  1. Hi all I have a dilemma and do want to consult you all in solving this. I do run a few galleries in second life and started to cooperate with other (non-profit!) galleries to promote art, the beauty side of Second Life. I offered to promote the exhibitions of others too and started to do that more professionally. Creating lists, by selecting art-lovers that are committed to art in some way (other groups). To avoid becoming a spammer I did send my messages and announcements, using an object containing a script, but simultaneously included an IM with the request to tell me if they don't want to be bothered with announcements of exhibitions (any longer). Some did, I deleted them from the mailing list, and that made me dive again into the rather abstract text of ToS: Spam is (T0S): "An unsolicited instant message, notecard, texture, group invite, animate request, or object sent to multiple people. This can be sent by another player, or by an object containing a script." My dilemma/question is: how do you know it is 'unsolicited'? You can only know that by inviting people once, they telling you not to bother them again and deleting this person permanently from the mailing list, if protesting. But first you have to ask them! That is exactly what I do, and just a few told me not to bother them. As far as I know I stay within the limits of ToS, as long as I ask them to let me know to delete them from my list. I handle this respectfully. Correct reasoning? Thanks if you are willing to answer my question. And sorry for my bad English! Anasyro
