Thanks for the information, Amethyst. VERY HELPFUL. My only comment is I am wearing a demo for a mesh shape and when I look in Appearance (under Avatar in the FS menu), it is the only shape I see that I am wearing. I don't see another shape that I am wearing the mesh shape over, as you say. Why is that?

I bought a demo mesh shape from market place and found that my regular clothes (nonmesh) didn't show up on the shape when I wore them. Will regular clothes not work with a mesh shape? Will only mesh clothes work with a mesh shape? What other challenges and limiting conditions will I find if I end up buying a mesh shape?

A friend of mine had someone offer her something, and she accepted it. What she got was evidently something that allowed the giver to permanently control her avi and does not allow her to cheat out in SLV. How do you create a thread in the forum? I went to community help but....it says "Go to the forum category (orboard) you want to post on, and click the Start a Thread link near the top of the message list.." I can't find a Start a Thread link. I'm in Google Chrome. Might that be the problem?

Wow. You are a godsend for Easter. Esc helped a bit. Esc+ Shift did nothing. Didn't try Ctrl+9. The three-fingered salute just took me to a blue screen to switch users. But the two things for the Advanced menu did the trick, both contributing. I owe ya.

I use Firestorm and I suddenly began having a problem where I am looking way down on my avi when I move her. So I can't see where the heck I am going, just the ground around her. I fooled with the move settings in Preferences and can't seem to make it better. What has gone wrong? I would like it so when I move her, I am looking more from behind her and looking slightly up from about where her eyeballs are. Would appreicate any help.

My friend Tiffany runs Kinky_One's Leather & Latex, also known as K-One and ....:: K_One Leather&Latex ::. But a search in Firestorm and Phoenix in Places doesn't turn it up. She is probably losing business on this account. How does she make it show up? I have her permission to ask for her. Also, I note that when you search on a keyword, many places will pop up. For instance, she sells clothes for Lolas and Tangos and would like these keywords to work in a search so that her shop comes up. And of course, other things like leather, latex and so on. Does anyone know why her shop isn't showing up now and how she can make it show up, plus have it show up for various keywords? Her shop is at Hoolie Bay. I stood in her shop and tried to make a pick for her shop but instead found that I had made a pick for the biker shop Picasa Cycles. Evidently the fellow that owns that store rents most of the sims. Maybe this is connected to the problem?

I've been in SL over a year and knew nothing about continents until the other day. Now I am trying to figure out how to drive on the highways. No one seems to know a place where you can simply rez a car or what have you and drive on the highway. How come? Someone gave me a link to a similar question four years back with more links, and I am finding them outdated. Can SL just simply give us some places to rez a vehicle and drive? This lack of ease of interface and of finding answers is why Second Life is not growing as it should.

I Have s a motorcycle but can't rez it on a highway on Sansara. Are there limitations to who can?
