  1. i kinda see relisting as a problem, or at least not being able to sort by a true creation date. im not sure how it could be fixed tho, maybe a stepped sales tax might help, like the longer an item is listed the the less the sales tax there is. idk lol
  2. they need to greese up the economy imho fix mp search all products should be demo all inworld product should be clickable by the owner to leave a MP rating/review heavier sales tax on MP than inworld sales rating/reviews should be incentivised with cash back from the increased sales tax to both the creator and purchaser figure out some scaled tax to disincentivise relisting older products
  3. ty for your reply Sassy Gaias site is down now so i only partly understood your linked discussion. was the upshot for best fit with this pack we should - wear the shape, export the .xml, load it to avastar and not use the 'reset to defaults' ? and this route gives the truest visual representation in blender of what we see in firestorm? ..and yup sorry, i didnt mean linden labs official
  4. hello :) i got that official standard sizing pack on the mp, https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Standard-Sizing-Package-Updated-Male-Female/2894727? (1) i wore the shape from the pack inworld, exported it as an .xml from firestorm, then loaded that shape in blender thru avastar. (2) i then loaded the official standard size blender object from the same pack comparing (1) and (2) of the same size, they weren't even close O.o http://postimg.org/image/45lmlykkj/ does this mater? i'm new to this, but don't think i messed up lol
  5. srry was talking to drake madeline @drake is your male made from the SL female gender shape ? did you make your own shape? are you using Standard Size Mesh clothes and do they hang as intended ? or do they tend to hug at the front and swim at the back ? ty
  6. what ? i was trying not to get dragged into the ..'this is SL, be what you want to be, wear what you like' ..debate but its a moot point anyway, i wasnt able to make a decent looking male from the female gender, that was big enough to fill the smallest standard size male mesh clothing the upshot is, if your a man, you cant have a small nose and nice clothes lool.
  7. ok, so i made a male(f), and played with some sliders, maxed out a good few of them, and threw on some of my tighter fitting clothes in male mesh standard size small. from a very quick investigation i'd say a male(f) shape is smaller than a male small in standard size mesh. and at least in this quick case, left a noticable gap at the back between skin and clothes when the chest and belly touched the front of the cloth. it was far enough out that i didnt try many clothes, its kinda like wearing clothes too big and facing the wind. from my guesses at how rigging/weighting of mesh works, this would go a long with the female having an outy spine (the tighter waist around the back), and the male having an innie (that gap between the shoulderblades)
  8. lool ..yup, and the frunkensteen hugss loool
  9. i went the RL proportioned / vitruvian route for my own avi and i love the non vitruvian shapes on others. not that i notice it on others, i will only notice it if im controlling the avi. its just another choice of the many available in SL. if every shape was vitruvian, imo SL would be even more freaky than it is lool. what i will say is that its not just a case of making a vitruvian shape and everything is all rosey. imo most skins will look a bit off. AOs and animations can move less naturally sometimes in impossible ways, and even when they are mocap designed. mesh clothes can look a lot worse. theres something odd about the male ass position, lol. like you cant look RL proportioned from front and rear view, imo. and the default camera angle and lense gold fish bowl effect means, for 99% of the time you dont look vitruvian anyway. in the end i made slight tweaks toward 'freak' lol from the vitruvian shape, and am making a few more since, but i learned some fun stuff along the way ) ...not the least of which was making a box and stretching it lool. ..oh yeah, ty to pussycat catnip & penny patton for your blog tutorials on this
  10. some male shapes are built off female bases, the gender button in the edit shape is set to female. ill call these male(f) if i make a male(m) that is also Mesh Standard Sized. and if i made an exact copy of that shape as a male(f). will mesh clothes fit and move different on both avatars.
