  1. TP'ing around is good.. to get feel for SL grid overall. You need to pick places that match with your interest. Keep your World Map open and get used to using it.. to 'see' where your actually AT... as well as the mini-radar panel... getting used to it too. In both you should learn to recognize 'invisible' things such as sim edges/crossings. I STILL can't name all SL 'continents' and off-hand really KNOW where I am. I guess trains are best to travel in.. I've never really used them much.. some DO VERY MUCH. I just found (from a msg above) the Virtual Railway Consortium (?).. and have packed a freebie train into my inventory.. needed one of those! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tuliptree/120/172/30 I like my boats best in SL (mainly due to all those perils that are aggravating you). Next is helicopters (they move slower than planes).. but I'm a RL pilot so I understand those physics which to *loosely* translate into SL worldz! Cars/trucks are about the worst, but I'm getting better with them. Seems ALOT of residents enjoy motorcycles... those fit into same category of Cars/Trucks for me... just can't keep these wheeled vehicles on a road. Maybe I should stick with a bicycle!! (I'm sure my trouble is 'over-control'.. again, I'm getting better) One of the better airports to visit is http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Santa Catalina/212/131/22 You can go there to shop many creators.. or just stand around and watch things happen. There are airlines looking for passengers too that may be awaiting you. Sometimes it's slow.. but something will come along!
  2. it's ALL for FUN! As you deliver 'freight packages' you collect G$ (game dollars) and XP (experience level points). The G$'s are used in-game, as well as your XP level to determine what types of 'loads' you can take on. When you first start, I don't think you'll qualify for a TRAIN or Barge load, for example. Mostly all G$/XP is for bragging rights only.. otherwise. GTFO is has been in constant development over last 2 years.. at MOST. They would like to have G$ be 'worth' other things.. tho just is not right now. Of course.. this is User/Creator involvement in that specific vehicles are required... that require you to spend YOUR L$'s to buy, so there's real/virtual costs to it all. If you own land in SL it can be registered and setup as a Freight Hub to welcome other players to come 'take jobs' and deliver loads. I guess there are now about 300/400 Hubs.. all scattered across Mainland (again no TP is possible with a load on.. because of need to unsit from your vehicle). Vehicle creators are numbering into approximately a hundred, so there's getting to be MUCH variety in vehicles/destinations to choose from while playing. I've only been using it for about 2 weeks... had heard of since last spring.
  3. I've hit (and run over/into/around) most all obstacles and never had it 'break' my car/boat/plane. If anything ever did get 'broken' to point it wouldn't be usable... it's just go to MP or vendor and get a redelivery. I've been 'stuck' into ban line.. and couldn't get loose, causing me to re-log to get out of situation. Needing to go somewhere else in order to re-rez vehicle again, but that about worst of fates. Always 'run into' sim edges which isn't really a problem, just turn around and take another direction. There now are various 'radar HUDs' available.. as well as navigational aids... I haven't used them as much but am shopping. All are the unique challenges of troubles to encounter in SL travel.
  4. Check out this train on MP... it has link in posting for a demo rezzer inworld. Test drive a train!!! For ten minutes, I liked it! https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Infinity-Freight-Trains-v11/14080171
  5. Most likely as setting in Advanced Menu, sorry can’t say exactly which setting!! (hate dat! When it happens!!)
  6. *OMG*. You Need to get GTFO! Now!!! It’s an inworld shipping/receiving ‘game’. An absolute must have for anyone that enjoys traveling & navigation within SL Mainlands ( aka Madlands!). Search MP for GTFO, it’s $ON SALE$ this week ONLY, you won’t believe the Deal!! Creator has new version with new server as well. If I wasn’t on my cell right now I’d post links, but all is easy to find. Their new webpage is http://SL-gtfo.com Check it out!!! Highly recommended, Great group of SL freight jockey’s!!! BTW, TP with freight is not possible... and plans for SpacePorts are in the works too!!

I would say (being a total Noob on this subject)… Unwrapping in Blender and 'fixing' would be the answer. Altho… I did notice with recent FS 6.0 update that it's recommended to use SL ONLY version of FS 6... IF you are going to upload mesh. Dunno if that's an issue affecting UV mapping or not. I don't have any 'test' experience to tell about.. just noticed that and I need to downgrade FS because I usually install full versions)
  8. Go to your Account Dashboard, at secondlife.com Log on, click Community tab in top row click Go to Events Calendar, it’s near bottom of page. There’s a click on calendar page to submit one, and also to review guidelines.
  9. Get a monthly premium membership, than you can go ‘collect’ the cabin. Such a deal!(?)
  10. Several of my systems have done Windoze updates this week. I have them set to auto-download. When they do that my SL will nearly grind to a halt! Guess I should set a Preference for SL Only! In my OS somewhere!
  11. You can check JCNY Jewelry, sorry don’t have a LM right now. They are more formal tho, you seem to seeking more specifically
  12. JCNY jewelry had a tree in years past, with gift box via first letter of name. I’ve not checked this year, can’t right now... but someone may want to TP and check to out to let us know for sure.
  13. Linden homes are given randomly, depending on which style is requested.... and availability
  14. There should be a control panel just inside your door. Just click/touch it and a box will show up with a webpage addresses on it. Click that address, a webpage should open where you can control and change things (like window style). You can choose a closed window style... easier than positioning curtain at first moving in. Controls for fireplace and lock is in it too, plus different floor and wall styles. Just much to adjust at anytime you feel changes are wanted
  15. I’ve found double click TP only works in Snowball Arena, not in Wonderland. As for ‘changing’ things.... I have to suspect those Moles are at work with keeping all us on our toes!!! btw I tried snowzooka.. it’s snowball is HUGE and doesn’t shoot far... (would only be good for a group of Moles standing in one spot!). Rifle is best bet, I think.... tho haven’t tried pistol yet
  16. It was region restart day, could be reason for some variances. i didn’t search for a second box, been too busy taking those snowball shots, seems they come out of nowhere. Then lobbing return fire, of course!
  17. (There’s a little bit of sarcasm in statement above!!)
  18. This method almost effortlessly get’s topic title BACK to top of cue.... a timesaver such as this could really be helpful, L$ saver, when one has NO Time to spare!!!! 🤔
  19. <Erm...? "... by wearing your premium member token..." Eh, what's that? > 1st, you need to be a 'premium member'..... paying the US$72 per year (or other member package) Then got to a Premium Kiosk site, and click the terminal... get the token, and wear it from inventory.
  20. You can try Area Search, to list all items nearby. If you remember the name of the smaller plant, right click name in list, select Edit. That works in FS, dunno with other viewers. You can guess which object it is by distance... or just individually edit each object till you get the one you want
  21. See if there’s LM’s to Snowball Arena or Wonderland... you can bypass Portal Park. (can I say that?!... it’s a hack past first challenge!!)
  22. Those were Snowballs! I got plummeted too... but only because I found way to snowball arena (and Not the prize chest) was out of time to spend but did get a few snowballs launched back at that darn rowdy crowd... was totally outnumbered!! Must have startled them since they scurried off promptly!
