Agreed. @OP, the only issue I have with the app is that it's like texting BUT, if your message is too long, it may or may not cut off and send a half-assed message. I use it to view my IMs and it's very helpful if you're on the go or if you work in SL. So I'm guessing so that's a plus! However, I only use the FREE version but if you pay for the full app you get more features such as accessing your inventory and what not but I'm not enitrely sure.

Yuppers! As long as you have that login ID and Password, no matter where you go or what computer you download SL on, you will keep your avi and items! :matte-motes-smitten:

So, a friend of mine and I decided it would be cool to watch movies or tv shows off a media prim. I got everything setup and went to YouTube to watch some videos to test it out. I was able to watch the video fine while my friend could only see the site but the video wasn't available and showed something about updating his flash. So he did and retried, nothing. We tried firestorm and saw there was no difference and checked on the boxes for media in the graphics settings and nothing. We spent a good few hours on this and we're stumped. Any suggestions? Only thing that works for him is QuickTime but that's all. Thank you!

If you don't even refer your "friends" as good ones and you're positive you're innocent, you should have nothing to prove to those people and just move on with life because it's not worth putting your time into something so petty.

Alright, so I was persuaded from the responses on this thread and downloaded the viewer. It's not THAT complicated but yeah, it has much more detail and features (especially in the preferences menu). However, it was late and probably spent about say...half an hour fiddleing with the options before going to sleep so I have much more to experiment with. As far as performance goes, it seems the viewer runs a tad slower or the same as the LL viewer for me so am I enabling extra features in the graphics department of things where I don't need? BTW even if it isn't much, I love the layout of the viewer (i.e the pie chart for the actions and control of colors for certain things which some of aren't available for the LL viewer). The simple things make me smile. :matte-motes-smitten:

Well by "disappearing", do you mean it was your in your inventory then it vanished or you rezzed the item on land and then it went *POOF*?

Im very sorry that your in this situation and it sounds like a real pain... If you tried contacting LL or filed a AR, all I can think is just blocking the avi's when you recieve IM's. Eventually they'll get bored right? I would if I have to make multiple accounts to just stalk a person.

Hello! I had this problem occur to me before but for other clients from various MMORPG's. First, try reinstalling the viewer. If that doesn't help, try going to your harddrive and look up the second life folder. Then right click the app and click "run as adminstrator or something like that. Hopefully this helps!
