  1. I like to read reviews and so I tend to leave them too. The star rating doesnt effect me as much as what people have said. So, yes...put down your thoughts and if you unsure how they be received, well you could always just send notecard to the designer explaining things instead. If Ive loved something and then put it on and then think it looks all wrong, I figure its my loss and not something to complain about. Sometimes it happens. And as you say, the product is ok ......well you cant say anything bad because its the product you are reviewing not your tastes. Did you hate it so much? Did you try it on and ask someone elses opinion. Maybe it wasnt so bad as you first thought!
  2. Why say anything! Make up your own mind what you want to do. If you dont want to sit twiddling your thumbs waiting around in case someone wants to talk to you>>>dont. Shut down and go. Either say youre off or not, depending on how you feel at the time. On the other hand, if you want to play the martyr card and sit around waiting, well dont complain. Its your choice.
  3. Yes good....and if you change you mind, LL says (quote) 'Downgrading from Premium membership will not remove you from any of your groups, but it will mean that you cannot join any new groups until you remove yourself from enough groups to get below the Basic account limit, which remains at 42.' Thats very fair.

  5. I think you are onto something.... My sl partner use to say he didnt like it when I changed hair...until I told him 'its just different styles' lol even though some longer or curlier. (for him) I tended to stay same colour. He got use to it. When I started talking about the mesh bodies he thought it unnecessary for me to change and also he was use to 'my looks' and wasnt keen on me changing. We talked about it for a while and I after I assured him my 'head' would remain the same, I tried the demo...I went for it. And it was ok. I do feel our avis become an identity all of their own and any major changes need to be gradual (if you have someone special in your life). As for the 'big eyes' that might be fun. I do use the smile in open chat and would love some more emotions/facial expresions. I hear the new mesh head have expressions...so maybe I try one next!
  6. Welcome back Jumpman Im self taught too like Treasure but I had no-one to ask. I didnt make friends early on and struggled on alone and came to forum frequently to find how to do things. Because I took so long, I missed out on most of the free gifts because I wasnt ready to receive them. But I made it and now having a good time.
  7. I have a few of her hairstyles but not the 240...sorry. And it seems they are no longer available in marketplace so you are out of luck getting replacement I think. They were good value.
  8. Australia didnt win but Guy nailed the performance Congratulations to SWEDEN
  9. I attended the 'The History of the Vehicle in SL' and got the tshirt to prove it You are to be congratulated Sapphire on a job well done. I went a few times because the lag was bad mostly and difficult to get around and see the lot. So I understand the need for restricting the number of exhibitors. Shame it rebounded to you been banned.

Not realizing, that when there are 15 people in the room, it doesn't take a genius to figure out which avatars go with which locations. (I crossed that DJ off my list of people to listen to) I hope you reported this too Celestiall
  11. I enter my name every week (free) on the raffle board at the local dress shop and hope to win the L$1000 Never have though
  12. Ive always had a hankering to live in France....Burgundy, Champagne or Bordeaux regions. I can imagine rideing around the villages on my bicycle visiting quaint restaurant and sipping wine.

Taeem wrote: No, I´m doing my best to avoid any Eurovision Song Contest material since my early childhood, but I was curious if someone mixed up Austria and Australia, hey cmon those few leters more or less cant realy make a differnce, so I actually listened to the song while reading the comments, and they do, kind of, explain Australia in the Eurovision. And I do like that reasoning. What was more interesting than the actual explanations though were the things like 'Australia is not in Europe but it still is a European country. They follow the queen like all european countries.' And, pertaining the song itself, someone wrote that they are proud of Guy, because he wrote the song in just three days... edit: Though since I like the idea of some commenters that we should all vote for Australia, so the next Eurovision Song Contest would be staged in Australia...I´m tempted to watch and vote. Unfortunately opinions of the commenters on if the Australian song is even eligible for voting vary. It would be wonderful if Eurovision came downunder ....just once

  15. Kelli May wrote: On the occasions I watched it, I used to enjoy his measured cynicism of the whole shebang(-a-bang-bang). He annoyed me the other weekend, though, when he referred to Dana International as 'he'. I dont remember this incident but it only shows ignorance about Transgender identity. You would think any announcer reporting for television would be given advice on what to say!
  16. That was good article Bree, thanks. Speaking for myself, I like music and have watched a few Eurovision shows the last few years. Not got into the politics or the voting but just enjoyed the performances. The programme is broadcast into Australia by SBS and its that company that negotiated and financed Guy Sebastian's 'guest' entry this year. Like the other European countries, France, Britain, Spain and Italy, SBS has paid a hefty (undisclosed) fee, as well as the broadcasting fee, to enter the competition. SBS says they will not be making a profit but hope to win in the ratings game, expecting more than 1 million viewers to watch the Grand Final.
  17. Anyone here watching Eurovision this weekend? Australia has first 'offical' entry in the 60th year of this competition. Hope people like it.
  18. Its the imperfections that stand out or get noticed more....so it depends what you are after.
  19. When this song came out, I innocently thought they were commenting on same thing as the OP! 'You need a laptop' haha Coby...good solution!
  20. Its a shame I didnt see this before and I guess its too late now for that formal. I have same problem (but I havent gone to using OMEGA yet....thats another learning curb for later, for me). I too insist on getting demo before spending over L$250. Sometimes I message a designer/store owner and ask if they have demo. Usually I get good reposes, like no...but the model is Lara or other people with Lara have been successful with this dress. thats all I want to know. One place offered money back if dissatisfied. Once I find a line of clothes that fit...I usually return to shop there too. Another place I look is in flickr/blogs that mention clothes for Maitreya Lara. Shopping in the marketplace is good too. I look for the Maitreya logo. But remember that not all Maitreya products fit the Lara model. Ive found a few gowns and some I already owned and use the alpha hud to alter and fit my Lara body Bikinis are another problem. I only got one that really fits nicely.....Im still looking for these. Last week I bought a gown from Wild Orchid. It was one the Lara model was displaying. I changed and had to learn how to use 'applies' which I soon understood . But then when came time to undress....I couldnt get rid of that layer. I tried different outfits but the gown underlayer remained. (I looked so funny in bikini top and shorts with floral 'long johns' under them!). I couldnt figure out HOW to remove them. If I changed back to 'old avi' it was fine. Eventually I messaged store owner and she said....open the Maitreya hud and close the layer option. Wella...it was gone, like magic.
  21. wow thanks Maddie, I didnt know that. And maybe I was better off staying ignorant
  22. How would you even know if anyone was 'perving' in your home?
