  1. @OP, ever observed the usage of punctuation marks?
  2. Invisible applier layers is known alpha bug that exists on all mesh bodies, even non fitmesh ones. The bug's been there for as long as SL is (alpha lashes poking through hair, eg). I doubt SL will ever fix it since it's probably beyond their graphical capabilities.

Or here's an idea, how about stop acting like a jackass and don't bother replying if you don't want to help? Creator of the picture? Lol. the OP should ask OP? In case you haven't noticed this is a forum, where people help each other. Maybe someone knows what the hair is so it can save the OP countless hours of browsing through marketplace without a clue?
  4. Awesome, new SL will be infested even more with those creepy 50yr olds dressed up as 3-week old "adult skin in baby shape" creatures in pacifiers mumbling their retarded baby speech. Not sure why anyone would find sex scary after seeing these avatars in-world.
  5. Why do people insist on looking exactly like RL? Why not just go play your RL? Are you gonna get a heart attack now that your video game character is 3 inches taller than your RL self and has bigger boobs? "Look at me I'm so stuck up in my false modesty that I dress exactly the way I do in RL. Say no to sexy physiques because that's not 'realistic' enough for a game."
  6. LlewLlwyd wrote: CHOOSE your friends more carefully - not from the 90%+ of players who don't have a clue.. ***Or petition LL to institute a minimum IQ test for new registrations*** If that was implemented from the start then SL's population would decrease by about 50% at least, which is a good thing. I'd rather have a smaller population of competent players who won't single-handedly destroy a city's aesthetics rating with their fuglines, than a crowd of retards who still look like noob linden after 3 years in SL.
  7. No it's illegal and you'll be arrested for humping another pixel in a game.
  8. It just makes me facepalm whenever I see someone selling mesh clothing without offering a demo, especially those wordless ads with absolutely no information about the product (what perms? What sizes?). Not offering demos was already stupid in the days before mesh bodies existed (since creators thought that if it's "standard sizing" then it'll fit if you adjust your shape), but now with mesh bodies are they just assuming that everything they make will somehow fit all the mesh bodies magically? Oh yes people are definitely dumb enough to spend 399 for a dress without any clue whether or not it'll fit them. Do you walk into a boutique in RL and simply buy a pair of pants or a skirt off the hangers without even trying it on? At least 90% of the people I see have either a mesh body or at least one mesh bodypart (boobs, legs). Just because it fits the creator's shape sliders doesn't mean it'll fit the other 99.99% of the SL population. How hard is it to rez your model, right click -> build -> box, and paste a damn demo sign over it, then link it?
  9. I would advise against buying these. Rarely anyone buys these now for the following reasons: - You could get an entire fitted mesh body which looks 100x better. The two mesh bodies that I think are good are Slink Physique and Maitreya. Both offers great customer service - Lolas offers ZERO customer support. Have problems fitting, texturing, or using appliers? You're on your own. Oh and there is no support group either - Lolas is the ONLY mesh body part creator that offers NO DEMO. Their reason? "You should simply trust us that we make good stuff". So you're basically screwed if it does not fit. I bought the Delicq without trying on a demo and it completely failed to fit to my mesh body, so now it's sitting in my inventory gathering dust had hasn't been worn in like half a year
  10. Standard sizing is completely retarded so it's not you doing something wrong, it's the creators behind this sh*tty template. XXS = no boobs, no butt, no belly XS = no boobs, no butt, some belly S = no boobs, no butt, quite a bit of belly M = tiny boobs, tiny butt, lots of belly L = tiny boobs, some butt, tons of belly The f*ck? Basically the only thing that increases in size is belly size. How many people in SL do you see with stomach/fat value at anything other than 0, or at most 10? Basically if you want a lean model-like figure with ample breasts/butt, then no mesh clothing will fit that shape, despite the fact that 90% of the people I see in SL do tend to have supermodel-ish figures. This is why I rarely if ever buy the stuff in "standard sizing" because they all turn you into either a super skinny flat-chested genderqueer or an overweight boob-lover. Who plays SL to dress up as an "average jane"? There may be some people who has a fetish at achieving a 100% "RL" look but unfortunately you're the minority.

Once someone threatened to "report me" because 1/5th of my nipple was showing from underneath my top. If you complain about nudity in a game designed for 18+ people then you're just beyond pathetic. Please go back to playing your Dora the Explorer kthnx. (My highlighting) WOW, really? "Homo"????? What is YOUR malfunction????? My "malfunction" is a simple typo, should read "hobo" not "homo". Your malfunction is much more severe unfortunately, for squealing like a 2-year old at a typo, unless of course you ARE one of those freaky fugly child av's, in which case fits your role. Calm down and have some Prozac.

  13. Is LL ever going to add some of the much-needed filters and categories to marketplace? And maybe fix up the existing ones so they actually work properly? - Right now you can't even select more than one category at once, unlike pretty much every other e-shopping site out there. What if you want to search for both "platform heels" and "boots"? You gotta open two tabs for that, seriously? Or if you want to display stuff from 100-500L and 500L-1000L, you gotta open multiple tabs for that too - You can't search for exact matches on keywords. If you want to search for stuff that has BOTH THE KEYWORDS "heel" and "black" you're out of luck, because for some reason the engine only recognizes "heel" OR "black", so you end up with results of every single black-coloured item in the marketplace and every single pair of heels - Mesh has been out for years and there's STILL no "rigged mesh", "fitted mesh" or "non-rigged mesh" category, is this for real? In fact I'd say even make an entire section on mesh-only stuff for those of us who couldn't give a rat's arse about non-mesh stuff. It's pretty much impossible to search for mesh-only clothing in marketplace. Wanna search for a mesh bikini? Type in "mesh bikini" in the search engine and 90% of your results end up being NON-MESH stuff that somehow has the keyword "mesh" in it - Add some more categories for all the shoppers' sake. You have niche categories like "toys/video game memoraphilia" and "contraband" (lol wtf?) yet there are no categories for mesh bodies/body parts, appliers, stoles/ponchos/shawls, leg/arm garters, or headbands/horns?
  14. It's random prims not being retextured. I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the script not optimized as I have no problem using retexture huds by other creators for their stuff.
  15. I'm having trouble with my texture change script for objects with large amount of prims (50-100). It works but around 5-10% of prims are always left untextured, it's random prims. I'm guessing it's because of lag and the function is not executed properly a few times. I'm using llSetLinkPrimitiveParams and llSetLinkPrimitiveParamsFast, both have the same problem. This is my code: http://codepaste.net/vwsfti Can someone take a look and see what the problem is and offer some suggestions? Thanks.
  16. Hi I'm having major trouble logging into SL. I was only able to log in after restarting router, but after an hour or so it begins to get stuck at "waiting for region handshake" then throws the error "we're having trouble connecting. There may be a problem with your internet connection or SL grid" (but if I'm already logged in I don't disconnect). It will successfully log me in if I choose a safe hub as the login destination (cyclops, aqua, etc), but choosing any other region as the login location will always fail. Tried clearing cache as well and it only worked for an hour or so then starts failing again.
  17. Slink and belleza bodies are no mod, why would they support omega system? This is the reason why I refuse to buy those two bodies. Not to mention belleza's body is so ugly. Those cankles and elephant legs. 3999L? Please give me one reason why I'd choose belleza's body over wowmeh or slink's which costs less than 1/3 the price of it and has probably 100x more applier support. Pretty satisfied with Wowmeh's body, cheaper, comes with 2 body options, and full copy/mod meaning you can mod the crap out of it, unlike those damned creators who slap on a no mod label on everything they make. Only gripe is the body mesh itself is not as refined as slink's. Drake1 Nightfire wrote: Perhaps it is because they have not been approved to be a designer for many of the "appliers" they utilize. Slink and many others want people to apply to use their brand, the Omega system bypasses all of that. They also did not purchase the applier to begin with. At one point they did indeed have a Slink applier. When Slink found out about it they were not amused and filed a DMCA on them. THAT is why i wont use it. It's sad that a creator can't have a list of approved merchants because someone decided to hack the applier system. Yes, Belleza does not have appliers yet, why should the Omega system be able to bypass that? If i make a mesh body, script it so only I, or approved merchants, can make appliers for it, what gives Omega the right to hack that? It's not cool, or legal. "Hack"? Illegal? I lol'd. First of all slink body is no mod which means you can't insert scripts into it. Modding something you bought is called hacking? Giving people the ability the dress up the way they're supposed to is hacking? Tell me one difference between using a texture for a piece of SL layer clothing, or a pair of mesh breasts, and using the EXACT SAME TEXTURE (which is what all appliers are) on a mesh body. Using that texture because you use a different body is "hacking"? Why did LL choose to leave notecards readable then? It's the creator's own fault if they leave the notecard readable for anyone to grab the UUID. Are you one of those people who think everything in a game should be no copy/no mod because giving people the ability to edit THEIR OWN POSSESSIONS is too much? Lol never seen a consumer who'd rather kiss up to a creator's butt than stand up for consumer's rights. In case that's too difficult for you to comprehend, here's a simpler scenario. You buy a prim, and insert a texture change script into it (which is what omega is), that's called hacking? Lol I'm sure slink will be super mad that people who BOUGHT their mesh bodies are wearing some clothes that don't have official, FREE, slink applier huds. Yes slink will go bankrupt because people are wearing clothes not designated as "slinkable" by them. Your post, and the logic behind it, is the very meaning of fail. Kudos to omega creator for creating something that MOST mesh body owners will enjoy! You truly are a lifesaver, given that most creators don't provide applier huds for every mesh body. Open content creation and modding ftw.

  19. I'm using Blender with Avastar, and I'm having a problem with weight painting. There are several weird things I'm observing: - Even if the object has no weight painting whatsoever (completely blue), and I attach object to the armature, the object is still rigged when I test it in preview grid, or preview it in pose mode in blender. Of course it's not rigged well at all, with tons of jagged edges and folding into itself - The preview I see in pose mode in blender is entirely different as what I see when I upload it to preview grid in SL, making it hard to test position/size/weight paint Are there any detailed tutorials on weight painting in SL? I did a search and wasn't able to find any... all the youtube videos I've seen so far are those "pro demonstrations" without any explanations. I played around with weight painting brushes in blender and can't even remotely get the rigging to look correctly. I'm starting with very simple clothes to get a feel of how rigging works.
  20. What I heard from OP: - I'm one of those people who cringes at any sign of breasts, butts or dicks. I play SL with a flat-chested flat-butted girl and anyone who tries to have any curves in SL is "disgusting" - SL avatar should look exactly like your RL one. You are retarded if you try to modify your RL look. - All creators now are stupid, 2006 creators with the prim-and-flexi hairs and sweaters that look like they were painted on are the best. Freebie island ftw - My computer sucks and can't handle 3D realism in clothing, therefore mesh must suck - I quit buying stuff, I hope this serves as a huge threat to creators to actively abandon 2014 technology and create more stuff that looks like they were made in 2006 - Bla bla bla Yeah no one cares if you don't buy mesh. SL should have introduced mesh a LONG time ago as it was already way behind current technology, and mesh is gradually replacing all signs of those prim/sculpty/flexi/clothing layer crap, and I for one am glad it's this way. Go to freebie island or something and indulge yourself in people who lag behind in 2006 looks. Kthnxbai. Funny I actually think "standard mesh" sucks too but for a different reason. Whose idea was it that XXS and L have the same butt/boob size, the only area that it increases is the stomach? Like wtf? The only size that has a flat stomach is XXS, yet if you wanna have any chest size bigger than 20 you're gonna have a problem. So basically it's impossible to wear standard mesh if your avatar is skinny but with a moderate chest/butt size.
  21. Is the SL preview (beta) grid down right now? Unable to log into it, it just hangs at the login bar, then after a minute says "unable to connect to a simulator". Is SL beta still the only way to preview mesh, by the way?
  22. [Rant thread] Creators/shop owners bring lots of innovative things into SL everyday, but as we all know not every creator is a mini-visionary. What ticks you off about (some) creators in SL? Here are just some things I noticed over my 7-year experience in SL: - People who refuse to provide customer service. Yes it's fine if you're too busy drawing lines in Illustrator to spend answering customer queries, at least hiring a part time CSR which will cost you like what, a few hundred L a day tops? Common sense dictates that you'll lose much more than a few hundred L a day if you piss off a truckload of customers by ignoring every single one of their queries. If you can't even afford to hire a part-time CSR, then you're either doing your business very wrong or you're just cheap, both meaning you should change careers and be a shopper instead - People who claim to provide customer service, but in actuality simply don't. This is much worse than the point above, at least those people are straightforward about it. I'd really like to point some names out but unfortunately this forum doesn't allow me. I've had the WONDERFUL experience of trying to get in contact with a certain shop owner regarding a defective product for TWO YEARS (beat this lol). Truthfully, after a few weeks I've already given up but I kept sending notecards once every few months just to see if she'll reply. Even her own CSR is appalled why her boss is ignoring customer queries, especially major ones like mine which is about defective products, and kept apologizing to me everytime I talked to her. Tip: if you're just an a-hole and refuse to talk to customers, at least set up a damn redelivery system. The store I mentioned above doesn't even have a redelivery system, so anyone who bought something and didn't deliver is completely S.O.L, not even the CSR has a copy of the store's items - People who refuse to provide demos. I'm a builder myself and I know it takes me a grand total of less than 1 minute to slap a huge demo sign on a product. It's somewhat understandable if you don't have demos for non-rigged accessories, but for rigged mesh it's a no-brainer to provide demos. Do you walk into your local Macy's, see a beautifully-photoshopped sign of a pair of sunglasses or dress, and then go directly to the cashier to buy it without trying it on? I don't think so - People who charge for demos. Please, don't give me the bullsheet about "oh it takes lots of time and effort to create a demo so it's worth that 1L". Walmart does not charge 1 penny to use the dressing room. And I'm sure real life clothing designers spends MUCH more effort on designing clothes than an SL designer even if you work 25 hours a day, because you don't have to worry about 99% of the things that a RL business owner worries about. If you depend on profiting from piling up those 1L's through selling demos, then that's just sad. As for those people who charge MORE than 1L for demos, I seriously don't know what to say other than doing a facepalm. As an aside the most hefty "demo fee" I've ever seen in SL is 12L. Anyone ever seen one with a higher fee? - People who disable modify perm unnecessarily. It's fine if you slap on "no modify" for combat huds. It's fine if you slap on "no modify" for those weird virtual tamagotchis. Please tell me why the hell would you slap on "no modify" for something like a pair of non-scripted shoes, and refuse to remove that restriction even when asked nicely because the person needs to manually adjust child prims to fit? It's common knowledge resizer scripts are about the most useless scripts in existence if you're a perfectionist fitter. If the reason is "I used a mesh kit and it's to hide the actual creator name", then it kinda failed because you can just inspect the object to find the original creator. I really don't know why else it's no modify - People who don't know how to create 3D models but desperately attempt to make it look like they can. Through trying to hide creator name, or outright lying that they created the model, or charging crazy prices for it to make it look like it's an original work (you know they went over the line if a kit resell costs more than the original kit itself) or feebly attempting to edit the mesh kit's texture by some simple light settings in Photoshop and claim it as their own, or some other methods that I can't think of right now. It's fine if you can't create your own original stuff, not everyone is able to learn Maya. It's not fine if you are superficial about it. I've had several amusing conversations where creators lie that they created the mesh model, then got pwned when I showed them a link to the mesh kit. Unfortunately there are too little 3D creators in SL, 99.99% of the mesh stuff we see in the grid is from kits, and we have people like Meli Imako to thank for pumping out daily mesh kits at outrageously cheap prices which only makes the situation worse, as why should you create something original when you can buy the kit for 300L? But still Meli Imako's stuff are amazing, go search it up seriously - People who hide their online status. Everyone knows you can still find whether or not a person is online by inspecting the person's status in a group. So why do you still hide your online status? When customers want to contact you, they gotta go through the unnecessary procedure of joining a group you're in to see whether or not you're online. This is like playing back a recording that says "I'm unavailable at the moment, please leave a message" when you're really there No I'm not writing this because I just got pissed off by someone, I don't even sign into SL that much these days, pre-occupied with another game lol. Just a rant thread because I'm bored. P.S.: I just saw the new "The Shops" system, and it's frigging amazing. Just to say that fortunately at least creators are absolute geniuses.
  23. Hello, I have an attachment that gives a menu when I click on it. Right now I can set it so that other people can click my item and get the menu, and play around with my attachment with the following: touch_start(integer total_number) { ToucherID = llDetectedKey(0); string name = llKey2Name(ToucherID); if (name == "ABC Resident" || name == "DEF Resident" || name == "Myself Resident") { listen_id = llListen( channel_dialog, "", ToucherID, ""); pageNum = 1; giveDialog(ToucherID, pageNum); llSetTimerEvent(Timeout); } } listen(integer channel, string name, key id, string choice) { llSetTimerEvent(0.0); if (choice == "choice1") { //do stuff ... ... That works. However if we are both wearing the same attachment, and one of us clicks either one's attachment, BOTH attachments will get affected by the changes made through the menu (like hide/show, retexture, etc). How do I make it so that both (or more) people can USE the menu, but the changes made through that menu will only affect that person's attachment? Thanks.
