Thanks Ojiro That advise was given to me half a year ago...and yep, I followed that. the building works, still have some small steps to go (like texturing and packagiing) but so far, it workks. I have (hehe) learned most from the ivory tower (still have to sweep the top floor I assume), doing things, looking at how others do things and...the people in the forum The top floor is...strange...still, the view in wonderfull Mell xxx

Hmm, a patch of land is the option then...however, saving my work, I'd not know how. I usually link the whole thing and "take" it in inventory, then restore it, unlink and coontinue...but, I'm a noob builder Mell xxx

Hi all :) Okkies, I have my hard hat on and am ready to...build a house. If I do that is a sandbox, there are some issues/questions: - how do I put everything in one of those convenient unpack boxes? - are there sandboxes that have more than a few hours "return rate"? I cannot finish a house in three hours :) Of course, I was thinking in renting a patch of land where I can build at my own pace...but, is that the proper way to go about it? Hi all, The title basicaly says it all...I'm having my hand at building a house and would like the walls outside to have a different texture than the one inside (brick/wall paper for example) can this be done? Or, do I need to use an other trick? Thanks =^_^= Mell xxx

I see, so this does not really count for the stuff in their RLV folder. But I could basically "remoddel" his avi...(eek)... Incidentally, we may need to reorganise (and clean up) his RLV folder. I had an other subbie in-play a few days ago, her folder was pretty clean and all the objects were accessible easily...so i suppose there's some work there too... Lotsa stuff to learn Mell xxxx

Hi all ^^ Well, in following my previous thread, we've come to a new elan in out "relation"... :) Yesterday, he shared his objects with me so I can manupulate them...snag...(here it cmes) how do I use them/access them/manupulate them??? I use the Sungularity, with the RLV viewer, and a shared folder voewer. I suppose the latter only acceses the #RLV folder, and that is not what is meant by "sharing objects"... Obviously, I fired the salvo of righ-clicks at him (hehe, omonst other stuff) but to no avail, unless (duh) i missed it... Thanks for heling out this total-noob :) Mell xxx

Well, something is strange, unless he's using a setting I dont know about, and for a reason I dont understand. He still does not show on the site - online or offline - but does show in-world. The thing is that I'd like to stay in the friends phase, he apparently wants more the "relation" phase...and I'm not ready for that... I dont want to kick him from the whitelist of my home, rfr my heart, and I'd love to settle things with him... Mell xxx

Umm, guys... Werhter or not it's a friends or a contacts list is secondary to my underlyinig question: what do I do about a friend/contact that I agrue with all the time, that wants things from me I cannot always give him and starts to behave jealous ogf my other friends...and that I still like... Please dont make this any worse...as Sassy mentioned it's called a contacts list, whatever the tag ot title says, YOU determine werther those names are names of people you want to interact with...and now, one of them wants me all the way... sigh...Please font fight here ...thanks... Hi all, Okay, weird weird. I just logged in and reviewed my friends list...and one name was missing. I thought he unfriended me, so i went in-world to further inverstigate and ... he was still in the friends list... Who is in the wrong? I hope the site's list, personally... Anyone have that seen yet? The reason is that we had a big argument (one of many lately, honestly) yesterday...and it went somewhat agitated. It's not going too well (anymore) between us, so i tried to patch things up...I have a lot of friends, and he wants more of me, and that I cannot give him that all the time. Eh, it's a relation thing I wanted to resolve...so I stumbled on the different friends lists... Eh, if someone wants to ramble along with me (I'm somewhat "un groomed" right now) they're welcome... Okay, after an uneasy night over this, and a review of the IM log, I tried to figure out how to avoid this. There is a simple trich: uncheck the boxes you want to avoid, in my case PG content and mature are unchecked, that gives a shorter and more manageable list AND avoids "those" encounters... I hope this little not can help others in the near and far future Mell xxxx
