  1. nevertheless - *continuing rant* - these specs are very likely part of the crash dump.... thx ppl
  2. disable "Enable OpenGL Vertex Buffer Objects" - gonna try that. yes its a notebook. runs the 2013 tomb raider without problems i'm sure this one is a bit more gfx hungry..
  3. Okies, first thanx to anyone who's trying to help here. Very appreciated! I must admit I've started this topic in a rant, because all those viewers out there are crashing in my face, not reproducible, sometimes when I move the camera, sometimes just when I stand around doing nothing. I'm having these problems since post-1.23. After a long time of absence - because I wasn't able to log in without crashing after a few minutes - I came back. I wasn't able to run any viewer even on the lowest gfx settings. The newest LL viewer allows me to be on for some time, still it crashes from time to time. Yes there is some progress, and I appreciate it. Phoenix&Co even worse. I'm a sw-dev, I'm aware it's hard to incorporate latest technology especially on a streaming network based solution and make it work for all those millions of different hw and sw configurations out there. That's my everyday job. But... I could live with and understand when it's slow and laggy on a not so decent hardware, but if my projects I deploy crash on whatever machine I deploy it and I don't care about it, I'll loose my job. Point. Anyway, here's the requested info. if anyone has an idea, lots of kisses to you ;-) Second Life 3.4.5 (270263) Feb 12 2013 04:43:00 (Second Life Release) Release Notes You are at *** Release Notes CPU: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T6400 @ 2.00GHz (1995.23 MHz) Memory: 3066 MB OS Version: Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit Service Pack 2 (Build 6002) Graphics Card Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc. 4. I agree. I love the idea, it worked for some time, some years ago. And I'm sure there will be someone who gets it right, will it be LL or someone other. But for now in its current shape... Probably not.
  5. IMHO the technology is dead, at least for now. Just go to a really crowded place, you won't even be able to move.
