  1. A friend of mine invited me to go RP with them yesterday. I haven't done that in a while so I was pretty excited, but when I got there none of my posts were showing up. With some experimenting, we found out it was only the posts starting with "/me" that were having issues. I started complaining to them in IMs and, that's where the weird part starts. Though it wasn't showing up in local chat, every time I typed "/me" in an IM, it showed up as "/10 /me". I wasn't wearing any HUDs or titlers at the time that would cause that.

I have since tried everything I can think of to fix it. I've relogged. I've relogged into a clean sim. I've taken off everything I possibly can and relogged into a clean sim using the default viewer. Nothing worked. If there's something attached to me that's making this happen, it's a persistent little critter.

I'm out of ideas, so I could really use some help. What could be causing this?

It's a good base but you're right it does seem to lack a bit of personality.

If you're headed for Half Deer let me know, I haven't been there for forever and it's one of my favorite stores, I'd be happy to tag along n.n

Haha, sure! I have no willpower in that place, so it'll be good to have a shopping buddy.

In RL, somehow I manage to pull it off, even if I don't really "get in to it".  I get all sorts of complicates on the interior decorating of every room in the house that we've remodeled, with a few folks asking who I hired.  Personally, I think I just get lucky in that the misc things I like just end up going really well together.  Yet, for some reason I find the task daunting in SL. Maybe I just need to break it into smaller pieces and not put so much pressure on myself for perfection - I am really bad at the "I have to be perfect" crap.  I imagine I can probably fuddle my way throught the inside stuff, once I really put my mind to it.

As to the landscaping, I truly suck at even figuring it out.  We do not have a huge yard in RL, but we still paid someone to create us a landscape plan, with suggestions on where to put the paths and what sorts of trees & flowers and where to put them.  As of yet, we aren't willing to fork out the huge amount of cash to have someone else do it, so we are simply doing it in small stages, working from the blueprint the landscaper gave us.  I might pop around the grid, taking pictures of things I like, noting what exactly I like about them, and then actually hire the landscaping part out.

I'm bad about needing everything to be perfect too. I got my SL yard to look cute, but I'm redoing the inside of the house for the third time this month because it just doesn't look right. Good thing I like it because I spend a whole lot of time working on it. xD

I really suck at getting motivated to do it IRL, though. My house is all cluttered and my yard is big, but it's all weeds except for the little patio where I keep my veggie garden. Even that's getting cluttered because I keep buying more plants. I want it to look nice, but there's just so much work involved. Working in stages might be the way to do it. It's more manageable when you're doing it on your own, and I'm not willing to hire somebody else for it either.

I actually hate landscaping and decorating in SL (don't really like it much in RL either).  I might have to hire it out.

I'm the opposite. I love decorating. I've actually been thinking of hiring myself out as a decorator the last few weeks, but I have no idea how to do that or if I'm even good enough that people would want to hire me. xP

  5. -If there's no demo. This isn't just for hair, though. I don't buy anything that doesn't have a demo.

-If it doesn't fit my head. I'm open to doing some resizing, but it's pretty easy to tell whether that will work or not.

-The back doesn't look as good as the front. Gotta be pretty all the way around.

-If it's poofy on the top. I'm just not a fan of that particular style. It also doesn't look good on me.

I usually stick to Truth and Magika for hair. I've never had problems with them, except for the occasional poofy-headed style, which I guess isn't really a quality issue. xP

At one time I had a large parcel that I periodically set up for yard sale/swap for friends as well as my store. I kept track of my prims and noticed, after a yard sale had ended there was still 600 or so prims that were not mine. I had the land set so members of my group could rez stuff, mainly so they could open boxes.

I went looking and found some guy had set up a full skybox at about 3k meters up. I tried to talk to him, since he was in the box but was ignored. I proceeded to eject him from the group and then the land and banned him. He immd me all huffy and I told him he'd get his stuff back in a few. He acted like I didn't have the right since he could rez. I blocked him then got mean.

I returned his box.... in small pieces with something that was no copy for as long as I could so he had all this consolidated boxes in his inventory he had to rez to get his stuff. I also got the stuff from opposite sides of the skybox just to make it interesting for him when he opened them since stuff rezzes the difference is space the same as it was when picked up.

I then created a rezzing room.

Yep, don't make me angry, you won't like me when I'm angry.

When I first got my parcel, I noticed there were a bunch of prims somewhere that I hadn't seen before I bought it. I went looking around, and there was a half-built house about 800 meters up. I even caught the builder there a couple times. I struck up a conversation with him and I tried to be nice, thinking maybe he had an arrangement with the previous owner, but as soon as I mentioned the build he stopped responding. I gave him a week to get back to me, then returned everything. None of it was linked, so that wound up in tiny pieces too. xP
