I am having the same problem, I used SL the other day and it was great now its back to being really choppy and very slow. I know its not my broadband because I have the fastest in the UK. I am not computer savvy so can you suggest how I can change my SL server please so I can get a faster speed.

Hi Valerie its not Apple I have sorted the problem with help from a woman on here and I cannot remember her name but she told me to delete the messages folder etc from firestorm and now my sl experience is back to normal. My mac is great for graphics its sharp and can handle the high end gaming market. I think SL should accommodate more mac users.

Hi Madelaine, I have read your instructions and I am completely baffled, i have gone to the library as you instructed there is no cache folder for firestorm the viewer I am using, but firestorm is on my mac. The only cache folder I have listed is for my mac.

Hi Freya, I have no idea what a OpenGL is or FPS, and I find it very odd that when I first had the MAC it was super fast on SL, so I am a little doubtful about your answer, but thanks anyway.

Hi I have a mac desk top that's about 7 months old, when I first got it SL ran fine now its really slow in SL only. I have tried everything I can think of, lowering graphics, clearing cache, etc etc but nothing works, everything else on my mac works like a dream and very fast. I have fibre optic broadband so its not the broadband. I also have a Dell PC thats about 7 years old and that runs fine on SL so I am assuming its a MAC and SL issue. If anyone could shed some light on this issue it would be fantastic. I have read that other people are having the same issues.

Hi Alexis I am having the exact same problem, I have a mac desk top thats only a few months old and SL is snail pace slow, I have tried getting some answers from mac but they can't help, everything else on my MAC runs great just not SL, I have tried lowering the graphics, clearing cache, you name it I have tried it but nothing works, and I have fibre optic broadband. If anyone can help on this it would mean so much to me, but everyone I have spoke to has no idea.

I agree with Blaze on this issue. I personally couldn't give a flying f*ck Amethyst if your a designer or not. I have been on SL since day 1 and was always a avid PC user then I switched to MAC which in my own PERSONAL opinion are better machines, however I cannot use SL properly because Linden have not resolved issues with SL and MAC Mountain Lion. So boll*cks to Windows 7 and all the bugs that windows brings with it.
