Granting editing permission won't work

Just had this happen to me and my friend. This worked for me, traveling to another region did nothing. However setting the permission on the web profile tab worked. -
Actually it is a different collar system. It's basically the old OC code but they still run the database for it. The Open Collar no longer supports their database, the DBCollar still has their web interface running.
