  1. I discovered accidentally that typing NOT demo (caps on the NOT) eg shoes NOT demo, helps a little. However, many merchants put D:E:M:O, xDxExMxOx and other things. Why do they do this?
  2. Using a test post to say thank you! Edit: and a fresh page all to myself, to boot! :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2:
  3. Good morning! Long story short: My trash will not stay empty between logins. To elaborate: I empty my trash folder, and it will seem to operate normally. I can continue putting things in it and emptying it, and it stays empty, even between teleports. Here's the glitch: The next time I log in, everything that was in the trash before I emptied it is back again. And it is slowly building up. Exception: If I manually right-click each item in the trash and select "Purge Item" it stays gone like it should, but this is tedious. And purging does not work on folders in the trash, only items. So it's full of empty folders at each login. Results are the same whether I use Singularity viewer, or Second Life 3.6.9 (282535) So, what can I do? Thank you! EDIT: Thanks, Rolig, but on a hunch I went and restored all of the empty folders from the trash. Then, one at a time, right-clicked, deleted, then emptied the trash. Then re-logged. The deleted folder was back again each time. This happens whether I delete one item or twenty (or however many). To clarify: Putting items/folders/anything in the trash works. Emptying the trash does not. Purging items from the trash one at a time works. Purging folders from the trash does not work at all. As long as I stay logged in, it works normally. It's between sessions, when I log off, that SL seems to un-purge the contents of the trash. If it's an asset server issue (as someone in-world suggested), to whom do I speak about getting it sorted? The support case form on the website does not cover anything close to this issue. EDIT 2, Nov 24, 2013: Passing on the following from an in-world convo, which seems to have fixed the problem Download the libopenmetaverse package from http://lib.openmetaverse.org/wiki/DownloadUnpack it, and run testclient.exeFrom testclient's command line, type login [firstname] [lastname] [password]Wait until most of the stuff scrolling up the window dies downType emptytrash and press enter.Type deletefolder Trash (with a capital T) and press enter.Type emptytrash again. Ignore the error.Type logout.Type quit.Log in someplace quiet using the official LL viewerOpen your inventory and wait for it to load.My trash is now empty!:matte-motes-smitten: EDIT 3, Nov 30, 2013: ... but it doesn't stay that way. :matte-motes-mad: Once I put something in it, the nonsense starts again. So Edit 2 is a one-time fix, that will empty the trash once you're tired of it filling up, but won't permanently fix the underlying cause. So what I've been doing is dragging things out of the trash to the lost-and-found folder, and then emptying that instead, which still works. I keep adding to this because I've gotten several IMs from other residents who have had the same issue, asking "Did you fix it?" - If you are having this issue, go ahead and file a bug on the JIRA. When I did, I got tossed back and forth between a pair of resident admins, who each took turns asking if I'd cleared my cache, clean installed, etc., even though I'd listed steps already taken in the bug report. (Including a fresh install of the Linden release viewer on a different computer on a different ISP in a different part of the country) Finally, none less than Maestro Linden closed the bug and told me to contact support - which I would love to do if not for having to buy a quarter of Premium. Which I had been considering before the runaround, but not so much now. But file a bug anyway, perhaps if enough users bring this issue to their attention someone will actually look into it.
