TP failures are a pain. Fortunately most TPs succeed but when they fail there is that ominous wait while the progress bar crawls rightward and, whatever you do, (you know) the system will log you out eventually. I suggest that what should happen is a transfer either to the nearest safe hub or to home - we can always logout if we choose.

Same here - we have the familiar uninformative euphemism "unscheduled maintenance" listed on the grid status page. I have tried live chat but they don't know what's up. I do wish the grid status would give us mushrooms SOME indication what the problem is such as a broken database server or something

The short answer is that you can't as avatars are not solid bodies like our real bodies are in RL so the normal collision detection between objects doesn't apply to parts of your avatar or clothes it is wearing. No amount of adjusting avatar shape wil cure this though the best animations get round the problem by simply not moving limbs through the body. This is just one of the many little quirks of SL given limitations of current computing technology. which drive the compromises that have to be made to achieve a usable system. I find it irritating or charming depending on my mood

Same here, no joy for over a week and no info from the maintenance crew who i assume have taken a break for the holidays Wish we weren't treated like mushrooms!

I have the same problem. I want to stop the chat from SOME groups but i want the notices. Disabling group notices does not disable group chat nor does deselecting the global group chat preference. It seems to me that this is a bug: they have left off the salient option!
