  1. I use BD for most my photos, but something that really causes alot of work is the ugly jaggy shadows on the hair. I try everything, moving the sun around, auto shadows vs manual shadow control, but sometimes the shadows get stuck in the hair alphas and its is just dirty and ugly and just can't get it right, I often resort to taking 2 photos one without shadows and merge later in post, but is a pain to do sometimes too. Any tips for working on the Black Dragon viewer and the shadows in the hair? I really dont see this in FS or in the Linden viewer, The shadows in BD are otherwise fine, it just oftens gets "nasty" in the hair, and more specifically, blonde hair where you can really see it. Maybe there are other settings I am missing that can clean this up?

It's sort of in the rules, though.  Always has been.

Moderate - Partial nudity, like bare breasts and bottoms. This would include areolas, nipples, thongs, nipple covers/pasties, or see through topless nudity.

True, but with the push to get people into Pro accounts, about 90% of the bathing suites in SL  will be enforced as Moderate lol

  3. Thought Id post this heads up My non paid Flickr account  got taken offline until I correct "moderate" content. Now, I had deleted anything I had marked Moderate, and even something I thugh would be Safe but non nude and not even a nip slip. But as I thought, it seems Flickrs goal is to push people into paid accounts. Even now bathing suit shots that show the bum are now considered Moderate, Even the slightest hint of a nip is moderate. So while it may take a while for Flickr to get to all the accounts, just a heads up. If you are not a Pro account - better keep it Virgin Mary content!

Here a couple examples the review team sent me that are not Safe content any more

Champaign taste on a diet Coke budget...Shhhh... Sneaking out of the Asylum

  4. When i do a pic for a blog post the clothing is the most important but I like shooting 'in world' in different sims and not in  studios or staged sets. But I would have to say without a doubt Using BD poser is nearly a must! Find a decent starting pose then the poser to just get the arms and hands right, or even to make major pose adjustment. And then finding the the right WL setting

I'm in heaven! Free cake and wine!

    Just another day in paradise...

  5. I think its been going on over a weeek at least. I thought maybe the change with BOM and the new FS viewer, but even logging in to my home, can take sometimes a good 5 min for the body pieces to load and I am all put together, Never really used to be like that that I can recall. Ive updated all my drivers and nvidia driver - my machine has plenty of power with 32g ram and a gtx 970 and a core i7, it has just been a bit annoying and one never knows if a Windows update screwed something up again, lol

  6. Is it only me or has getting things rezzed lately seem to be taking forever? Not just tp'ing into places, but attaching clothes and stuff onto myself. I'm on FS I had the latest version with BOM and I just tried to roll back and install the previous version, that didn't help. Also installed the latest Windows update then tried rolling that back. Sometimes it can take 5 min or more for a piece of clothes to rezzz, if at all! sometimes I have to relog multiple times to get something to rezz. So i am wondering if it is just me, or if others are experiencing this as well

Don't they come included with the standard Firestorm installation anymore? Well then, grab them here, zipped up at my Google drive:

You can happily unpack them and copy them to your viewer's install directory - for Firestorm, it's typically located at C:\Program Files\Firestorm-Releasex64\app_settings\windlight\skies.

actually, if you install them in the main FS folder under C/Program files,, you can lose the windlights on updates. Best to put custom  WL under app data/roaming/firestorm folder

    A few additional notes:

You can change your avatar's position on X Y and Z (hover height) with the Poser as well in the bottom tabs "Position" on mPelvis.

You can also double click to load poses.

You can right click to revert to the last slider value (the one before you started dragging), this works everywhere not just the Poser.

    Thanks Niran!

  9. I thought I would make a short(ish) video on the Poser in Black Dragon. If you like to photography yourself or make blog photos it is a really cool and useful feature. Yes pose  adjusters are available, but  they are scripted which limits the precise positioning. This is built into BD and has a finite control over movement  of  all our bento bones
