  1. I know, probably a bit annoying being yet another technologically impaired poster whining about start up issues, but I'm hoping someone can help out my little issue, if there is any way to help it. Granted, my laptop is on a massive decline (bluescreens regularly and recently has issues running application files (.exe)), but I'm hoping that's something that can be corrected to some extent. I am saving for a new computer, but that will be anywhere from a month or more away and I'd like to run SL in the meantime to kill spare time. So, as stated, my computer seems to think most any application files are incompatible. Troubleshooting does no good; SL won't seem to work with any previous version of Windows. To run other programs, even internet browsers, I have to do so as an Administrator. But when I attempt to load SL, it immediately brings up an error saying a problem has prevented SL from functioning, and gives me only the option to close it. I have downloaded other SL Viewers, but when I attempt to run them, even as an Administrator, not even an error message occurs, and nothing happens. Through a bit more thorough troubleshooting is where I found out SL is being considered incompatible, and due to bored agitation, I ran SL as an Administrator repeatedly in rapid succession which actually lead it to opening, but this occurs only rarely, which leads me to think that the issue isn't beyond resolving. I'm afraid I can't give any more information, as I've none more to offer. I'm not a programmer or savvy with software, so I haven't the slightest on what else to try nor what else may be relevant to add to this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
