  1. Personally? This is THE most reasuring news I could have heard.

Why would I -as a user- just want another "version" of what we already are capable of. Restrained by the limitations of what we currently have.

I dont care about how 'hard"/long it takes the inpopulation creators to figure out how to make their profits. They are THEIR profits. And I'm sure they or someone else with figure out how to make the goods.

What interests me is the opportunity virtually live at a level and with capabilities that we have not seen yet. To go farther than we have. I want a "NEW" world. Not an upgrade on the old one.

  2. Part of your rp. If the character or personae is stoic, or conservative, or even just large busted, and wants to play up /accentuate that fact, "details" like an underwire bra, or girdle (who's fat in sl?) can draw out that trait.

  3.  hey all , I have an av that was wearing a swimmer ao and the pose stuck. When out of the water, remains the same. I detached the ao and used  "stop animations" , but its only a temp fix.  Goes back to  the same pose when logging in OR tping . I stripped off everything I was wearing , no difference.  I do notice however that I cannot get the avatar character test to work. I've relogged, cleared the cache, undeformed, even reinstalled the viewer I'm using. Any insight?

  4. To tango or not to tango...that is the question.

    I own tangos.

Personally I think they are beautiful. The same way that I think the female body and being one is beautiful. HOWEVER, in rl and in sl I see the public at large act as if what's prefered is when females more closely resemble males in the shaping of their bodies and males resemble females in the dressing and adornment of theirs . Maybe its a "these days" type of thing. To find clothes that a moral and relatively conservative woman would wear with appliers IS possible. I know because I was one who was appalled and disgusted with much of what I saw sold for "clothes" that were for tangos. I pledged never to wear them. Made it my business to search out the non-cleavaged, "real" clothes. And you know what? It didnt matter. The fact that you have breasts that LOOK like breasts will make you a "**bleep**" in the minds of many you meet. You dont have to do anything. You dont have to wear some certain clothing.  To have parts that are not "just barely" female is sufficient. The REAL problem is the opinion bestowed upon women; that they either need to be almost asexual and austure or "they are whores". Thats where we are as a world; the facts of being a woman are dirty and denegrated to the point that the only time one is "clean and worthy" is if she figures out how to get rid of the appearance of being one; no hips, no behind, no breasts. The LL avi "has breasts" but they're flat to the body unless degravitized to the point of looking like spikey, unhuman rocks. So breasts then must lay flat to be acceptable.  I dunno about anybody else, but I have to turn my avi sideways to figure out if she's supposed to have breasts or not without tangos. Breast size 0 and 60 look the same. -just drawn and flat, one not quite as flat as the other but only by a touch.

Anyway, I said all of that to say "be ready". You can wear all the right things all you like, you will still "be damned".

    What she said!

I love club music as much as the ballroom stuff, but steer clear of the clubs due to the brain-twisting,  gesture-bating that goes on in most. It sucks to only want to hear club type stuff at home or some place private or even in an empty club due to that but I'd rather it than the "hoooooo"-ing and "thats my song" and taking up 9 chat panels to draw fingers out of asterisks or whatever. I mean, "really?"

  6. Every so often I've had yellow triangles randomly appear over some mesh part or another. If the item is detached, its forever after invisible to me and I have had to scrounge up the original if I still had it (does everybody really keep TWO of everything?)  Please tell me theres just a way to fix the part I'm wearing instead of repeatedly looking for the original (assuming I can even find it).

  8. As was said, to BUY land, you need to be a premium member. The only entity superceding your "ownership" then is LL.

USUALLY none of the other housing options require a premium membership. The caveat being that you should read any land or sim covenants to be sure. Every now and then theres an exception.

People also RENT land, its "owned" by a third party who is superceded by LL. Some rented land gives more "rights" than others, varying by owners. It can be a nice choice if you aren't interested in terraforming land, and  at a cheaper cost than "owning" it yourself.

Both "land" options require placing a house/build either purchased by or built by you.

Then there is the option of renting a house. This is a scenario where the land is owned by someone else, the house on it is owned by someone else, and all you have to do is "move in" (after paying the rental box of course). Drawbacks are inability to customise the house as you might like (walls or floor colors and such) and limits to exterior decorating. It does however "get you in someplace", typically allows for placing your own furnitures and such (make sure you're aware of how many prims you'll be allowed) and can be an option if you rp since a lot of them seem to be on rp sims.

The above option is linked to the final, renting an apartment. This option has the drawbacks of the above, and tends to have the least privacy as apartments are stacked or wall to wall or even just very closely situated to one another. However, they can be a very cheap option for someone brand new just wanting "someplace to call home base". Apartments come in a lot of sizes and configurations and may be furnished or unfurnished when you get them.

  9. see the thing is ..there is not just one group of people that are considered black..it's a common term because calling someone from jamacia  african american is offensive..

    to where black is not..

racism is not about skin color..it's about race..

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

I couldn't help but chime in EXACTLY because of what you said, .

IF in fact the op is an African American, (cuz I dont  remember reading that they were American if indeed they are) , what good does it do to seek out a black that is Nigerian, or French or wherever else? The commonalities to be shared with the op would be amongst black AMERICANS. Blacks of other nationalities would have a different shared experience and therefore outlook and even habits. But if THOSE facts are "irrelevant" , and skin color supercedes, then yes, Drake is in fact correct; It is racist. -The undertaking infers "only those of my skin color are worthy". Or to make it sound more like what it is, that there is something inherent in the skin itself that makes these more desirous, as  no other factor about the person is equal to the skin.

I do understand the desire to be with those a person feels they are "like", but "any ole body with the same skin"?   ...smh

  10. I don't know about deformed but mine certainly seem overly prominent to me. Initially I thought my shoulders weren't set far enough apart? Making them stick out that way? Didn't matter how wide I made them they still were overly there. I looked at a friends avatar and hers are the same and I'm POSITIVE she has a gorgeously proportioned avatar so yeah, there's something going on.

  11. Thank you everybody, y'all really helped. Thank you Ariel for being the first one to say the sl meter is off -reminding myself of that will help a lot I believe

I'd also like to thank those that contributed the LL history of not even telling people anything at first; it goes toward the "LL is broken" mantra I'm making :P

Marigold, dont get me started about having a number for a name (sigh) I thought when I signed up user names were only for logging in and I'd get to choose another one later. First time I've ever seen a body's log in broadcast.

And Nox, I never meant to offend you or anybody. Cuz I never called anyone unfeminine. I said it made ME feel it. And thats based on my rl raising and where I'm from. If I was having a good time about it would I really be posting this? Just because a thing doesn't apply to you doesn't mean you don't register it when mean things are said.

Its a lot to put together perception wise but you all have REALLY been awesome respondin. Thank you.
