First off, I appreciate you reading this. Right, so, my viewer crashes a lot. More specifically, it crashes in crowded areas, or places with a lot of stuff. (Such as shops and shopping fairs.) First it starts to chug, freezing up when I am attempting to move or look around, the freezes also affecting my computer making me unable to alt-tab or close the program until the freezing stops. At one point it froze my computer, as I did not shut down the viewer and relog fast enough, for literally 20 minutes+! I was sitting listening to something on youtube that was still playing so I know that it froze for approximately that long, but strangely, after the freeze the viewer worked fine. O_o My specs: Intel core i7-2600 cpu quad core @ 3.40ghz 4.00 gb memory Windows 7 32bit (Yes, leaving my usable ram at 3.48GB) AMD Radeon HD 6450 I would guess it's a memory problem but ... Things I have tried: Dual booting into linux 64 bit and running Firestorm 64x to see if the extra memory helps: It didn't seem to. Overheating: Monitoring programs say it is not an overheating problem. Original linden viewer: I used this first, as I am a new second life user. Re-installing Linden viewer from a clean install. Switching to Firestorm viewer. Turning off background programs and processes and running by itself. Turning graphics down very low. Updating my graphics drivers from a clean install. Could anyone please please help me as this makes it nearly impossible to go to a lot of events, go shopping and stuff. Edit: As someone said below, I activated my memory counter and played until the freezes started, They started at 960'000 bytes, until it got really bad at 1'000'000 bytes and I closed it before it freezed my computer. I looked on task manager and my system still had 1 gig of ram unused so I don't think it was maxed out. I guess this means it is an internet problem? Also I havent changed my RenderVolumeLODFactor from default
