Just put land 'for sale'.... and keep lowering price until it gets snatched up. If you price it below L$1 per sqm it ought to sell fairly quickly (a week maybe - which can be a lifetime in SL!!) I never did like how auctions worked out anyhow. I believe you can 'request' to buy abandoned land at L$1 per sqm via a Support Ticket. But to get rid of it, quickly, abandoning is only choice.

Check out VRC (Virtual Railway Consortium) Freebie Wall. Get a Feebie "Hobo Train". Rez it at any railroad 'rez zone'... start it up and let it GO! Endless rails, easy to drive.. mostly just riding, once you get it moving. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tuliptree/122/168/30 (VRC Freebie Wall) When you get your Freebie train.. rez it right on track behind you... and GO! Many other train landmarks are available on Station wall that across the tracks.

I've had several boarding passengers as I fly around! They just TP-sit right in with me. One was quite interesting to chat with as we buzzed around north of the fairgrounds.... a cat avi as I recall. (I fly extremely low... under bridges and all... my copter is not that big, MUCH FUN for me... and being able to set-down on water ANYWHERE is a plus. 'Griefer-ish' ... is if I turn on it Siren! and Search Light..... could do dat RIGHT into a couple's window!! (Nah... I'm not DAT mischievous..... (maybe!))

I get around in a helicopter.... don't ya think that's annoying when I'm buzzing thru their treetops!!! LOL I have been known to intentionally 'buzz' the lil green dots of the map... but I don't hang around long. It's my neighbors that has to put up with going in/out all the time. BTW it has floats too... so doubles as a boat.

I had a problem like that.. where I couldn't open my door (in old Linden Home.. not these new ones) I had to do a support ticket thing.. and someone came out.... (with a lil flying Ferry avi) and fixed it while I was standing there. I'd have to bet that 'changing out' the house from mailbox then back to the one you want will fix it. Tho I've done that and I believe it resets all back to default... dunno for sure. Give it try, worst is you'll need to re-enter preference and perms. Btw.. you won't need to 'redo' your furniture or decor... it'll all be in wrong place with temporary floorplan. When you switch back to your chosen floorplan all will still be right place.

What's worked for me... to 'fix' this problem is to 're-wear' skins and shapes. Seems to be a 'bake' failure. Just 're-wear' a complete Outfit will most likely work, if you've saved skins/shapes in your outfit inventory. Overall... it still takes some time to 'bake' to a proper appearance, give it all a few more minutes to straighten out for you!

#1. The region/area that you are in at the moment MUST allow it. No "G" or maybe "PG" areas. #2. You need to be near someone of the opposite sex, near you, that is also wearing the HUD. I am not an expert.. just an interested user. It's been fun although seems there are a lot of Avi's just learning. One girl asked me... while in-world... if it was 'polite' to open herself to me?... Well.. I guess SO! I see they've put up a classroom... have not seen any 'class events' tho.

Welcome Rob! I trust you have met many challenges in the past (almost) 3 years in your position. I'm a newbie SLifer... little more than 30 days... and challenges have been many!! I would like to comment on the 'virtual currency' issue which I understand that Linden Labs is experiencing. My sugguestion is just to contact a RL investment bank and let them advise. I'd have to guess most would be more than welcome to assist in the matter, and I hope there would be a solution identified that could offer 'break-even' conditions on Linden's part. Please pardon me should I be over-stepping an AVI's routine, and I do not doubt that Linden Labs has already addessed this matter in appropriate ways. I'm withholding any suggestion of RL organizations in that I feel it's inappropiate for presentation within this forum. Good Luck!!
