aw thank you Well, overall my avi is steering towards dark urban fantasy, but I felt so cozy today, so I wore something more casual 😅

IKR! I just feel so good that I didn't lose my previous outfits and I can still use older stuff on the new body here and there. When I was a Freya wearer... things didn't go quite as happily lol. Oh well, I'm so glad now! Waiting for updates and new clothes now.

The new update is just wonderful - and free! I think that speaks very, very highly to the creator. I'm happy to keep wearing both versions! LaraX has such beautiful shoulders, I'm excited about that. Still trying to work out my updated shape, but I love how natural and elegant it looks. Also so happy that the jewelry and the shoes fit 😄

To the topic above, Maitreya can absolutely be made curvy, but not extremely so I made my avi rather busty as I wanted, and I think with the new body I'll have a properly shaped butt and hips as well. And it works well with a shorter height!

Interesting! It's definitely a step in the right direction for LL when it comes to introducing people to SL appearance and shopping world. It's so easy to get overwhelmed by it, especially when you just join and suddenly there is so many beautiful avatars and shops, but you can't wear or buy anything without first investing a hefty sum in a proper mesh body and head. I hope they do have a plan to have some brands create clothes, skins and accessories for this body. Because eventually a newcomer would switch to the more popular body anyway, but this is a stepping stone. I think it might also reintroduce the creative freedom SL is so famous for with easier access to dev kits. So I hope, anyway

Oh i feel you 😅 I rented out a place good enough to fit in my private home and to have space for my creative endeavors and decor blogging. But I used to have two parcels as well and it was not very convenient to be honest hehe. I'm still on the lookout for even better place for both my directions.

If still relevant, I'd like to recommend DDD Dysfunctional for shrubs. They are affordable, pretty and come with plenty of seasonal textures. Great for borders, standalones, fillers. Also LOVE SUPERSTORE has a ton of shrubs, bushes and the like!

Yes indeed! I think the lack of activity is because the land forums feel so constricted to Linden Homes, for real. And the home threads there seem to be used to promote sales and such. But I think it could be fun to discuss the matter, just like we discuss appearances. I've been feeling a lack of spaces like that in general.

I am now actually curious to learn more about how often people change their home decor, as I'm guilty of doing it way too often! lol!

yeah I really miss having such spaces to talk about it yet there are so many furniture stores and clearly the flickr side of home decor is thriving.

Hi everyone I have a question! There is a lot of discussion threads about avatar appearance, looking for clothes items and the like, but there isn't really any space on the forums to talk about homes, home decorations and what everyone likes to do with the many decor and furniture items they own. Could we have such a space, or maybe I or anyone else could make a thread about it in some existing forum section? I'm just not sure where. I know there are forums to discuss land, but I think the point of threads there is a bit different.

I have to say I appreciate Maitreya representatives and the brand trying to make the change more comfortable for the users. There's a lot of uproar right now in different discussion groups, understandably, but I think it will be okay. At least, in comparison with some other transitions from other body brands, so far it looks like a brighter future hehe.

Oh, to clarify, I hope that the body aims at both markets Maitreya has definitely been great with those who prefer petite shapes and if they can help us curvy ladies with that also, It would be a win-win for both sides Totally agreeing with you!

I've heard some rumours a week or so ago and I'm so glad to have the confirmation for the Maitreya update. I really hope they jump on the bandwagon of some curvy bodies but also somehow manage to retain compatibility with the old clothes. I think it's vital as Maitreya takes up the biggest share of the market, judging by all the questionnaires. And any more new bodies requiring even MORE new clothes is just an unnecessary weight on the creators and the shoppers alike. All in all, whatever the developers present, I'm excited for it I'm a newish user of the body, but it's always wanted it and when I got it, it proved to be exactly what I wanted. We'll see when it does drop! EDIT: Just saw that Maitreya made an official statement. I'm so EXCITED.

Hi folks I'm looking into updating my old mermaid stuff collection, but all my things are from before Bento-era. What is everyone's preferred tail nowadays? What is a good choice to find modifications for? Preferably one that fits Maitreya Lara. Bonus question: what are your overall favourite mermaid themed shops and social hangout spots if you could share?
