I have participated in simulator games before and am planning on spending time checking out second life as well...however this is for an article/video presentation and there's only so much I can discern for myself without speaking with seasoned participants.

Hello! My name is Lindsey and I recently became involved with a western massachusetts-based nonfiction culture journal called "port.man.teau." This is a grassroots organization started only a few months ago. This edition's theme is "soclai media," and I wanted to look at Second Life and the way people integrate their real lives with virtual ones. I am interested in interviewing regular users. I'd love to create some video content for the port.man.teau webpage, so if anyone from the New York metropolitan area wouldn't mind being interviewed in their homes it would be ideal, but people from all over are welcome to participate.
