  1. I rent the land and it is all paid up. Even visitors get the message, it appears as a box in the UI with an OK button. Any idea what this is? I do not get it anywhere else except where I'm renting...and then, well, everyone is getting it on the same property
  2. Excuse me for trying to help, the box in the actual Search was the issue, I did point that out Next time go to support, if you can't be civil
  3. You must at the same time make sure that Adult is checked in search too, it is different than in just Preferences
  4. Like in RL, if you wear something that is obviously too big it will look awful...something too small will be tight on the stuff underneath...If the jacket came with an alpha you could use it...it will hide the part of your avatar mesh that is under the coat and the pants too, basically. The alpha, if there is one, looks like a T-shirt (not like a regular T-shirt, the icon for it will be blue and textured) in the folder for the jacket.
  5. As far as I know, the name is toast. but accounts can be reactivated for a period of time after you delete them. You might chose something similar to your deleted account then use the Display Name to show what you truly want to be called
  6. You might find this tutorial helpful https://secondlife.com/my/whatnext/video-tutorials/index.php? There are also free things available inworld and on Marketplace to get you started. The Appearance button in the viewer (the one that looks like a T-shirt) also has the avatars listed with clothing, you can open the list of items by clicking on the arrow next to the outfits. Right clickin gon an item there or in inventory will give you the option to wear or add the item to your look. Right clicking your avatar will also give you amenu that allows you to "Take off". Experiment a little it's easy and you really can't break much. The Linden avatars cannot get totally naked because the skins have underwear intergrated (painted) right on them. If You find freebie items they will be deokvered to your inventory either in the main section or the Received Items...you should get a message telling you where (the inventory button has a picture of a suitcase) The learn curve here can be a little steep but it get easier in a hurry. Have a great second life I always tell new people to not be afraid to ask questions, most residents will help you if they can epps, typo delivered* I'm not sure what deokvered means Oh and you can find things in world using search lots of free stuff in stores or in freebie places...the free stuff in regular stores that sell their own line is often of pretty good quality
  7. The video is for the instructions in how to do it in Maya
  8. @Drongle I don't know Maya at all, but, here's a link to a You Tube video that combines two objects (think that is the same as join).
  9. OMG, oh my God, OMG That was sooooooooo it! Switching to Edit mode before adding the cube made all the difference Great catch, Aquila! Thank you so much for sticking with it for me. :matte-motes-big-grin: a Kudo to you, wish I could give more than one! Yes, that's a 0.01 X 0.01 X 0.01 prim next to the nano mesh and the mesh is not at its smallest
  10. Thank you, I'm not sure how you get those two seperate items to be joined, I understand that they are both within the same bounding box area. I'll try to reproduce what you've done, but, I am at present lost about the why and the how. I did complete a video about my process and included a link to the video I originally followed which actually had the mesh created to make the bigger box and fool the linden uploader passing through the object that was being uploaded. My process is here the one I followed (in French) is here I assume from your diagrams that in this case it is the torus in the lower area that you intend to use in SLand that the triangle in the upper part of the illustration is what is used to expand the area. Hey, what I'm doing isn't working so I really appreciate the help, giving it a try, thanks
  11. I hope someone can help, I'm reading this thread and it appears to have the answer to my question, I'm just not quite sure what you are saying <grins> sorry I successfuly created a nano mesh the other night and it must have just been dumb luck or I've since managed to change some setting because I have not been able to do it again. I watched the video I followed again and again and I'm pretty sure I follow the directions exactly, but, then I don't get the same result...soooo something is obviously wrong with my method. I creat the mesh and scale it down below the 0.01 limit usually into something around 0.005 or so then I create a new mesh box around it at the default Blender size of 2.0 X 2.0X 2.0 scaled at 1 X 1 X 1. Then, I remove vertices until I have three with the axis for one passing through the object, I create a face on that axis (a triangle joining the three). I export it as a Collada and upload to SL...all seems the same as with the successful attempt except for those numbers in the object size box. I can video my steps or show screenshots of the Blender screens, but, it appears that there is something in this thread about how to get that larger box to be recognized in the high LOD and that is where you are losing me. I've included a picture of the nano mesh and one of my many failed attempts...I've been struggling with this now for a few days, I would be most grateful for any help. Thanks in advance
  12. I'm not sure if this will be of any help, but, maybe. The developer kit that comes with the Lolas Tangos mesh breasts includes a map and it works pretty much how you've described, it works like putting a clothing layer on the breast, however, I've made tattoos for the breast and it does replace what is there already. There is a script sold at Rubber Bunny (an SL shop) that allows multiple layers to be worn on that mesh, so the tattoo can be worn on top of the texture for the breasts and then a shirt over it . Since it appears you have the UV mapping maybe a similar script would work for you. Good luck
  13. It worked!!!! I carefully watched the video and tried to understand him (he has a lovely accent). It took a few tries and some errors, but, I was able to upload a mesh that could be sized a lot less than 0.010. The little red torus on top of the 0.010 prim is what I imported and it will go even smaller, yep that's an SL great toe and we know how small most feet are here. The video again is at The video is pretty clear, just takes careful watching of what he does to puzzle it out even if you don't understand the language
  14. Mmm, there is a video on You Tube, unfortunately for me, it's in French; it seems to show doing this with one vertice, but, I neither understand Blender or the French language well enough to be sure. Would love more detailed info on how to make nano mesh for jewelry...I tried attaching a large object to the chain links I was making and setting the material of the large object to transparent, guess we know, that didn't work so well, grins. It did allow me to get the links down below the min limit, but, the larger object was still visible...darn
