargain and you get exposure.

Edit: Also this is about the topic at hand, creators who don't sell full perm, selling their wares at events. Never said full perm creators shouldn't be paid well. I am one of them so I'd be biting my own behind to say anything else.

I guess you are joking or being sarcastic,  since you are a full perm animation seller for builders, you know how things work, right?  ;)

I was seeing it from my point of view as a creator. I pay 10L to upload a new animation and 10L for the texture for it to be shown inworld. That is 20L per product and a far cry from 1000L+ per product.

Edit: Those who do original work and do not rely on creator tools such as animations, 3d models and textures pay a lot less per product to get in world.

Years ago, in order to understand what builders are dealing with and what are their needs, I've role played furniture creator for couple of months with my alt. As unable modeling in 3d programs, I used to buy models/textures and even my own animations on sales. 1000L$ is nothing.

Thank you for explaining. I was seeing it from the point of a creator who creates their own stuff without using full perm parts from others. I can see how the latter can get very expensive. That said though, those who do create their own animations, textures, 3D models etc do not pay 1000L+ per item.

Customer contact can be fun, and has been for me too, but I never seek contact. The initiative has to come from the customer.

Seconding this. As a customer I feel pressured going into a store with the owner present. Same with land rentals that immediately bombard you with offers to help. I'd rather look at things in my own time without the presence or initiative from the owner.

As a store owner myself I also stay out of customer's way for the reasons mentioned above. If they have questions they will inevitably reach out and I'll be very happy to help then but until then, no, I don't want to be that sales person that follows you around in the store making you think you *have* to buy something or worse, that you're a possible thief. x3

  12. It's for my little animation store<3

    Highly prefer road access.

Please contact me here or in world with the necessary information of size, prims and weekly/monthly rent. Please include a Slurl to the parcel!

    Looking to rent long term!!

    Thank you!

  13. It would be very helpful to know what type of business you'd be welcoming. X-Rated? Vehicles? Animations? Fashion? Kids stuff? Breedables?

Also a slurl for potential renters to check out is an absolute must.

Put those two things up front, so people can decide whether to reach out or not :)

People in most if not all MMORPGs use third party communication platforms such as Discord or Teamspeak for guilds/clans and even entire realms

I hate this with a passion. I'm fine with using Discord to co-ordinate guild events and the likes but anything beyond that is just horribad. Why would I tab out of a game, stop playing said game, participate in a conversation that might as well be had in guild chat instead and then tab back into the game to continue playing? Repeat ad nauseum. I actually want to...you know..play the game.

I don't understand what people are thinking. I'm probably getting old and cranky but meh, left a couple of those kind of guilds until I settled in one that uses Discord as an an enhancement tool while using the guild chat for what it was made for; to chat among the guild while at the same time being able to play without endlessly going back and forth breaking up the gaming flow.

Sorry, just had to rant, you hit my biggest pet peeve there as far as gaming is concerned.
