  1. I really didn't expect this thread to blow up like this but yeah, with the increased activity I've seen here I've also gotten two new Linden Dollar Assessments, which I haven't gotten since I initially posted this thread a while ago.
  2. Ohhhh that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up, credit card fraud didn't come to mind.
  3. I just got an email I've never seen from Linden Labs before, and I was curious what's going on, if anyone else has seen this before. The email is as follows: This email is to notify you that we have taken some action on your Second Life account. Action taken: Linden Dollar assessmentWe regret to inform you that the L$ recently sent to you may have been obtained through an unauthorized source. Due to the manner in which the L$ were originally obtained, we have removed them from your account. We have removed the L$ 238 that was sent on May 3, 2019(End relevant part of email) Has anyone else gotten this before? What do they mean by an unauthorized source? Does this mean I just don't get paid whenever this kind of thing happens? I'm pretty confused as to what went on behind the scenes.
  4. Thank you for the advice. I've went back and replied to hostile and bad reviews with offers for a replacement or refund, as long as they simply ask me for a replacement or refund. It's easier to be kind in the face of hostility than to just be hostile back. That wouldn't get me anywhere.
  5. Oh wow I didn't even think about competitors buying and reviewing... That's pretty sneaky. Thank you for the response. I guess that's all I can really do.
  6. I have a lot of happy customers with my sound HUDs (nsfw warning if you visit my store) but on rare occasions, I get called a "fraud" because something went wrong on their end (such as errors caused by delivery). Is there anything I can do to about reviews that call my products "scams" or "fraudulent"? They aren't exactly flaming or inappropriate content, but they aren't at all representative of my content either. I have a full refund policy and I respond fast. Unfortunately, the people who leave these reviews never respond back when I want to help them. What should I do as a seller, if anything?
  7. I'm usually a bit behind when it comes to news of stuff like this, so my initial reaction was a bit negative. But, if it means that our processing time has been reduced significantly and the cost to LL has been justified, I think I can live with such a change. :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2:
  8. Thank you guys for the tips on saturation points of products and general demographics of customers. Business picked back up today and has been rather normal. Could someone lock this thread?
  9. Thanks for the age figures. I'm thinking the person that told me my original information was young his/herself, so it was more of an assumtion.
  10. No, I shouldn't expect them. But someone pointed out to me that there are many 18+ year old players still in college or senior year do the adult Second Life thing, regaurdless of whether or not you like it. I'm not marketing to those people. I simply told you what someone else told me. Once again, I'd rather not expect them, whether or not they are/are not buying the majority of my product.
  11. Ehh, nevermind about this product. Someone alerted me that this is school season, so collegegoers and highschoolers might busy now. Someone bought something of mine just after I posted this anyway. I guess I spoke too soon and worried too quickly.
  12. I have a product that's been getting me about 6 to 9 customers daily, for the past 6 weeks or so. For the past few days, customer count has reached 0, which is extremely unusual to me. Is there anything that would cause a shift like this to happen that I don't see? Thanks for any help in advance. Edit: Business picked up again. I just worried too much too early.

  14. One more problem: I read that the scale of models are 1:1 Apparently 1 meter in 3DS Max is 1 meter in second life. However, all the meshes I've imported at proper scale are about half normal scale. Is the ratio different from what I've read?
  15. I'm using 3DS Max, so Google searches aren't helping me here (the threads I found were using Blender). Here's the problem for all of my current mesh uploads. I create the mesh just fine. http://i.imgur.com/lmIC1B9.png I create a basic collision. http://i.imgur.com/ij2UT8U.png I import it and it derps. http://i.imgur.com/DkLhMsc.png Anyone know what the issue is? The physics mesh import is wierd for me. It seems to rotate the entire physics mesh in some odd way every time. Rotating the mesh doesn't help either.
